CHAPTER 3 - The Awakening

"You... You sense us, you'll become one with us," a mysterious voice whispered, but Kaito, paranoid of these ominous voices, pretended not to hear. As he headed towards the stairs to his room, a loud thud echoed. Concerned, he rushed to the terrace.

There, he found an old man in a white-golden suit with long braided hair, teetering on the edge of death. Desperate to convey a message, the dying man, known as the Omniwatcher, spoke urgently. "Listen, kid, I don't have much time left," he coughed and bled. "I knew you could sense us, a feat supposed to be impossible for humans, but there's an entity feeding off this world's core energy. You must stop it with my powers."

Grasping Kaito's hand, the Omniwatcher chanted in an unknown language, channeling divine power into him. Overwhelmed, Kaito experienced visions of the universe's inner workings. When he awoke from a momentary blackout, he questioned if he was still falling, but fainted once more.

Now an Omniwatcher, Kaito stood tall, adorned in a long black cardigan, a white shirt, and wielding a dagger so sharp it could cut through mountains like jelly. Despite newfound strength, Kaito, who had never fought in his life, faced another vision of a fiery realm filled with screams and torture.

Examining his arm, Kaito discovered a futuristic wristband with a symbol. Touching it revealed a golden-white screen, displaying his stats, armor, and weapons. In a sudden attack by a Reaper, Kaito effortlessly dodged and struck with such force that a sonic boom split the sky, shaking the world. Covered in blue, slimey blood, he returned to find the old man's body gone.

Burning with newfound powers, Kaito vowed to use them to protect people from the unknown, steering clear of mundane human affairs. Eager to train and overcome the struggles ahead, he set forth on his newfound journey.
