0015 - Dungeon Part 6

[A/N: On the current chapters I am working on, which are 4 chapters ahead, I am increasing the size of the chapters, from a couple of hundred words to a thousand+]

Deciding to test my hypothesis in an hour or so, I wanted first to attempt to fill the Mana Stone with my mana, but I quickly came across a problem I did not think of.

I don't know how to manipulate my mana...

When it comes to using my skills, the System does most of the work, meaning I had no idea how to use my skills without the help of the System.

Wishing to rectify this, I entered Meditation and began looking within.

Through the use of Meditation and my senses, I found...nothing, well, nothing but warmth.

Although I first thought the warmth was simply the warmth my body gave off, very quickly did I find that this warmth was different. While I did feel the warmth of my body, this one felt strange but also familiar.

The strange thing is, when I fully focused on this warmth that was spread across my entire body, it would move where I willed it!

[Congratulations! Mana Manipulation has been obtained!]

[Mana Manipulation has been set to Level 1!]

With the appearance of the new skill, I suddenly found that the movement of my mana was much easier to do with my will but still quite complex and slow.

Trying to push the mana out from my body was met with resistance at my skin.

From my observation, I found that the mana was too condensed to be able to leave my body, meaning my control and manipulation was too weak for me even to make the mana leave my body.

Deciding to spend a bit of time tomorrow to train and level the skill, I had the Undead Ly'hmie land on my shoulder and opened the portal to the dungeon inside my home.

Clicking on the fourth floor and stepping through with the bird, I was happy to see that the bird did come through with me, meaning I could bring my undead into the dungeon, although I had no idea if there was a number limit.

I also noticed I was a few kills away from having the necessary amount of points to purchase Status Examination from the shop.

The difference with this floor that I noticed was that it seemed to be an ample open space once again, but there was a significant difference.

I could see plant life everywhere and multiple holes in the cave's roof where light flooded in!

I even saw what looked like a waterfall in the distance that delivered water into the cave.

With a single command, the Ly'hmie flew off my shoulder and towards the cave ceiling to get a bird's eye view of the whole floor.

I even tried having the bird fly out of the floor through one of the openings in the ceiling, but it was met with a barrier, which I expected.

Through the Ly'hmie's eyes, I could see the whole floor, and to my surprise, I could see camps scattered all across the forest where Lizardmen huddled around the fires, eating and going on about their daily lives.

Using the Ly'hmie, I searched for the nearest camps and their numbers.

While they still wore the most basic of clothes, I found that they were slightly bigger, their scales more pronounced in color and shape, and some even wielded stone clubs instead of the usual wooden.

Although few wielded the stone clubs, most still used the same heavy and ineffective wooden clubs.

I did note that every Lizardmen camp had specific colorations to their scales.

Those of the same colored scales seemed to work together, while those colored differently seemed to fight.

From what I could see, there were five different color factions.

Black, Blue, Green, Red, and White.

It was almost like the color represented the personality of the Lizardmen, and I also noticed that each of the factions was evil, greedy, and predatory, with the factions following the 'Strong rules the weak' philosophy.

It was strange, to be honest, but I was not going to put further thought into it. Who knows, perhaps these Lizardmen will give new drop loot?

The closest Lizardman camp to me at the current time was a Blue Lizardman camp.

Stalking them from the thick limbs of some trees, I observed them for a few minutes.

The camp's leader was a Blue Lizardman standing at 6 feet tall and appeared to have a warrior's physique.

Of course, he still wore nothing but a simple loincloth and wielded a stone club instead of the usual wooden.

Arching an arrow with the bow I took from the Na'vi, I felt difficulty drawing the bow in full with my current strength, finding that I had to use all of my strength to pull the string. I tried to steady the bow before letting loose a long arrow towards the camp's leader, striking it in the back.

[You have slain a Blue Tribal Warrior Lizardman Lvl 18!]

[A/N: Class Rarity Lvl = Common(1.5) * Level * 2 + Base[Blue Lizardman = 40]]

[A/N: Or, 1.5 x 18 x 2 + 40 = 94 Points]

[+47(94) System Points]

With that one kill, I reached the required amount to purchase the Status Examination feature from the System, but first, I needed to deal with the rest of this camp.

Having the Ly'hmie watch over me from above, I slung the bow onto my back and leaped off the tree and into the camp with my stone spear in my right hand and a mana bolt in my left at the ready.

"Come at me, you overgrown blue lizards!"
