[ Third Person POV ]
Red Port
Dragon and the rest of the Revolutionary Army that had accompanied him to save Ginny were caught up in a nasty surprise by the World Government.
He knew it wouldn't be a walk in the park to infiltrate the town and use the Bondolas to get to Mariejois. However, this was far from what he had been expecting because the two people standing before him were none other than two of the Five Elders who were tasked with keeping an eye on Bondolas.
Saint Marcus Mars and Ju Peter had already detected their presence and were merely waiting for them to take the initiative and attack. They were more than ready to burn Red Port down, and it was even more unfortunate that the people who lived in Red Port were all still there as a way to make the bait more authentic.
The two Elders stood before Dragon and waited for his next move.
"I bet you hadn't anticipated this to happen. Did you, Dragon?" Saint Marcus stroked his beard gently as he asked him.
Dragon didn't say anything; instead, the wind around the entire town began to pick up rather intensely. The Revolutionary Army that had followed him all cautiously readied their weapons as they waited for their leader to respond.
Dragon's mind was on overdrive as he tried to process the possible causes that led to the situation. Although he could draw out a few possible theories, they wouldn't solve the current predicament that they were in.
"Quickly check to see whether the Bondolas are operable; if they have company, get rid of them," Dragon ordered his subordinates.
He knew that it was damn near suicide to fight with people he had little information about. So he decided that he would play it cautiously for a while so that he could get a good grasp of their abilities.
Suddenly, the Revolutionary Army soldiers who were supposed to be heading towards the Bondolas suddenly collapsed. None of them couldn't even afford to stand against the outburst of Conqurer's Haki that took the atmosphere by storm.
Dragon's eyes narrowed as he stared at Saint-Mars, who was the source of the sudden influx of Conqurer's Haki.
'This is going to be harder than I anticipated,' Dragon remarked.
"Hm, that leaves only you...I wonder what we should do-" Saint Mars was about to remark when he and Saint Ju Peter suddenly froze before looking into the distance.
A small light shined from the top of the Red Line, but it wasn't the light that was concerning them.
"Impossible! That's just not possible!!" Saint Ju Peter shouted as cold sweat ran down his forehead.
"Relax, Ju Peter! He might have lost his connection with us. We need to continue with our side of the plan!" Saint Mars remarked as he turned to face Dragon.
A small bead of sweat was running down Mars' forehead, something that Dragon didn't miss. Moreover, they seemed to be quite in a shocked state. Dragon wasted no time taking advantage of this.
Ju Peter's eyes narrowed slightly as he leaned backward to dodge something. Dragon suddenly appeared right in front of Marcus Mars, attempting to knock him right in the gut while they were momentarily disoriented. However, Mars raised his hand and caught the punch before it landed on his stomach.
"Don't think you can catch us unawares so easily!" Mars grabbed Dragon before he flung him across the village.
However, Dragon never touched the ground. Instead, he reappeared right behind Ju Peter before swiping his arms horizontally. Ju Peter immediately responded by absorbing Dragon's attack by swallowing it with the mouth that had spawned in his abdomen.
Mars immediately appeared and shot a pillar of fire right at Dragon, who rolled to the side almost immediately. However, the remnants of the fire pillar managed to char some of Dragon's cloak.
"Give up, although we don't have a thorough analysis of your abilities. We are already beginning to have a basic analysis of your abilities," Saint Ju Peter remarked.
However, before he could continue with his dialogue, he froze and stared into space for a bit before veins appeared on his forehead. Marcus Mars also had the same expression as him.
"To think that it was actually possible...." Marcus Mars remarked.
"We need to eliminate him immediately; there's no other way," Saint Ju Peter growled.
Saint Marcus Mars turned back to Dragon.
"What about him? What should we do?" Mars asked.
"We'll just destroy the Bondolas while we leave, his troops are already out for the count. He won't have any leverage to perform any extensive damage. Besides, even if he did, the Commander-In-Chief can keep him company while we finish off the Storm Dragon," Saint Ju Peter remarked.
With that, they immediately disappeared from the battlefield. Dragon had barely managed to read their movements, but in the distance, he could sense that the Bondolas he had been gunning for were destroyed.
Dragon could only sigh and look at the rest of the army, who were all still unconscious from the Conqurer's Haki that they got hit with earlier.
Dragon walked towards a soldier who was slowly beginning to stir from his slumber before lightly slapping him on the cheek. The soldier eventually woke up and stared, shocked at the stoic Dragon.
"I need your assistance. Do you think you're up to it?" Dragon asked softly.
"Y-Yes, Sir!" The soldier replied before saluting.
"Good, then I need you to wake the other soldiers up. I can't take you all up to Mariejois as planned, so I'll have to go by myself," Dragon replied. "Make sure that the ships are ready for immediate evacuation, and if Marine reinforcements make their way here. Delay them as much as possible."
With that, he disappeared from the area before he reappeared in front of the destroyed Bondolas. His eyes looked around in a calculative manner.
"It seems that I really will have to go up there by myself," Dragon muttered.
Pangea Castle
Within the safe walls of Pangea Castle, chaos reigned as incomprehensible amounts of Haki danced around within the castle. This Haki was so baleful and chaotic that it didn't matter how proficient you were in the use of Haki or how strong their willpower was; the Haki would have knocked them out the same way.
Within the Room of Authority, Warcury trembled uncontrollably as he tried to get a grip of himself. It had been more than seven hundred years since their Lord had been this enraged. Even then, when it didn't even compare to the amount of Conqurer's Haki that their Lord was emitting.
'I have to....appease him....at this rate....Pangea will fall!' Warcury thought determinedly as he struggled to get out of the Room of Authority.
Warcury didn't even have the luxury of asking the World Government agents for assistance because all the World Government Agents that normally operated within Pangea Castle were all dead. They were all instantly killed the moment that they made contact with the Lord's Conqurer's Haki: A testament to just how strong their Lord was.
As a matter of fact, the only thing that contained all of this Haki within the castle was the castle itself. However, this wouldn't last long if Warcury couldn't appease him in time.
I'll drop the other chapter later on today, so don't worry if you don't see it.
Let me know what y'all think!!!
Love y'all!!!!!!
