Journey through the kingdom

1 Week later...

Ash completed 1 more quest in the week. The quest had 200000 gold gold as reward.

He was getting bored and tired of the routine. He decided to go on a journey throughout the kingdom to get a clarity of "What to do?" and "How to do it?"

He went to his mother and said "Mother, can I have a moment?"

Jasmine looked at him and ask "What do you need?"

"In 2 days I will be travelling this kingdom. I just want experience new things and develop myself" said Ash.

Jasmine felt conflicted on hearing this as Ash is her only son and if anything happens to him, she can never forgive herself.

"No" said Jasmine.

"Why?" asked Ash.

"I can't bear the thought of losing you, Ash" said Jasmine.

Ash understood her concerns. They came out of a hellhole and she is recovering from the mental torture those wives have inflicted on her.

"Mother, please sit on the bed"

Jasmine sat on the bed with a worried look on her face.

"Listen to me, mother. You need not worry that something might happen to me because there is a divine entity protecting me. In times of danger that divine entity will intervene and save me because there is a purpose I must fulfill" said Ash.

Jasmine heard that words and was shocked. Her son has the help of a divine entity. It is not easy to digest those words. She was practically silent for 5 minutes.

Even Ash let her digest this information, so he kept quiet. "I knew you were not an ordinary child Ash. The way you solved all the problems for us and the people cannot be done by ordinary people. I understand now that something is guiding you along the way. Since it is a divine will I will accept your desire to go on a journey, but you must keep writing letters to me without fail."

Ash took out two round orbs from the bag, which he made. Jasmine was surprised by the unknown orb.

He gave one orb to Jasmine and said "When I go outside and say "Start" press the button on the bottom". Jasmine nodded and kept the orb.

When Ash went outside and said "Start", Jasmine pressed the button. The smoke inside the orb kept swirling and Ash's face appeared.

"Hello Mother" said Ash. Jasmine was surprised on seeing his face.

"How?"

"This is a waves crystal, which sends waves to long distances. The technical aspects are tough to explain, but we can communicate from very long distances."

"You are a genius Ash. Now I can talk with you even without letters. Maybe, but don't stop the habit of writing because if my crystal gets destroyed or something we can only communicate through letters" said Ash.

"Okay, I understand" said Ash. I have made these crystals for the baroness, Quinn and Rose. While ours is only two way communication, their crystals can communicate to anyone."

"Oh" said Jasmine. "I am going to inform the Baroness and go away without Quinn and Rose knowing because they will definitely follow me if they know what I am going to do".

"A clever choice Ash. I do not want to see the bad side of the baroness because her grandchildren are hurt" said Jasmine.

Ash went to the mansion and asked to meet baroness. He got permission to enter after 10 minutes.

"Good day, Madam" said Ash. "Nice to see you again Ash" said Baroness.

"The new dish of Ultra star restaurant has caused waves in the barony. People in the barony and outside the barony have started flocking to taste the dish.

"I came to know that you and the Vixen girl are the ones to come up with this dish. Is it true?"

"Yes" replied Ash.

"Whenever you do something it has completely helped the Barony and its people. The tax collected from the people and the quality of life in the barony has improved. As the lord of this Barony I wholeheartedly appreciate it" said the baroness.

"There is no need for that, Madam. You have given us a place to live and the things I have done is nothing compared to what you have done for us" said Ash bowing to Amanda.

"Okay, lets forget it. So, what are you here for, Ash?"

"I will be going on a journey throughout the kingdom to expand my horizons. I am informing you this because I do not want those two to follow me because there are many eyes on me. If they come with me, they will also become targets" said Ash.

"I am going to present this" said Ash taking out the orb and showed her how it works.

"Here comes another astonishing thing from you. A long distance communication device."

"I am only giving this to you, Quinn and Rose. Please give it to them after I leave"

"The orb I have given you can contact anyone as long as the other party has the orb".

"I see".

"Here are two of them for Quinn and Rose. Please give it to them as soon as I leave in 2 days."

Ash took out two books which contains the details of two way communication device and other one and gave it to her.

"These are the details on how the device can be prepared. Please keep it a secret that I was the one who created these since I am going on a journey".

"I will. I am going to ask the craftsman related the barony to prepare these devices."

"Thank you. I am going to take my leave."

"Farewell, since you are going to be leaving silently" said the baroness.

Ash waved his hand as goodbye and went back to his house.

He prepared the required rations, items for his journey.

After 2 days he silently left the barony without anyone knowing. He took a carriage and his next destination was Vixen county, where there is an adventurer guild.
