The man thrust his spear at me.
I easily sidestepped to avoid the attack, but that wasn't all that the man seemed to have in mind. The electricity seemed to have boosted his thought process more than the average human normally could. I could tell because I would see his eyes move inhumanly as he continued to process and analyze my moveset after every attack.
Moreover, thanks to his lightning like nature, his attacks were more quicker and smoother as he transitioned his attacks. Almost putting me to a defensive manner, but it would have taken more than that to push me to such lengths.
I kept dodging and deflecting his attacks as he tried to keep me at a distance. The greatest disadvantage of spear wielders was the fact that they sucked at close quarters combat. So, it was just natural that he wanted me to maintain a distance as he tried to cut me down.
All the while, he had been sending tendrils of lightning in attempt to shock me to leave me an oppening. It was smart for someone with his abilities, but one thing he seemed to actively ignore was the fact that I also had powers of lightning as well. I had been using my barehands to fight him so far, and it didn't seem like I would need to use Labrys anytime soon.
Spreading my Observation to the battlefield, I sensed that the Birkan army were being pushed back thanks to the help of Stussy, Ken and the rest of the crew. Pato seemed to have been watching in the sidelines, but every once in a while, I would see him draw a clone with his tail and send it to help Stussy out. It was adorable, but that would be something that Pato and Stussy would never come to know.
"You dare ignore me?! A God?!" The leader yelled as he swung the tip of his spear malicously at me.
I simply leaned over backwards to dodge the attack, and as I performed a backflip using my hands, I used the soled of my feet to deflect the stem of the spear upwards; knocking the leader's stance a bit off balance before I landed to my feet.
"It's not like I want to, you just don't present that much of a threat for me to consider you a danger," I replied casually.
"I hope that your kind aren't as arrogant as you," the man responded disgusted as he drew back his spear.
"You'd be surprised, there are many people down there who are more arrogant than I'll ever hope to be."
"It's a shame that you won't be able to meet them, as you will be dying here," The man replied as he twirled his spear before aiming it at the sky.
"I could say the same for you, I need that ability of yours for my crew."
"To covet the powers of an Almighty, if this isn't blasphemy at its finest, I don't know what is;" The man shook his head sadly as another huge storm formed above us.
"You're not 'Almighty' you just ate a very destructive Logia devil fruit," I replied, dispersing the storm that he attempted to form.
"Wha-?! Ho-?!"
He couldn't even finish his exclaimations because I immediately appeared in front of him and socked him in the jaw with a fistful of haki. I could see his eyes roll up as I sent him flying across the battle field. Going through some of his men, but my men somehow managed to see him coming, so they managed to dodge right before he could make contact with them.
I kicked the ground, and immediately began following the man, but he didn't seem to be unconcious for too long. His eyes blinked wide open as he turned himself to lightning and took to the skies. I summoned my wings and flew after him, weary of the fact of how troubling it would be if I were to let him make contact with some clouds.
However, something even more annoying came up.
"My obedient followers! Protect me as I summon the wrath of the heavens to punish these blasphemers!!!"
At first, I thought that he was talking to the army, but my Observation haki immediately began to pick up four rather formidable presences making their way towards me. In an instant, the four of them immediately appeared in front of me, and tried to slamm numerous dials on my chest.
Of course, before they even had the oppurtunity to do so, I used Soru to disappear from the point of impact and reappear right behind them. Then, systematically, I chopped at their necks and knocked them out before promptly resuming my pursuit.
I had to use Soru multiple times so that I could regain the lost ground that I had between the two of us, but even that wasn't enough for me to catch this guy.
He immediately merged with a stray cloud that happened to be floating nearby, and soon, the sky began to darken as more and more clouds began to emerge from the sky.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!" A large deep voice emerged from the sky, "YOU HAVE DEFIED THE WILL OF THE ALMIGHTY FOR THE LAST TIME BLASPHEMER!! PREPARE FOR YOUR DESTINED DEATH BY THE HANDS OF THE HEAVENS!!!"
With that I slowly began to sense a gigantic presence formulating itself within the clouds. Slowly, a large blue humanoid slowly began to emerge outside of the clouds protection. It was huge, almost twice the size of my own whenever I turned into a dragon. In an instant, I began to feel a significant pressure land on me, it was Conqurer's haki.
Looking at the crowd behind me, the majority of the Birkan army were knocked out, but my crew had somehow managed to remain standing. Although they seemed to be following suit one by one.
"This is ridiculous," Stussy muttered increduously
"How the hell are we supposed to beat that thing?!" Pato exclaimed while his jaw dropped at the sight of it.
The blue humanoid slowly began to take the shape of the supposed 'God of Birka', however, he had somehow managed to change his initial appearance to be one that was even more intimidating than before.
The humanoid had coated itself in majestic blue armor, with hard blue ice somehow covering the center. His face remained the same, but he now had a helmet with tendrils of large lightning protruding from the crown of his helmet. His figure looked even more muscular, and the only thing that he was missing was a lower body.
However, the lower body was replaced by stratocumulus clouds that had gathered beneath him. It kind of reminded me of Poseidon from 'God Of War 3', but I was getting out of topic.
The amount of lightning that I sensed from him was simply absurd, and the more annoying thing about him was the fact that I couldn't seem to disperse the storm like I normally did no matter how many times I tried. It was almost as if the lightning that he had formed was all by the force of nature, and nothing about it was abnormal for the most part.
"DO YOU SEE IT?" The man asked, "THIS IS THE TRUE POWER OF AN ALMIGHTY!!!! BOW BEFORE ME!!!"
For the first time in a while, I removed Labrys from my back and twirled it casually as I continued to stare deeply at the humanoid.
"What is an almighty to the inevitable?"
