The World Government Makes Another Move

Her breathing was ragged as she calmed herself down, it was as if she had met the Devil and lived to tell the tale. The only thing I could do is wait patiently as she regained her composure.

"Is there something wrong going on with our pirates?" I asked after she calmed down.

"No, I'm afraid that one of Whitebeard's territories has been destroyed," She replied solemnly.

Silence dominated both ends of the lines as I stared at the transponder snail.

"What do you mean, destroyed?" I asked calmly.

"Its just as I have said, the World Government had issued a Buster Call. They didn't even use Marine Ships, they were all World Government ships," She responded anxiously.

"Who was leading this attack?" I continued asking.

"It may have been one of the Celestial Dragons of the World Government, but he didn't have the cover that the rest of the Celestial Dragons usually had. Instead, he had a long beard and a cap to cover his dreadlocked hair, do you know him?" Olvia inquired.

As soon as Olvia described the person's appearance, only one name came to mind. Jaygarcia Saturn was known to have a more interactive relationship with the outside world compared to the rest. The fact that he was moving about so soon was rather concerning. However, the news of the World Government sinking one of our territories was even graver.

"What exactly did you find on that island that made them sink it?" I asked.

"It was another Poneglyph, however, unlike the others this one addressed the turmoil of the World that was 800 years ago. I don't want to tell you information like that on a call, we need to meet in person," She replied seriously.

I quickly understood what she was implying. The fact that she had left the island wouldn't go unnoticed to people like Jaygarcia. The World Government was probably tapping this call as I spoke to her. If they really wanted her gone, it was easier to believe that they would do anything possible to make it so.

"Alright, Since you have my Vivre Card, hide for a bit. Then start following my location deep into Whitebeard's territory, if they really want to start a war. They will follow you," I advised.

She immediately responded in compliance before hanging up. I immediately got up from my couch and used Soru to go to the Moby Dick where Whitebeard was on. As soon as I got there, I immediately felt a burst of Conqurer's haki spread throughout the entire ship. It was clear that Whitebeard had just received the news.

"Those World Government Pawns dare to pick a fight with me?!" Whitebeard boomed furiously.

All the Division Commanders were currently assembling on the deck near the bow of the ship. I had landed on the hull and I could hear footsteps rushing towards Whitebeard.

"I'm gonna destroy that goddamn island in Mariejois! Those bastards think that they can get away with this?!" Whitebeard growled as I walked into the meeting.

All the Division Commanders were currently gathered there, there faces were solemn as they remained quiet to listen to Whitebeard's tirade. They couldn't really do anything because they had been using all their will power not to faint in the face of Whitebeard's Conqurer's haki.

All that aside, I had to admit: The World Government had been more active than they had been in the anime. Normally they would be sending the Marines to do all their dirty work, however, I was quite surprised to hear from Olvia that they had chosen to directly handle this matter. With an Elder of the World Government no less. I couldn't help but assume that whatever Olvia had found was vital for the World Government to hide.

As of now, I needed to find a way to leave the ship; and this was the perfect oppurtunity to do so.

"Pops, let me handle it," I suggested.

"Handle it?! NO! This means war! I am tired of sitting idly by while watching the World Government do as it pleases in my territory. We are going to Mariejois and wrecking the place. Set Sail NOW!!" Whitebeard boomed.

"We both know that directly confronting them could lead to the destruction of the Whitebeard Pirates, do you wish to kill your own family?" I argued calmly.

Whitebeard was not in a mood to reason, the only way that I could get him to calm down is by the use of family. I personally believe that his family was the only reason that he had died in the war. He had to hold back against the Marines. If he went their by himself, it wouldn't have been to hard to destroy the entirety of Marine Ford. The Marines, knowingly or not, had been using his family against him throughout the entire war.

Whitebeard looked down at me coldly after my response. His already dreadful Conqueror's haki became even more baleful as he pressed down on me. I calmly resisted with my own Conqurer's haki, our standoff led to an even larger clash of wills as the pressure from our haki started to crack different parts of the Moby Dick.

The clear skies of the night were immediately covered by darker clouds and thunder began to boom throughout the seas.

"Brat! Are you going against my orders!? Your own Father's Orders?!?!" Whitebeard questioned me menacingly.

At this point of time, most of the Division Commanders had already passed out. Only a few ones like Jozu and Marco remained standing, though they were on their knees fighting the pressure that Whitebeard and I had let out.

"You and I both know that our forces aren't enough to contend with the World Government, not to mention the full brunt of the Marines. Tactical planning is vital for our next steps, not a full force assult," I reasoned with him.

Whitebeard seemed to acknowledge my sense of reasoning, but he refused to accept it.

"The Territories under our protection won't trust us if we do nothing! What's the point of them bearing our flag if we can't hold up the end of our bargain! Answer me, BORIS!!!" Whitebeard shouted as he let out the full force of his haki.

At this point of time, All the ships belonging to the Whitebeard Pirates were all quiet. It appears that our Conqueror's haki had knocked all the surrounding ship's occupants unconcious. The only reason I was still standing calmly was because my haki was keeping up with his. Turquise and silver lightning slithered around our surroundings as Whitebeard stood up from his seat. I could tell that he wasn't going to let this go no matter what.

"Alright, you got it. Could you please release your Conqurer's haki? Everybody is knocked out," I relented.

I wasn't Shanks, who valued the balance of the World. Picking a fight with the World Government was an eventuality. The question had always been about when this would happen. Since Roger has yet to pick up Oden, I could only assume that he would eventually.

"Well, how do you plan to attack the World Government? We're not directly barging in there, are we?" I questioned him.

Whitebeard still hadn't released his Conquerer's haki, and I had no intention of releasing mine. It was obvious that he didn't take kindly to my opposition to fight the World Government.

"If we're going to attack the World Government, it would be better if we went after their valued assets. It's a much more lethal blow to them than a direct confrontation." I suggested.

"Do I look like a coward like Charolette? I will do no such thing!" Whitebeard opposed.

"The World Government gets its value from its members. Although they have more valuable assets elsewhere, they wouldn't be as significant as the members who pay them tribute every year," I argued.

"Mariejois is the main base for the World Government, it's easier to hit them right where it hurts," Whitebeard stubbornly opposed.

It was a good thing that the rest of the crew was knocked out unconcious, because I was beginning to get pissed off as well. This man wanted to go on a suicidal mission because of his bruised ego, this would be the first time I saw him value his own reputation over his family; The World Government had thoroughly pissed him off.

Should I start a war?
