Shadow POV

We were taken to a room and Clarke grabbed my shoulder. "You need to calm down Shadow," she tells me. "Me?" I repeated her words. "She caused us to kill everyone in that Mountain Clarke!" I shouted. "I'm not thrilled about it either but I don't want you to die," she tells me. For a long time, Clarke and I refuse to see Lexa. For a whole week, we ate, slept, and talked about home. I had explained that Bellamy and I were no longer together. That our mother has been working fiercely to bring her home. That was Until Lexa walked into the room "What part of we won't see you are unclear?" I hissed out. "I respected your wishes for a week, we've got bigger concerns," she tells us. "We...don't have any concerns at all" I reminded her. "Yes, we do" Lexa nodded, taking a step closer. "I'm hosting a summit with Skaikru at sundown. You'll both be returned to your people" Lexa tells us. "You went to all that trouble to capture us, just to let us go?" Clarke asked her. "I went through all that trouble to save the both of you," Lexa tells us. I scoffed "You know when we could've used saving?" I asked her. "When you abandoned us at Mount Weather" I hissed out. "Clearly, you two didn't need my help" Lexa reminded us. "Clearly..." I hissed out. "You're angry Shadow. But I know you" Lexa tells me. "What you two did, it haunts you. And it's easier to hate me than yourself" Lexa says. "Oh...I can do both" I tell her. "What would you two have done if their leader had offered you the deal?" Lexa asked us both. "Save your people at the price of mine. Would you really have chosen differently?" Lexa asked us. "I don't betray my friends" I hissed out. "But you did...." Lexa stated. "You had friends in Mount Weather" she reminded me. "Those deaths are on you too," I tell her. "The only difference is that you have no honor and we had no choice" I bluntly tell her. "It helps no one to dwell on the past and that's not why I am here" Lexa informed us. "You're right, I'm not just letting you go back to your people," She says. "I want something more," Lexa says. "I want your people to become my people," Lexa tells us. "I'm offering Skaikru people the chance to join my coalition, become the 13th clan," she says. "No one would dare move against you because that would be moving against me" Lexa explained. I shake my head "Just leave us alone" I tell her. "We're done. Do you understand that? I left" Clarke then tells her. "You can't run away from who you are" Lexa raised her voice. "Join me. Bow before me and your people will be safe" she instructed. "Bow before you?" Clarke asked. "You don't give a damn about our people. I know why you're here" I laughed. "We made you look weak at Mount Weather and now the Ice Nation is exploiting that" I explained. "If you want the power of wamplei and wanheda kill us. Take it" Clarke challenged her. "Otherwise go float yourself, because we will never bow to you" I hissed out before walking over to the large window.

Bellamy POV

Two weeks went by and all I could think about was Shadow. The Commander gave word to Indra about the summit and how the Commander wanted to make our people her people but I didn't believe it. Monty, Raven, Octavia, and my girlfriend, and I pulled up to Mount weather in the Rover. We all climbed out "I knew I should've taken my horse" Octavia groaned. I was all at the entrance to the bunker and all the feelings had come back. How even in the middle of war Shadow risked her life for mine, how she risked everything to save our people including shooting Dante. I remember her smile, how I never see much of it. How she spoke my name and it brought goosebumps to my skin, It still does. "Hey" I looked over my shoulder to see my girlfriend Gina approach me. I wished it had been Shadow, at least I know she was safe. "The summit delegation will be fine," She tells me. I shake my head "I should be there" I tell her. "Then you wouldn't be here with me" she arched her brow. I struggled with what to say next, trying not to hurt her feelings. "You make a good argument," I say. "Besides, as soon as your leg heals you'll be right back out there" She added. This makes me a little annoyed now "Yeah, my leg is fine" I scoffed. "Kane is trying to teach me a lesson, I got his daughter captured and now she's locked in the commander's tower...." I shake my head before I walked over and grabbed her bag and handed it to her before making my way over to the door. "Hey, you guys. Did I ever tell you how I saved Sinclair's ass on the Ark?" Raven asked, changing the subject. "Please don't" Octavia begged Raven. "You mean the time you went rogue in a spacewalk?" Gina asked Raven. "That depends on your definition of going rogue" Raven laughed. "Really?" Gina laughed. "Yeah, I just hopped on a robotic arm and aimed it at the solar ray" Raven explained as we entered into the bunker. "The whole time I was out there the control room thought I was just fixing a loose wire" Raven explained. "That is, in fact, the definition of going rogue" Gina stated. "You dangled yourself within inches of an electrified array that could have killed you," Gina tells her. "Only time I've ever heard Sinclair lose his cool on a comma," Raven says as I glanced over to my sister to see her eyes her eyes. "How long were you benched?" Gina questioned. "Benched?" Raven repeated. "I got the job done in record time. He promoted me" Raven laughed. "What can I say? Sinclair thinks I can do no wrong" Raven says. We walked closer to the common room to see a lot of our people sitting at tables. "Welcome!" Pike called out as he stands to his feet. "Come. Join us" he instructed. "Someone's made themselves at home" Raven stated. "There must be thirty of them in here," Octavia says. "Thirty-six, but more the merrier" Pike corrected us before shaking my hand. "Thirty-six? Wow," Octavia scoffed. "The Grounders are gonna think we moved in" she retorted. "Well, there was no room at the inn," Pike tells her. "And this is your option?" I cut her off. "O" I looked over my shoulder at her. "I'm outta here" she shakes her head before walking off. "Spirited" Pike chuckled. "Yeah" I nodded, agreeing with him. "Reyes! You're three hours late!" Sinclair yelled as I walked off with Pike.

