Chapter-94 "You are nice to me, Mayumi."

"If [Blanche] had succeeded, it would have resulted in a lot of criticism on Mayumi..." (Erik)

"...after all, she as the president should have known!...or so they would say." (Erik)

"...as my close friend, I wouldn't allow anyone to criticize her without any solid reason." (Erik)

Erik and Katsuto bid farewell to Major Kazama and exited the principal's room.

Both of them parted way as Katsuto's presence was required in the Club Management Room whereas Erik headed towards the Student Council Room.

On the way, Erik decided to take a look at the various missions he had completed; issued by the [Outer-God].

I observed the three missions I had completed over two years ago and started contemplating my options.

Hm...I already copied Minoru's eyes, now I also have [Kyouko's helper slot] and an [Eye of the Moon helper slot].

Katsuto is fully invested in making our plan a reality, I have already seen his resolve and know that nothing will shake him anymore.

Using an [Eye of the Moon helper slot] on him will be a total waste!

Very well then, I will use this reward as a last resort; on Mayumi!

I really hope that there is no need for that, I really do hope!

If it comes down to it...

If she doesn't understand my dream...

But I can't stop, no!...

I won't stop!

Not when I am so close to it!

Not when my dream of 'True Peace' is right in front of me!

If push comes to shove, I will force my dream onto her!

I am not willing to lose something I never had up until 2 years ago!

(Third POV)

Lost in thoughts, Erik never stopped moving.

He crossed the corridor, moving through the crowd of students chattering around him.

Even the loud noises created by the students; couldn't disrupt his thought process.

He continued to move until eventually, he reached his destination.

He twisted open the doorknob of the Student Council Room.

Lightly pushing the door, he entered...

...only to find no one, expect Mayumi inside the room.

"Where are the others?" (Erik)

He directly asked the question that had first appeared within his mind; after he entered the room.

"Mari is busy with Naotsugu."

"Su-chan is busy dealing with the paperwork concerning those students who were under [Evil-Eye Magic]."

"Hattori is helping clean the aftermath of hall attack."

"Miyuki and Tatsuya, both of them have excused themselves and taken a break for some time."

"Everyone is busy doing something, so other than us there is no one within the room."

Mayumi explained the reason behind everyone's absence while motioning Erik to close the door behind him...

...which he did!

She slowly stepped forward towards him and gently pulled his head onto her shoulder, using her other hand to gently rub his back.

Due to her short stature; when compared to her fiance. Mayumi had to stand on her toes to take a comfortable position.

"I heard what happened; Erika informed me about the sudden emergence of [The 7-Kings] and everything else." (Mayumi)

"You did what you had to do, you shouldn't blame yourself for trying to protect the students." (Mayumi)

She spoke in a gentle, soothing tone as she continued to caress her lover's back.

"Mayumi, I am alright." (Erik)

And he indeed was okay!

This wasn't the first time he had killed someone, neither will it be his last!

He had already come terms to with this reality.

"I am not blaming myself for killing the enemy, the only good enemy is a dead enemy." (Erik)

"I know that..." (Mayumi)

Mayumi continued with her actions as she gave a hum of approval.

"Still, I can tell what you are feeling, Erik." (Mayumi)

"I am well aware of your hate for the very act of killing!" (Mayumi)

"I know you absolutely despise such actions..." (Mayumi)

"...but you had to do what was necessary, so it's alright." (Mayumi)

Mayumi let go of Erik's head before placing her forehead onto her lover's.

She looked directly into his beautiful "chartreuse phosphorescent eyes"; within her own crimson eyes.

"You don't have to always be strong, it's okay to be venerable to those who you love." (Mayumi)

She let out a beautiful smile which managed to mesmerize the ever calm and cold, Erik!

Readers always forget a common fact!...

...something which is ignored by the authors too!

At the end of the day, the main characters are only humans, taking a life isn't the same as breathing.

Erik kills only when necessary, he isn't some mindless monster who kills for fun, no!

He kills for a reason and that reason is 'True Peace'!

He feels no guilt for his actions; since it is all for a better tomorrow.

A safe! tomorrow.

Erik looked deeply into Mayumi's crimson eyes.

No one could tell what he was thinking; not even the author!

He remained silent and just reciprocated Mayumi's hug; tightening his grasp around her.

"You are nice to me, Mayumi."

"Hm? Why wouldn't I be?..."

"...I love you, Erik."

"I know..."

"...I do too."
