3 years passed by quickly with Vergil imparting his skills to me in its entirety. How did I know 3 years passed by if the sky doesn't turn dark? Zeltretch told us.
My relationship with Vergil is like a master and a student. I respect his strength and his way of teaching, albeit crude since what I mostly learned from him was tested on me first. Judgement Cut, Judgement Cut End, he even combo'd me in the air for almost an hour and I have to find a way to defend his attacks, and saying it was endurance training. Like hell it was, it was just him beating me up.
He taught me a lot from basics like full-body training, efficiently controlling my mana and efficient dodging. He then taught me the advanced things like his swordsmanship, using quicksilver, even using the Ultimate Eye to its fullest, and syncing with my doppelganger. He also taught me on how to roughly use Rebellion since its from his brother.
Lastly, he taught me on how to tap on my Demonic Forms. I've managed to access up to Sin Devil Trigger but I couldn't maintain it for a long time. Vergil told me that I would have to fight my Half-Demon counter part by splitting my bloodline with Yamato but we don't have enough time since Zeltretch came and said to leave it be and treat it as a challenge since if Vergil helped me out then I could definitely access Sin Devil Trigger in its full glory and there's no fun if I got it so easily.
On my stay on this forest with Vergil, I don't know how to explain it but I thought that this is the first time Vergil did something way out of his personality, he created a bond with me, not a homo type of bond but a friendly one. He told me of his stories on his travels how he had to change his name to Gilver to avoid suspicion from demons. He tried chasing power with everything he got until he burned out, for revenge.
Not really surprised about his revenge, I shared my story and we both found ourselves laughing at our similarities. It was all good but all good things must come to an end.
"Its time." Zeltretch said as I nodded and he waved his hand as another portal appeared besides Zeltretch.
I looked back to Vergil and nodded in appreciation. Before Zeltretch waved his hand again, a book flew towards me and I could only trace Vergil's last words before being swallowed by the portal.
"Are you fine going back on your own like that?" Zeltretch asked and Vergil nodded coolly.
He drew Yamato and cut the space before entering as the space closed itself on its own. Zeltretch smiled after seeing the change that happened to Vergil himself.
My body turned into an orb before falling down to Earth. Although I said Earth, I know for a fact that this is not the same world I know. My orb body fell down like a shooting star and crashed upon a young man, a teenager. My orb body took over as soon as I crashed into him.
I opened my eyes and saw an unfamiliar ceiling. I changed my posture as I sat down and loads of information crashed towards my control center, the brain. My Thought Acceleration was running at full speed as I manage to receive every information and make an individual room for each of them.
I used my Thought Acceleration to gloss over the history of this body. This body have the same name as me, Vergil. This young man was picked up in the trash when he was a kid by an old man that he called grandfather because of his potential. The grandpa that picked him up is from an old ancient family and he was at the top, the Great Elder.
The young man was personally trained by the old man in the art of Kenjutsu or swordsmanship. And the young man didn't fail his expectation, in fact, he was a genius as he picked up everything the old man taught like a sponge and his grandfather was overjoyed by this fact. Because of the special care given to the young man, he was a subject of ire, jealousy, and hate as he grew up. He shrugged all of them as he did not want to be tangled with the family since he clearly knows he's an outsider but the old man kept on telling him that he is a part of the family whether he likes it or not.
Alas, even the old man succumbed to the pressures of time. His son took over his place and those jealous of the young man told the new elder to kick the outsider and that, he did.
Thankfully, the old man already prepared for such scenario, the old man used his authority to make him a different identy, secretly gave him a house away from the family and placed it under his name and sufficient money to return to a normal school. The young man haven't experienced a normal life since his time was devoted into polishing his skills with a sword so it should be a brand new territory for him to enter a normal school.
The young man, kicked out of the house, paid respects to the old man one last time before parting ways with him. The jealous and hateful members of the family doesn't seem to be satisfied with him being kicked in the house as they sent someone after half a year of peace to avoid suspicion and end him.
Although he managed to kill the assassin, he was stabbed and poisoned before succumbing to the poison as well. That's when my orb came in and took over the young man.
"What a mess." I muttered as I finally noticed the messy room. I looked at my body and saw a hole in my clothes but the wound has closed up. I looked around and saw the dead assassin lying on the floor, dead.
I stood up and placed the body in the storage to dump later. This young man's body stats is pretty impressive as well. The strength stats' assessment is already at A-rank while the Agility stats'assessment is at S-rank, Mana stat is also at S-rank while the most pitiful stat is actually endurance at B-rank.
I then took a bath and wore plain blue shirt and pants as I cleaned everything on the house. I might not look like it but I'm a clean freak. (Think of Vergil wearing a scarf like Levi Ackerman when cleaning)
Since the attack happened at midnight, I finished cleaning everything up and noticed that the sun is nearly up. I showered quickly and wore my uniform. Today is the first day of school for me but in reality, its in the middle of the semester. It was like meeting the full cast of the show.