Shadow POV

I stand next to Clarke, looking out onto the ice moving below the high tower. "I'm going back inside, you alright here?" She asked me. I nodded before she headed inside. I was now alone, looking out into the distances. I quickly turned when I heard the footsteps and see the man who had stabbed Bellamy. The man who captured Clarke and me, but now he's all cleaned up. "Well, if it isn't the Prince of Azgeda" I mock him as he walked closer. don't be fooled. I'm a prisoner here, same as you" he tells me. "You're the reason I'm a prisoner here" I hissed out. "Relax Wamplei. I'm here to help you" he smirked. I laughed softly "Yeah, sure you are" I don't believe him, turning back to watch the life outside the tower. He leans against the wall, standing closer to me. "Commander promised to lift my banishment if I delivered you and Wanheda safely. She broke our deal" he explained. "I'm willing to strike a new one with you so that we all can go home" he informed me. "We're already going home," I tell him. "Then you won't have a chance to get what you really want" he whispered to me. I shake my head, turning to him and glaring up at him. "What the hell would you know about what I want?" I hissed out. "I saw the look on your face when I took that hood off, you want revenge," he says. I think for a moment before stepping closer to him. "You want to kill her?" I asked him. He nodded once "So kill her," I tell him, no emotion in my tone. "You can get close. I can't" he pointed out. "You'll find a knife under your bed when you return to your room. I've already bought enough guards to get you back there" he tells me. "If you do this, Azgeda will take control of the coalition and you'll find a strong and grateful ally in the Ice Queen," He says. "And why the hell should I trust her?" I asked him. "From what I hear, she's worse than Lexa" I pointed out. "That because you've been talking to Lexa" he reminded me. "Look. We're all trying to do what's right for our people. This is what's right for your people" he tells me.

