12 Vin Alamba's Efforts

It didn't feel like time had passed and it had been a month since Vin was just doing the grunt work of a maid in the big Hojo house. Moreover, Vin only lived alone with Hojo in the big house. Either because Hojo really couldn't afford to hire a few maids or Hojo was testing Vin.

The only time that can answer!

Hojo's new maid named Vin Alamba works very diligently and without complaining.

Starting from getting up in the morning, cooking, and cleaning the house to going back to sleep at night, Vin did it alone. What Hojo did all day was shut himself in his study and only came out during mealtimes.

Vin didn't have a chance to ask Hojo because of the household chores that Vin had to finish every day. Hojo never asked Vin to speak more than three sentences when he finished eating.

Vin can't mind Hojo's strange behavior lately or is Hojo basically like that? Vin can't guess because Vin has resigned himself to his fate if he ends up being Hojo's servant for the rest of his life.

Vin could no longer imagine the Academy life that Hojo had talked about when they met or what about the school Vera was in. Vin should be grateful for not having to go to jail for accidentally killing Bono Hanzo.

What Vin never knew was that Bono Hanzo was one of the men of the Black Crescent Night Gang whose name was quite famous in the city. The Night Gang is very disturbing and loves to act criminally on the highway. They even dared to steal in front of the police station!

The Black Crescent Night Gang is a criminal gang that is illegal and very difficult to crush by the police. Even the Local Government does not have enough power to dissolve the Disturbing Gang. Vin does not know if Bono is one of the most-wanted members of the police and the most feared!

Meanwhile, in a corner of the city, several members of the Black Crescent Night Gang were discussing Bono Hanzo's death quite loudly. They are the subordinates of Bono Hanzo himself who is not satisfied with the leadership of Bono Hanzo.

"If Bono can die in one hit like that then there's no chance for us to live if we're there at that time. After all, what does Bono expect from a father who has sold himself to the Black Crescent Night Gang for a peaceful life? If I were Bono's father I would probably do the same." Said one of the tall, skinny members.

"You only dare to talk behind Bono's back. Even though all this time you were very afraid of Bono's big body, right?" the laughter of the tall, skinny man's companions echoed like a tree in the wind.

Instead, the tall skinny man just smiled wryly and continued his lunch. Nothing would change if the tall skinny man defended himself in front of his friends. Self-defense is only done by a coward!

They couldn't even understand why the tall skinny man hated Bono so much that a child had died horribly. Although the case of Bono's death was never made public, all members of the Black Crescent Night Gang knew very well that only a child who happened to have the power had killed Bono by accident!

Still, the tall skinny man was not calm. If only a child who previously didn't look like a child with abilities had managed to kill Bono, then the future might be even more terrifying! "Aren't you afraid that that little kid will come to our place and destroy the place where we work?" rebuked the tall skinny man in a very serious tone.

Surprisingly, all of the guy's friends burst out laughing. They couldn't believe what the tall skinny man said was a form of fear!

"That kind of thing is impossible, my friend. You watch too many female dramas. What might happen is that we find that little boy and kill him for killing Bono so sadly. But what happened we were very happy with Bono's death.

Bono, the child who has no manners and likes to play rough, should have died according to his bad behavior. Even if we have to take revenge it's a waste. I won't do such a silly thing even if you all invite me. That little boy must have been recruited by the Herculean Academy likes to look for hero talents." said one of the tall, skinny male friends.

"That's what I know. You don't have to explain it to me. I also don't want to ask you to avenge Bono's death. I'm just going to make sure that Bono's death doesn't bring the Black Crescent Night Gang to pieces like they used to." argued the tall skinny man.

"You mean the time before Bono Hanzo entered our group? When the former Guildmaster who was famous for being arrogant and stubborn was crushed by some of the Herculean?" shouted one of the tall, skinny male friends wide-eyed.

"Right. I don't want that to happen again in the future. We are a criminal group. But we also have a code of ethics and self-respect. I don't want our group to be destroyed because someone with that incredible greed destroys all of us." said the tall, skinny man in a sad tone.

Still, he remembered quite clearly the time when the headquarters of the Black Crescent Night Gang was destroyed by one of the Herculean troops with just a single blow. At that time the tall skinny man was still young and his spirit was still burning but still unable to defeat a handful of Herculean troops.

"Of course. Therefore let's stop talking about Bono Hanzo. Let him die in peace. Hasn't Bono's father also given up on his son's departure?" said another tall, skinny male friend.

"So true."

"Yes, that's right. I just want to eat in peace. Please don't talk about something that will make me lose my appetite."

Vin who was preparing dinner for Hojo felt nauseous. At one corner of his stomach, Vin felt that something was moving uncontrollably. Until finally Vin's eyes dispersed.

"Vin? What's wrong with you? Why did you pass out in the kitchen?" Hojo's voice woke up Vin who was still trying to open his eyes.

Hojo's worried look made Vin feel guilty. For some reason, Vin saw the Hojo that Vin had seen the first time he met.
