Make Them Pay

Logan came into the room and saw Ava crying, he quickly rush to her and tried to hold her face but was surprised when Ava refused his touch.

Logan was confused on why his wife was crying and he felt hurt that even after the intimacy they have shared, Ava couldn't find comfort in him at this moment.

"What's wrong? Why are you crying? and why are you not even allowing me to touch you?" Logan finally asked.

Ava looked at Logan with teary eyes and asked "Is Lia really your mate?"

Logan finally realized the reason for his wife and said "No, she isn't."

Ava felt relief at Logan answer but she still said "But she told me she is and I know she has no reason to lie to me."

Logan couldn't stand seeing Ava crying so he held the back of her head and kiss her.

When Logan kissed her, Ava struggle at first but after a few seconds of struggling she relaxed and whine a little when he ended the kiss.

Logan place his forehead on Ava and said "Lia is a witch, she did something to make me have a mate bond with her but my only mate is you and you are the only one I love."

Ava was shocked by his confession. She felt an excitement in her heart, she wanted to confirm if what he said was true so she asked "You love me?"

"Of course I love you Ava" Logan said with love and sincerity in his eyes.

"I..." Ava also wanted to tell him she loved him but for some reason while looking at him, those three words just couldn't leave her lips.

Logan put his fingers on Ava lips and said "Ssh..... You don't have to say it back. I will wait for you."

"What about Lia? Will you marry her?"

"Of course not. Ava, you will always be my only wife, never forget that. I will handle Lia, so don't worry about her." Logan said coldly.

"Logan remember I told you about my godmother, named Serefina."

"I remember"

"Serefina is actually Lia mother. Lia lied to me that she lost her memories while Serefina told me she didn't have any child" Ava said as her tears turned to anger of being lied to by the two people she trust.

"I have always done what Serefina told me to do. I even loved her more than my own mother, but what did she do? She lied to me and sent her daughter to destroy my marriage and not only that Lia also told me that Serefina wants the blood of my heart to become immortal."

"What?" Logan was shocked by Ava words. He already knew Serefina had an agenda for being close to his wife but what he didn't expect was that Serefina wanted the blood of Ava heart.

"Am I really that naive? I trust anyone who shows niceness to me and that's why they all lied to me." Ava said as tears rolled down her eyes.

"Ava, that is not true, you are not naive. You are beautiful and smart and they only took advantage of you because they are unable to see your worth. And you know what? We are going to make them pay. All those who betrayed you and have made you doubt yourself, we will make them pay and they will live the rest of their lives regretting they ever betrayed you." Logan said as he hug her and didn't stop her from crying anymore, he held her until she fell asleep in his arms.

After putting Ava to bed, Logan went to Lia room and saw her smiling as she brush her hair.

Hearing the door to her room opened, Lia looked up from her dressing table and saw Logan expressionless face. She walked closer to him was about to give him a kiss when Logan stopped her.

Lia face darken as she said "I have done everything you've asked, I told Ava the truth. I have fulfill my part of the deal, shouldn't you fulfill yours?"

Logan stared at her coldly and said "I said I would marry you but I never said you were allowed to touch me or even kiss me, the only one allowed to do those things is Ava."

Lia gave a creepy laugh and asked "So would you go back on your words?"

"No I won't, however Lia let me make one thing clear, let this be the last time you will ever try to put your filthy hands on me. I said I will marry and I will do it, however the thing you will get from me through this marriage is the position of Luna and that's all."

Lia face revealed a hurt expression, she immediately concealed it and said "It doesn't matter as long as you kick Ava out and I become the new Luna of the Crystal pack."

Logan looked at her with disgust and was about to leave when Lia suddenly held his hands and said "Logan you know I am the only one right for you. I don't get why everyone wants that woman. I will do anything for you as long as you promise to love me."

"Get your hands off me" Logan said coldly.

Lia shudder with fear and immediately let go but when she saw Logan living, she immediately said "The immortals will never allow a common human to be your wife even if you claim she is your mate." Lia revealed a smile when she saw Logan stopped and she quickly continue "I know people don't fear you just because of the rumors of being cruel and ruthless after all I have seen Alphas who are more cruel than you. They are afraid of you because....."

"I will watch my words if I were you. These days people get their tongue cut off for less." Logan said as he turned to look at her.

Looking at Logan, Lia knew he meant it he might actually cut off her tongue if she continues speaking. It was said that a wolf always bow his head to his Alpha authority. She may not be a wolf but she couldn't help but bowed down her head to Logan after looking at him for just five seconds and those five seconds has been the most terrifying seconds of her life.

Logan looked at Lia for only a second and left without sparing her another glance.