I used my Thought Acceleration to grab a map from my memory bank and ran to the school the young man was enrolled.
Before going straight to the school, I entered a dark alley and released the corpse and the murder weapon in my storage. The sight of a corpse doesn't startle me anymore since that is always my state after being beaten black and blue, or rather, cut to pieces by Vergil.
After dumping the body, I used Dark Slayer Arts to vanish from the alley and walked like nothing happened.
Arriving at Kaisei Academy, I'm seriously wondering what kind of changes would happen with me being here. Although I could just evade being summoned by not going, something inside me is telling me to go ham.
'I guess after being beaten all the time, I want to vent out my frustrations. I'm not becoming a battle maniac, right?' I thought to myself before stepping inside.
"Good morning, Vergil-san." A smooth voice sounded and I turned back to look who it was.
A beautiful woman with brown eyes and a long black hair that reaches her waist. Memories popped up to show her but I know who she is.
Kaori Shirasaki, an extremely kind and friendly woman who had a major crush on Hajime Nagumo, the main character of the show.
Another set of memories popped up after seeing her friends alongside Kaori. Shizuku Yaegashi, Kouki Amanogawa, and Ryutarou Sakagami.
'Color me surprised, to think that Shizuku Yaegashi is a childhood friend of mine. She definitely knows its me but something is definitely holding her back from claiming that she knows me.' I thought as I smiled back to her greetings.
"Good morning to you as well, Shirasaki-san. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go ahead." I said as I looked at Shizuku before making my way inside as I slipped into the crowded gate with ease.
"Is it just me or did Vergil just smiled and returned my greetings?" Kaori looked back to her friends asking for confirmation. Ryutarou shrugged while Kouki just nodded.
"Yes, indeed." Kouki said, similarly surprised. They all thought that Vergil is not that kind of person. Though, it's not their problem, but Vergil's. Because he kept on training, he didn't mingle much with people, especially since a lot of the family members hated him for some reason. Thus, leaving Vergil with not much experience talking to his peers.
Shizuku on the other hand is being eaten by guilt. She and Vergil were childhood best friends but because of her family telling her that Vergil is an outsider and shouldn't be befriended, she distanced herself from Vergil and since then she haven't heard of any news about him until the death of Vergil's grandfather.
When she learned about Vergil being kicked out, immense guilt, concern, and worry flooded her. Guilt, because she lost a friend who supported her. That one person who supported her and stopped her from hating the sword, was gone, just because she believed her elder's words. While concern and worry flooded her mind for Vergil's whereabouts.
It wasn't until half a year ago that she met Vergil once more, not as a childhood friend anymore, but just a mere classmate. She thought of talking to Vergil but she didn't know how to open up with him, should she just say if he remembers her? But she was the one who avoided him and every time she managed to gather her courage to speak, his 'dead' eyes made her falter while her guilt ate her up even more from the inside.
Vergil didn't really spoke to anyone inside but no one dared bully him. Well, Hiyama's gang tried to but they were beaten black and blue by Vergil.
'Hm? Am I early?' I entered the classroom and noticed that there's still few students and when I looked at the clock, I noticed that I'm 30 minutes early as usually my guy comes to school barely on time.
I sat on my spot at the very back row, second seat near the windows. As soon as I placed my bag down, a voice made me look sideways.
"Vergil-san, have you watched last night's show?" The boy asked.
"Nope. Why'd you ask, Hajime-san?" The moment I replied, Hajime Nagumo froze like an ice block.
"D-did you just reply?!" Hajime said with a gasp earning a few gazes which made Hajime shrink back a little.
Although Hiyama and his gang never really troubled me anymore since my guy has beaten them black and blue, there's an exception to everything. Hajime Nagumo, the main character of the show. This boy kept on pestering my guy about guns and engineering stuff which my guy felt interested in but since my guy doesn't know how to socialize properly, my guy didn't know what to say and as a defense mechanism from travelling unknown territory, my guy just gave him a cold shoulder but the guy did treated Nagumo as a friend when he beat Hiyama's gang, black and blue once again, after witnessing Hajime being bullied for being an Otaku.
'My guy, what a tsundere... just kidding.' I thought as I mocked my guy a little.
"Why? I'm not a mute so why shouldn't I speak?" I said making Hajime widen his eyes in shock.
"W-well its just... unexpected. I mean..." Hajime trailed off and I knew what he's talking about.
"Oh, okay." I ended the conversation and lied down on my desk while waiting for the home room teacher.
'Ah, the fresh smell of wood.' I thought as I slowly drifted to sleep.
