False Urgency

[ Third Person POV ]

Hades

" "HA!" "

Sand and lightning collided as Ken and Crocodile threw their respective elements at each other. Glass immediately formed upon contact, soon landing on the floor.

Crocodile swiftly turned into sand before appearing behind Ken. Ken's eyes glowed with a red hue as he immediately dodged crocodile's sandblade by ducking and striking the crocodile square in the chest. However, something was different this time.

Crocodile was sent back, slamming into a railing as he puked a mouthful of blood.

"What the...?" Crocodile's face was aghast as he looked at the blood that he had just previously puked out.

"What, surprised?" Ken teased, lightning dancing about his fingers, "You didn't think this was the extent of my abilities, did you?"

Ken recently learned how to infuse haki with his lightning. It wasn't to the extent where he could do that all the time; he needed significant concentration to successfully fuse his haki and lightning without backlash. Hence, as the fight continued, he slowly started charging an attack with lightning as he kept fighting Crocodile.

Ken didn't just stop there, seeing that Crocodile looked like he was down for the count. He immediately raised his hand and created a lightning spear as he slowly arched his arm back and got ready for the finishing blow.

Crocodile looked up, and Ken sent a lightning spear right at him before he could even react.

A brief explosion set in where Ken and Crocodile had been. Stussy simply looked on using Observation Haki, if someone were to look at her expression, it would have been easy to make a conclusion of the aftermath.

Ken emerged from the smoke while dragging the unconscious Crocodile lazily; that last move took a bit out of him.

"Is he dead?" Stussy asked curiously.

"No, the bastard managed to elementize his torso before the lightning could hit. He's knocked out for the moment," Ken replied.

"That's great, but what should we do with him?" Stussy wondered, "I'll just let Boris decide whenever he gets here; how far are we from Loguetown?"

Kane, one of the navigators of the crew, walked up next to Stussy.

"We should be about a day out; probably let him know before we arrive."

"Also, keep an eye out for the Marines. Knowing them, they might still be lurking about near the island," Stussy responded.

"Got it."

Kane immediately returned to the new navigation station to meet up with Brok. Meanwhile, Ken had Crocodile tied up and sent him towards the small holding cell under the ship.

"Thank goodness Tom managed to make some seastone cuffs for us. It would've been frustrating if we hadn't," Pato noted.

A few days after Crocodile's defeat, Stussy determined that it was time to give Boris a call. They had reached the town, but now were looking for a good spot to dock their ship for a while.

Stussy got on her transponder snail and immediately dialed up Boris' number. It rang for a while before he picked up.

"What is it?"

"We're just docking in Loguetown; where are you?" Stussy asked.

"I'm not there yet, but I'm going to start heading out right now," Boris replied.

Suddenly, the entire ship began to shake.

Stussy hung up the call and began racing toward the source of the commotion.

"What's going on?" Stussy asked.

Stussy had just left the cabin and returned to the deck. Only to find the ship being surrounded by multiple Marine Ships.

"Shit, didn't I tell Kane to keep an eye out for Marine ships?" Stussy cussed.

"It doesn't look like anyone important is leading the ships. The strongest one in there looks like a Rear-Admiral," Carla responded.

"It doesn't matter if there are any higher-ups nearby; you better believe that they'll be on their way here," Stussy rebutted as she spread her Observation Haki to its fullest extent.

She covered most of the town and island with her Observation Haki to ensure there weren't any reinforcements nearby.

"Surrender now! Vice-Admiral Garp is coming back here to take you all to Impel Down. We'll gladly risk our lives to ensure you're caught, Whitebeard Pirates!!" The Rear-Admiral roared as he readied the troops to fire their cannons.

"Get the cannons ready; we'll blast ourselves out of here. I'll send Boris our location later when we're out of Marine sight," Stussy ordered. If what the Rear-Admiral said was true, an immediate evacuation was required.

The crew immediately began manning the countless cannons that were littered across Hades.

"Ready.....FIRE!!" The Rear-Admiral roared as countless cannons immediately shot at Hades.

"I'll handle the cannons," Ken remarked as he lunged at the incoming cannon fire. Lightning danced along his body as he began destroying the cannonballs.

"Fire!" Stussy ordered the crew. The return fire wasn't as many as the Marines, but the results were ten times more devastating.

Marine ships would sink upon getting hit by Hade's cannon fire. Immediately laying waste to the Marine forces that had surrounded the 0 Division.

"How far is Boris from here for us to be leaving so soon? Can't we wait for him?" Pato asked.

Stussy pondered for a while before getting her transponder snail out again.

"What is it this time?" Boris asked; wind could be heard in Boris' background. Indicating that he was in the sky.

"How far are you from Loguetown? Garp is on his way here for us; I don't want to take any chances," Stussy asked.

"I'm not too far. Just dock the ship somewhere subtle and wait till I get there," Boris instructed.

"Alright," Stussy responded.

She hung up the call and relayed Boris' instructions to the crew. However, one more problem remained before they could execute it. They kept blasting down Marine ships until they couldn't see any more Marine Ships

The Rear-Admiral leaped from what remained of his ship, wielding a huge saber.

"I won't let you bastards get away!!!"

Stussy immediately used Soru before appearing behind the Rear-Admiral. The Rear-Admiral froze before his head fell off his neck. Death came instantly, and the poor Rear-Admiral didn't even have the time to acknowledge what had just happened.

Stussy landed on the deck of Hades before looking at the rest of the crew.

"We don't have time to mess around like we normally do; move the ship to the back of the island before Garp arrives," Stussy immediately ordered while wiping her hand clean from his blood.

"Do you think Garp is going to arrive in time?" Pato asked Stussy nervously.

"What are you so fearful of, Pato? Do you realize that we're pirates? " Ken asked.

"Even if Garp arrives, he'll have to deal with Boris," Stussy assured the Racoon-Dog.

By now, the ship was already beginning to circle around the island. Kane and Brok were on watch duty as they looked for any incoming Marine ships.

Meanwhile, the rest of the crew had been split in two. Half were responsible for getting the ship around the island, while the other half manned the cannons. They were on high alert until Boris arrived.

===============================================================

Meanwhile, on Garp's ship. Sounds of yelling and arguing could be heard within Garp's cabin.

"Garp!!! You must respond!! Are you really going to leave that Marine Base unattended?!" Admiral Sengoku roared angrily.

"I just got into my vacation; why must I work overtime?" Garp argued while picking his nose.

"This is an order from the World Government! How're you going to ignore it?!" Sengoku roared.

"Simple, like this," Garp hung up the call as soon as he finished talking.

Though it was an order from the World Government, what they were asking of Garp was crossing his Moral lines. It was the same reason he didn't fight Boris the first time they met in Loguetown.

Risking the lives of innocent civilians was something that he wouldn't tolerate, no matter what.

Alright, I believe it's time to start another arc...

Also, I'm surprised at how some readers underestimate some of the characters in One Piece before the time skip.

Let me know what y'all think!!!

I love y'all, though !!!!!
