[ Third Person POV ]
Moby Dick
The 0 Division's ship had finally arrived at the location where the Moby Dick was said to be.
Contrary to what the Whitebeard Pirates had been expecting, Boris was nowhere to be seen, instead; his Sub-Division commander, Stussy, was substituting in his absence, and Whitebeard didn't seem to be too happy about this.
"Where's that brat, Stussy?"
Whitebeard and the head Division commanders for the Whitebeard Pirates were all gathered on the Moby Dick along with Stussy, Bubble Jack, Carla and Mont. Fiore.
This was not only a Division meeting, but it was also a meeting to decide whether or not they would allow the trio into the crew. Whitebeard wanted to listen to Boris' explanation on why there were three people instead of the one that he had been talking about on the call.
"Ooooh, Boris is in trouble~" the 8th Division commander, Namur, snickered quietly on the side.
"Boris has been inviting quite a bit of pirates in the crew, don't you think?" Vista remarked as he stared at Mont. Fiore.
"It's like he's trying to build up a roster or something, where is he?" Marco asked curiously as his eyes veered among the trio.
"Well, Boris decided that he was going to Wano. So he left me in charge of the ship," Stussy replied firmly.
"Boris thought he could just disappear without telling me?! His own Father?!" Whitebeard's voice boomed throughout the whole ship.
Everyone, excluding the trio, could tell that Whitebeard was mildly annoyed at what Boris was doing. However, it was rare for Boris to do something random like that.
"He said something about paying Oden a visit..." Stussy replied before she was immediately interrupted.
"Oden?! That's weird, we never heard from him since we got back. I hope he's doing okay," Marco remarked.
"Did Boris carry his transponder snail with him? Maybe we can call him and Oden!" Jozu suggested hopefully.
"I think he did, but I haven't called him ever since he left," Stussy replied.
"Get me a transponder snail, we'll see what that brat's up to right now," Whitebeard ordered.
In little to no time, a large transponder snail was resting on Whitebeard's arm rest. Whitebeard quietly dialed Boris' phone number, and the entire ship fell silent as the call rang. It was only after two to three rings did Boris finally pick up the call.
"Old man, what is it? Stussy already make it there?" Boris immediately began asking.
"You brat! When I told you to come see me, I meant in person! Why aren't you here yet!" Whitebeard replied.
"Oh, I'm just helping out here and there. Nothing too much..." Boris replied casually.
"If it isn't that special, couldn't it wait? Anyway, where's Oden? We want to talk to him," Whitebeard replied.
"I had left his place earlier, you should've called me then," Boris replied.
"Fine, but how is he?" Marco landed near the phone.
"He did something irresponsible, and now he's paying the price. What do you think?" Boris answered.
"What are you talking about? Did he cause more trouble when he got there?!" Whitebeard boomed.
"Not necessarily, he's just facing the consequences of his impulsive way of thinking," Boris replied.
"You keep saying that, but you're not explaining what exactly he did," Marco pointed out.
A sigh could be heard at the other end of the line before Boris responded, it sounded like a long explanation was incoming.
"When Oden had joined the Whitebeard Pirates a while back, his father was the Lord of Wano. However, something had happened during the span that Oden was gone. His father is no longer the Lord of Wano, a man by the name of Kurozumi Orochi had taken that title for himself," Boris started.
"Then he had somehow managed to blackmail Oden into dancing naked across the capital city, under the guise that Orochi would be leaving after five years."
"That's stupid," Marco pointed out, "why would he willingly give up power when he already has it?"
"Maybe he's weaker than Oden?" Jozu asked.
"He is," Boris replied, "the thing is, however; he's quite the cunning man."
"How so?" Whitebeard replied.
"Orochi had somehow managed to make an affiliation with Kaidou and the Beast Pirates. It's clear that they've been here for quite a bit because of all these weapon factories," Boris explained.
The entire ship was enveloped with silence upon hearing the news.
"What the hell is Kaidou doing in Wano?" Whitebeard growled.
"He's been here for quite some time, matter of fact, I'm on my way to his residence as we speak."
"Wait, are you trying to start another war here? You know that Kaidou is affiliated to Big Mom, right?" Marco asked bewildered.
"Not necessarily, I can't even kill them even if I wanted to because Oden won't let me. He resolved himself in cleaning this mess up by himself. Too bad that he's too stupid to realize that he's going to get screwed," Boris responded.
"Pops, should we head to Wano to help?" Namur asked seriously.
No matter how The Whitebeard Pirates looked at it. If what Boris had been saying was true, then it would mean that Kozuki Oden was leading himself to a violent death, it was a good thing that Izou wasn't there to hear what had just happened. He probably would have dropped everything just to make sure that he could help his Lord.
"No, at least not for now, anyway;" Whitebeard replied, "If he wants to prove himself to the people of Wano that he is worthy to become the Lord. He should handle his business like one," Whitebeard replied, "us helping him without his blessing is no better than what Kaidou is doing for Kurozumi Orochi."
"What if Oden dies?! We can't just stand by and do nothing??" Curiel, Captain of the 10th Division, exclaimed.
"Are you prepared to have another War then?" Whitebeard asked calmly, "It hasn't been too long since we had that battle with Big Mom, Kaidou and Shiki. Though we did win that battle, we had the help of Roger at the time. Are you prepared to take on two pirate groups who together have twice the number of men?"
Whitebeard sighed quietly.
"I do not wish to lead my children into a losing battle. I won't forgive myself if I lose you all," Whitebeard talked.
"If Oden decides to ask us for assistance, then I won't hesitate to go help," Whitebeard announced, "but until then, I don't want anyone interfering with the affairs of Wano. Understood?"
All the Division Commanders shifted uncomfortably before responding affirmatively.
"That also includes you Boris. Get back here as quickly as you can, you have no business facing Kaidou," Whitebeard said as he looked at the phone.
"I'm not gonna kill him, I just want to talk," Boris responded.
Whitebeard looked conflicted about things. It was obvious that he wanted to help Oden, but his position wouldn't allow him to, it was obvious that he cared more about the welfare of his people compared to Wano. As he should as the Captain, but the same couldn't be said about his Vice-Captain, he didn't have the same jurisdictions and restrictions as Whitebeard did.
So the question that raged in his mind was whether or not to let Boris roam free.
"Are you planning on helping Oden?" Whitebeard asked finally after a long period of silence.
"Not really, just cleaning house a bit and then leaving. So there isn't anything wrong with what I'm doing," Boris replied.
By now, all the expressions of the Division commanders had all brightened a bit.
"Fine, just make sure you get back here," Whitebeard said after letting out a brief sigh.