Bellamy POV

I stepped outside to see Octavia on the roof. "You okay?" I asked her. She didn't respond so I walked around and climbed up to the roof with her, sitting down next to her. "This is us h a mistake," She says. "The Grounders never accept it" She adds. "We're not the Mountain Men, O" I reminded her. "Nyko and Lincoln will make them see that" I add. "How? Lincoln has a kill order on him. He can't even leave the camp without risking his life" She tells me. "The summit will take care of that," I say. "Thought we could finally get out of here..." She blurted out. It hurt a little, her words. "I'm sorry, Bell" she apologized. "But I don't fit in here," she tells me. "If you need to leave, then I get that," I say. "But no matter what you'll always fit in with me" I reassure her. "Since we're sharing feelings, You need to stop leading Gina on," She tells me. I knit my brows together. "Don't look at me like that Bellamy, I see how you look at Shadow" she stated. "You're still in love with her and it's not fair to Gina or Shadow," She tells me. "Shadow and I broke up" I shake my head. "Because you broke up with her, that doesn't mean you stopped being in love with her" she explained. "Promise me, when this is all over you'll fix things with Shadow?" She asked. "Yeah..." I whispered to her. Suddenly there are three people in the grass, approaching the bunker. "What now?" Octavia asked. I noticed the woman they're dragging. "Echo?" I asked. "You know her?" My sister asked me. "Yeah, she's Ice Nation. She was in the cage next to mine" I explained as we approached them. "Bellamy!" Echo yelled. "Let her go" I ordered. "She threatened the summit" the guards hissed out. "I was trying to help!" She yelled. The guard kicked her down to the ground. "Shut up!" He ordered. "I said get your hands off her!" I shouted. Octavia rushed over, cutting the cloth off Echo's hands. "What are you doing? She's Grounder" The guard pointed out. We both helped Echo stand to her feet. "What are you talking about?" I asked Echo. "The summit's a trap. The assassin is already there. At sundown, your people will die" Echo explained. We entered the bunker and told everyone, get a plan together. "You should stay here," I tell Gina before she placed a kiss on my lips. "Don't do anything stupid? Alright?" She suggested. "When I get back, we'll talk about us?" I asked her. She looked worried for a moment. "I know..." she whispered. "About what?" I asked her. "I'm a woman Bellamy, a woman knows when a man is in love with another," she tells me. It hurt, but she is right. "I..." she shakes her head. "It's alright, Shadow is amazing and any guy would be lucky to have her," she tells me. "Wh..." I stutter over my words. She softly placed her lips onto mine again. "This...us, I'll never forget" She began to cry. "I'm sorry..." I apologized to her. She shakes her head "Don't be...." She whispered. "Now go..." she ordered me. "I have to stay and help Raven," she tells me.

Shadow POV

I had to tell Clarke of the plan. "Are you insane?! Trusting him of all people?" Clarke hissed out, taking the knife from my hands. "Lexa took everything for us! She took our people and then she took us, I want her dead" I tell Clarke. I snatched the knife back "Leave, unless you want to be involved in this" I tell her bluntly. Clarke shakes her head before storming out of the room. Not long I hear the door open back up and I hide the knife in my sleeve and turn my back to the door. "You wanted to speak with me?" Lexa asked as her guards left the room. "Shadow?" She called out, taking a step towards me. I whipped around, pressing the knife against her throat. I tried to press harder, my breathing getting heavy as images of my sister popped into my head, remembering how she died and it's Lexas fault. I stared her in the eyes, not able to move the knife and kill her, remembering how Lexa and I used to laugh. "I'm sorry..." she whispered. I shake my head, tears spilling from my eyes as I begin to sob. I turned my back to her, dropping the knife. Izzy would never want me to kill Lexa. "I never meant to turn you into this..." Lexa whispered to me. "I never meant for you to lose your sister Shadow, you must believe me..." she says. "But you and Clarke are free to go," she tells me. "Your mother and father are here. I'll have you and Clarke escorted to them" I hear Lexa about to leave when I spoke. "Wait!" I called out. "I have a better idea," I say to her.

I walked with Clarke into the room where my mother and father wait. Abby and Marcus both quickly approached us, wrapping their arms around us both. Clarke quickly pulled from her "We have something to tell you and not much time" Clarke began to say. "Wait a minute. Just let me look at you too" Abby says. "We'll have plenty of time to catch up once we get back home," Marcus tells Abby. "The commander is changing the terms of the summit" I blurted out. "Is this because of Mount Weather?" My father asked. "This is because of the Ice Nation," I tell him. "They want Lexa dead. They want to take over the coalition" I explained. "That's Lexa's concern, not ours" Abby whispered. "No, Mom. If Lexa falls the coalition shatters and there's no way we avoid that war" I explained to her. "You said there were new terms?" My father asked. I nodded "We become the thirteenth clan" I announced to them. They looked at us in shock and my father stepped away towards the edge of the tower. "The thirteenth clan, what does that mean?" Abby asked. "That we follow Lexa?" She questioned. "Yes," Clarke answered. "We came here to negotiate a treaty" Abby pointed out. "This is our Unity day mom," Clarke tells her. "We can be the thirteenth station or we can be the thirteenth clan" I informed her. "Marcus?" Abby turned to look at him. "Our daughters are right Abby," He says. "I've seen the Ice Nation army and we don't stand a chance against them. We need to do this" he answered. Abby nodded and turned back to us. "So we become the thirteenth clan...then what?" Abby asked. "What's gonna stop the Ice Nation?" She asked. "Wanheda" Clarke speaks.

