"Are you alright my lady?" Hilda asked, she has noticed Ava gloominess and decided to speak up.

"I'm fine. Hilda what do you think about Lia" Ava asked.

"I don't really know, after all, I do not live in the main house."

Only the top leaders and a few warriors are allowed to live in the main pack house, but a house was built for all unmated women and for those who has lost their mate.

"Then do you know anything about Logan parents, because no matter how much I ask him he always avoids it."

At this moment both Hilda and Ava were in the kitchen preparing lunch for the women. Even though Hilda refused, Ava still insisted to help out in the kitchen.

Hearing Ava question, Hilda whispered quietly and said "I don't really know what happened to Alpha Damien but I heard that his marriage with Luna Diana fell apart because of a witch"

"A Witch? Do you know the name of that witch?"

"No, I don't but...."

"Hilda!"

Hilda was startled when she heard a stern voice calling her. Ava and Hilda turned to the entrance of the kitchen and saw a middle age woman standing there.

"Sara" Hilda whispered

"I came to check on you and to see if the Luna is having a hard time in the kitchen but I never expected to see you gossiping about your leaders"

Hilda lower her head and said "I'm sorry"

"There is no need for you to apologize" Ava said to Hilda, then turned to Sara and said "And there is no reason for you to scold her, Hilda did nothing wrong but answered my questions."

"I am sorry my lady but if the Alpha haven't told you anything about his parents then I don't think it is right for you to pressure us." Sara said with disdain.

"What is your problem with me anyway" Ava said. Ever since she has been visiting this side of the house Sara has always been against again and when she asked Hilda why, she said Sara became bitter ever since she lost her mate.

"You must be wrong my Luna, I do not have any problem with you"

"Then why are you so against me"

"It is because of you that our pack lost a good warrior."

"What?"

"Making her lose her left eye was enough but you also made her a rogue"

"I only did what needed to be done. Thea was a threat to me so I got rid of her."

"A threat? You know a lot of us still think that Thea would have been a better Luna than you."

"You better watch your mouth or I wouldn't mind giving you the same fate as Thea" Ava said with warning.

Just looking at Ava, Sara knew that she wasn't joking so she turned around and left the kitchen.

"Is that true? Do they all think that Thea would have been a better Luna?" Ava asked Hilda.

"No that isn't true. Thea is a strong warrior I agree but she doesn't have the feelings a Luna should have." Hilda replied

"What do you mean?" Ava asked.

"Thea has always been a proud woman, infact she refused to stay in this house, she has always thought she was better than us. If Thea was the Luna, she would never have come to this part of the land to check up on the women who has lost their mates, she would never have come to play with the children. To be honest what you did to Thea made me scared of you but ever since you started spending time with us I realized that you are actually a very nice person and not only me but all of us think so. I am saying this from my heart Ava, the Crystal Pack is very lucky to have you as their Luna."

"Thank you so much Hilda"

"You are welcome and about what truly happened to the former Alpha i think you should ask Alpha Logan about it."

"Yes, I will try again."

Ava entered the pack house and went into her room but she saw no one. 'Logan must have gone to the borders again, there have been a lot of rogue lately. I should check on Lia, perhaps I was too harsh on her. I wonder when it started but I tend to go crazy when it involves Logan'

Ava decided to check on Lia but when she was about to open the door she heard Lia voice saying "It worked mother, I'm now Logan second mate and very soon I will be the new Luna of the Crystal pack."

"I do not care if you will become the next Luna but remember, everything must go according to plan, I will not tolerate any mistakes." Ava held another voice, a voice she was familiar with.

"Yes mother."

"Mother" Ava whispered as she stood behind the door listening to Lia conversation.

Then, Ava opened the door and saw Lia holding a blue gem in her hands and she said with a confused look "You said you lost your memories. You told me you knew no one and yet I heard you say mother" Ava looked at the blue gem and said "You were speaking to your mother through that gem right. And what do mean by you becoming the next Luna"

Lia gave Ava a smile and said "Haven't Logan told you about the good news yet?"

"What news?"

"I am also his mate. I am Logan second mate."

"How is that possible, he only has one mate and that is me"

Lia looked at Ava and said mockingly "Mother has always told me that you were very intelligent and she has always compare me with you. To be honest I thought it would take some time for you to trust me but then princess Ava was so lonely that she quickly accepted me as a friend."

"Then everything has been a lie. I have one question though?"

"What is it?"Lia replied.

"Who is your mother?"

"You would be shocked to know that she is your beloved godmother, Serefina."

"That's not true, She does not have a daughter"

"You were so obsessed with seeking affection that you found comfort in a witch. To be honest before I became Logan mate I was so jealous of you but now I just feel pity for you." Lia walked up to Ava and said confidently "Your beloved godmother is actually waiting for the day of your true self to be awaken and then she will use the blood of your heart to become immortal. Did you really think that Serefina saving you was just a coincidence, you truly are a foolish princess. Logan and I now share a mate bond and very soon he will leave you and come to me. He doesn't truly love you, he is only using you to gain control over the Kingdom of Aldia."

"That is a lie" Ava said firmly.

"Then tell me something Ava, has Logan ever said that he love you. I know he hasn't told you but he said it to me before he left this morning."

"Do you really think I would believe you Lia, I told you not to mess with me, I warned you never to betray me. I will make you pay dearly for what you've done."

"I am a witch and you are just an ordinary human, how dare you threaten me?"

"I will show you and prove to you that I am more than that. Mark my words Lia, you will crawl on your knees and beg me to spare your life." Ava left Lia room feeling hurt and betrayed by not only Lia but by both Serefina and Logan. She ran into her room and locked the door, then she cried like never before.
