This entire incident had taken a lot out of me.
After I devoured the CP0 agents, which I only did because I was famished, I had slowly started to realize the injuries that those marines had done to me. It didn't help that I hadn't eaten ever since I left Ulvehoved to get to the Island to defend the island.
Zephyr was almost giving me a run for my money as much as I was giving it to him. Our fight had left me almost as injured as he was, it also wasn't helping that some of his attacks left a mess of my insides. It took quite a bit of time for me to regenerate them and get the blood flowing like it normally is supposed to.
Anyway, it was something that would heal overtime. What I needed to focus on was what more possible attacks that the island could have faced after this. The Marines were known for their relentless pursuit over their targets. I couldn't shake the feeling that they would send more reinforcements to complete the operation.
That would not do, I briefly told the village elder to tell his merchants not to come over the island for a bit. I didn't want to mistake them for marines and accidentally sink their ships. The village elder complied and wasted no time going back to his home to make a few phone calls.
As for me, I started my way to the shore of where I had first spotted the Marines. I concluded that this was probably the direction to Marineford, and that they would probably emerge from that direction.
The six World Nobles and the three CP0 agents provided enough sustainance to keep me going for another couple of days. Speaking of which, I made an oath to myself not to eat humans again. I'm sure that it was a little bit of Ghidora's instincts showing themselves during that time, but I didn't want to gradually like cannibalism as a lifestyle.
I sank my axe right next to my side and lied down. I conjured a mildly severe sea storm around the island so I could give intruders a hard time when they approached the island. I put my hands on the back of my head and closed my eyes before sleeping.
My mind demanded that I take some time to rest, and it seemed that my body was complying with the order as well. I blacked out as soon as I had closed my eyes.
I didn't remember how long I had been sleeping, but what I know had caused me to wake up was the image of Stussy pushing my body back and forth while looking at me. I had left her on the island before I left for Falke, and to be honest, I thought that she would have been mad at me for doing so.
She looked anything but mad, I slowly got up to a sitting position before she gave me a nice warm hug. She looked more relieved and happy than she was upset with me, I could only return the favor and embrace the warmth of her arms.
We stayed like that for quite sometime before the rest of the 0 division appeared with the Village leader. Speaking of which, the old man seemed to be doing much better than I last left him. I assumed he was running on adrenaline when the World Nobles had docked within the island, and continued to do so until the end of the conflict.
I greeted my crew, and they greeted me back relieved. I remained seated as Stussy began to drone over me while looking for injuries.
"You don't seem as injured as I had thought you to be, that's good!" Stussy remarked happily. Everyone else hummed happily in agreement as they looked at me as well.
"Did you eat?" Stussy inquired, the village head was about to make a remark about that when I glared at him.
The last thing I was going to let Stussy know was that I ate people, at least for now. I quickly looked back at Stussy before replying.
"Actually, I am feeling a bit hungry now that you mentioned it." Stussy wasted no time promptly getting me on my feet and dragging me back to the village.
"We will prepare a celebratory feast just for you all!" The village leader remarked as he sped in front of us on the way to the village. It seemed that he was still nervous over that little stink eye I had sent him. As long as it kept his mouth shut, I wouldn't say anything.
My transponder snail that was in Stussy's hands suddenly began to ring. Stussy promptly picked it up before the snail morphed its face to that of a man with a upward crescent white mustache: Whitebeard.
"Stussy, did you find Boris? I need to talk to him." Whitebeard inquired.
"I did, matter of fact, he's right next to me" Stussy responded happily. She promptly gave the transponder snail to me before Whitebeard greeted me.
"How've you been, brat? I heard you won the conflict over there!" Whitebeard asked.
I promptly replied, "I'm doing as well as could be, the conflict has left me tired."
To that statement, Whitebeard laughed. Back when I used to sail with him in Rocks' crew, I used to be notorious for always sleeping within the ship.
"You haven't changed a bit!! Now, what do you want to do with the marines?" Whitebeard asked. I had initially thought that he had already retaliated at the Marines for trying to sink Falke Island. I could only assume that he didn't want to have unnecessary deaths among the crewmates, they were his children after all.
"Nothing, they haven't sent another Buster Call at this place. Meaning that they probably don't want to escalate this confrontation any further. It's better not to push their buttons at this moment." I replied, this was the only logical move I could think of.
The Five Elders Modius Operandi was mostly focused on retaining balance within the world. If something were to upset the said balance, the Five Elders would waste no time in trying to remove the chaotic variable from the world. A great example would be Rocks, and soon Roger.
They had already seen the results of the clashing between the Marines and I, and judging from the World Economy News ship that was floating nearby. I can only assume that the news of our clash had spread all across the world. Garnering attention, and setting more pressure on the World Government.
It was better for them to quell the noise that their decisions they had made, rather than we continue with this momentum and cause a war with the World Government. It would save us from having to cause unnecessary bloodshed.
"Good! I was just thinking the same thing, I don't want my sons to die for no reason." Whitebeard agreed.
"Where do you plan from here? We aren't closeby to pay you a visit. So there is no need for you to find us." Whitebeard asked me.
To be frank, I didn't want to get sailing yet. I was still feeling bits of fatigue from the conflict, I planned to rest a little bit more before I get sailing once more.
"I'll rest for a bit before resuming my patrol, is there anywhere you want me to visit?" I responded.
"No, not at the moment. I'll let you know if there is, but until then, get some rest. You did good, son." Whitebeard promptly stated before hanging up. Sighing, I found a barrel nearby and sat on it. I needed more rest.

I feel like I should address this before someone asks again.
I am not putting ALL of Ghidorah's abilities within the novel.
There are some parts that I just don't want to use, and others that just straight up affect the canon.
I know I haven't been following the canon, that was my mistake.
I simply wrote this novel on a whim that I had at the moment.
Let me know what y'all think!!!
Love y'all!!!!