Clarke and I both get dressed in the beautiful gowns and made our way to the commander's royal room for the summit. Our hair is done up halfway and we both have on dark paint across our eyes. The doors opened and we see Lexa in a red dress, standing in front of her thrown. All the grounders stand tall as we walked down the aisle together. We stand in front of Lexa and I glanced over to Clarke before nodding. We both gently kneeled before Lexa, bowing our heads. Just like that Roan had bowed and the rest soon followed, along with my mother and father. "Hail warriors of the twelve clans" Lexa spoke. "Hail commander of the blood" we all speak. "Rise" Lexa commanded. We all did so at the same time. "We welcome Skaikru to our halls in the spirit of friendship and harmony" Lexa spoke. "And we welcome Clarke and Shadow Kom Skaikru. Legendary Wanheda and Kwin gon Wamplei mountain slayer" Lexa stated. "The reason for this summit has changed. We are not here to negotiate a treaty with the Skaikru" she announced. "But rather imitate them into the coalition" she informed them. The clan members begin to clamor. "To symbolize this union the leader of Skaikru must bear our mark" Lexa informed them. My father stepped forward and I nodded. "Present your arm," Lexa tells him. Grounder beings over a hot branding iron as my father pulled up his sleeve. He grunted in pain when rudder the doors swung open and a group of people came rushing in. "Bellamy?" I asked, noticing I was our people. He has a gun to a Grounders head. "What is the meaning of this?" The man with no hair on his head questioned. "The summits a trap" Bellamy tells us before shoving the grounder away. "We need to get you out of here" Bellamy breathed heavily as he, Pike, and other guards point their hubs at the Grounders and Octavia displaying her sword to them. . "What the hell is going on?" I hissed, turning to Lexa. "I don't know" Lexa started. "It's the Ice Nation" Bellamy informed us. "These allegations are an outrage!" the grounder a few feet away says. "The ice Nation never stormed this summit with weapons, breaking our laws!" He shouted. "That was the Skaikru!" He added. "We're right about this. The two guards you left behind are dead already" Pike tells my parents. "We need to go now," Pike tells us. "How did you come by this information?" Lexa asked loudly. Bellamy looked behind him and then around the room. "Where the hell is Echo?" Octavia asked. "What's going on! Where the hell is she?" Bellamy asked. "Bell, maybe we were wrong about this" Octavia spoke. "I don't understand" he shakes his head. My father approached him, taking the gun. "Stand down" he ordered. "Bellamy! Bellamy come in!" I hear Raven over the walkie. "The Grounders attacked Mount Weather," Raven says. "What are you talking about?" He asked Raven. I slowly turned my head to Lexa. "It's gone, it's gone. "You should've never moved your people back into Mount Weather," The man Grounder says, standing in front of the cowed. "The Ice Nation did what Lexa was too weak to do" He turned to Lexa. Her whole expression changed to rage "This is an act of war..." she hissed out. "Sentries! Arrest the Ice nation delegation!" Lexa shouted. "Including the prince!" She ordered them as they begin taking every Ice nation member out of the room. "We need to get home," Abby says. "If they attacked Mount Weather Arkadia could be next" she explained. "I agree," My father says. "Go. Marshal your forces. We'll avenge the attack together" Lexa tells us. "I'll escort them" Indra offers. "Shadow we need to leave now," Bellamy says to me. "We need the ambassadors from the thirteen clans to stay here in Polis," I tell Bellamy, looking over at Clarke. "It's not safe here," Bellamy says. "Clarke and I will be safe here under Lexa's protection," I tell them all. Clarke approached our mother. "I have to stay," she says. "Clarke--" "Mom, She has to make sure Lexa keeps her word we need to stay here" I explained. "Commander, we must convene the war council immediately" Lexa's adviser reminder her. "I'll be right there," Clarke tells Lexa. We both hug our parents tightly. "Be safe..." Our mother whispered to us. "You too," I tell her as I pulled away. Bellamy approached Clarke and me. "She left us to die on that Mountain. She will always put her people first" Bellamy reminded us. "Come home to our people?" Bellamy begged me.
