0014 - Dungeon Part 5

[A/N: No worries, Dungeon Ark will end soon in a couple chapters]

Once I caught my breath and regenerated my MP and HP back to full, I began my hunt.

With the Lizardmen mainly spread out searching for me, I had to resort to stealth and guerrilla tactics if I wanted to clear out this floor. Luckily for me, I had lots of pillars and cover at my disposal.

Using almost everything at my disposal, I began picking them off one at a time.

Sometimes I would distract them with a noise I caused by throwing a stone before sneaking up behind them and slitting their throats with my stone dagger. Other times, I picked them off from afar behind cover with my bow before moving to a new spot.

I repeated this many times until I effectively cut the remaining number of Lizardmen in half.

But my stamina also no longer regenerated past 180 points, meaning I would have to finish the floor quickly so I could get some rest and recuperate from fighting in the dungeon for so long.

Which, with the intelligence and weakness of the Lizardmen, was an easy feat.

It took me around an hour and a half to completely wipe out the floor of Lizardmen.

And my hard work was rewarded with no level up.

However, I did find the portal to the next floor after I finished off the last of the Lizardmen.

[Congratulations! You have obtained: Mighty Wooden Club and Small Low-Grade Mana Stone]

Not caring about the Club, I instead gazed over the Mana Stone.

[Mana: 0/25]

Oh? Is it basically a mana storage item?

And it can even store almost a third of my current mana capacity!

Although, If it's described as Low-Grade, and small, how much mana can larger, and better Mana Stones carry?

Leaving that for thought, I decided to finally exit the dungeon and extract the key back into the system, closing the portal to the dungeon behind me.

Before getting some rest for the night, I made sure to set up a couple of tripwires attached to logs that would fall upon large piles of sticks to alert me of any incoming threat.

I didn't want to be suddenly ambushed like last night by more Na'vi.

Speaking of the Na'vi, I killed before burying them, I made sure to grab their bow and skull.

Now, it may sound somewhat monstrous and disgusting that I took the Na'vi's skull, but it would be my first 'trophy,' and the Yautja value their trophies.

The skull would also be a proof of strength, so it would be helpful to have if I wanted to get into the good graces of the Clan Leader and my trainer.

Of course, I cleaned and removed everything inside and on the skull before washing it with some river water and tying the skull to my waist.

That night I had the best sleep in days.

I did some stretches, ate some food, and checked my traps across the forest and river in the morning.

I managed to catch a bird with one of my traps in the forest and two fish in my fishing net in the river.

Leaving the fish in a small pond I made with mud clay bricks, and river water, I killed the bird and decided to test something out.

'Raise Undead.'

A cloud of green drifted out from my clawed right hand and into the carcass of the dead bird.

[Congratulations! You have raised a Level 1 Undead Ly'hmie(Lie He-Me) Bird(Zombie)!]

Oh? So the bird's species is called Ly'hmie?

Checking my status, I found that raising it into an undead cost me 15 MP!

It's a small bird, and it still cost me so much?!

I don't even want to imagine raising larger things into the undead!

It would suck me dry!

[A/N: I know for a fact that some of you thought of something lewd upon reading the sentence above! Don't have me send the Bonk Dog on you!]

Doing some tests, I found out a few perks of having undead.

For one, they were connected to me, meaning I could command them mentally, see what they saw, hear what they heard, and that kind of thing.

For example, if I sent this undead bird out to scout, I would be able to see everything it sees, making it a living camera that could scout out ahead.

Other than that, I could also view the undead's status!

\======================/

Although just like my own status, I have very little clue what all its skills do and what its Perks do.

Something I did notice, however, was that its stamina was infinite!

Then I remembered a classic line from a novel that originated from long ago that I found and read by a stroke of luck.

"Never Hunger, Never Tire, Never Fear."

[A/N: Yep]

A line that accurately describes the undead and their racial strengths.

If I could even remotely level my undead to the undead's strength in that novel, then I would have few things to fear in this life.

Although that method of strength would make me focus on my undead instead of my own strength, which I was somewhat against.

As I was thinking of the pros and cons of using undead, I had a sudden thought, can my undead enter the dungeon?

I hope you enjoy and if you have any ideas, suggestions, and thought, feel free to comment!

I accept constructive positive criticism, so please, if you find something wrong with my novel(s) just let me know so I can fix and learn not to make the same mistake in the future and better myself and my work!
