Wanheda Part 2

Shadow POV

"It's been three hours. What are they waiting for?" Bellamy asked as we are trapped in the Rover, waiting for the Ice Nation to come out of hiding of the night. "Maybe for us to say hi, obviously to lure us out and try and kill us" I hissed at Bellamy. "Enough, Even with the light. I don't see anyone" My father says. I had turned the brights on to see in front of us but it wasn't enough. "I say we make a run for it" Monty suggested. I shake my head "No, that's what they want us to do" I pointed out. "The boy is right" Indra spoke. "They can wait longer than we can" she added. "Okay, Bellamy. You get in the turret and cover us" My father instructed him. "Once we get to that ridge over there, we'll cover you" he adds. "Copy that. Run fast" Bellamy says as he stands up and opened the roof. I unbuckled my seat belt and joined my father in the back. Thud! "They're here..." I hear Bellamy say. My heart sinks in my chest, pointing my gun up towards the roof. "Everybody out or the boy dies" the man's voice instructed. Suddenly Bellamy is pulled out through the roof. "Bellamy!" I screamed. "Okay! We're coming out!" I screamed as I dropped my gun. "Please! Don't hurt him!" I looked at everyone as I dropped all my stuff on the Rover floor and turned to the back door. I unlocked it but as soon as I cracked it opened huge men whipped it the rest of the way, grabbing me by the arm and tossing me to the ground, and stepping on my back with his large boot. "All targets secure!" A woman's voice shouted. Suddenly they ripped Monty up from the ground and snatched his beacon from his hand. "That's mine! Give it back!" He struggled against them. "Monty! Let it go!" I shouted. "M-Monty?" The woman's voice stuttered out. I knit my brows together, trying to look over my shoulder. "Mom?" Monty whispered out. What?!

The woman suddenly takes off her mask to reveal an older face. She runs over to Monty and pulled him into a hug. "I knew it..." she whispered. I hear Monty being to sob into his mom. "Farm station, stand down" I hear another man call out. The large boot lifted off my back and I slowly stand to my feet. "Pike?" My father asked as I run over to him and begin helping him off the ground. The man takes off his mask. "You have no idea how good it is to see you" Pike chuckled before hugging my father. "We didn't think you made it," My father tells him. "Lacroix, Smith. Watch our six!" Pike ordered them all. "Yes sir!" He called out. "Everyone else I said stand down!" Pike tells them once again. The rest of the men let go of Indra and Bellamy and I couldn't help but rush over to Bellamy, helping him off the ground. "You alright?" I asked. Bellamy knit his brows together "Y-yeah..." he nodded. "Where's dad?" Monty asked his mother. Her face was overcome with sadness. "Your father, didn't make it..." she told him. I walked back over to Pike "How many of you are there?" I questioned. "This must be one of your daughters you told me about?" Pike chuckled. I arched my brow high at my father before shaking my head. "There's 63 of us" Pike then answered. "The rest are camped in the mountains north of here. Grounder killers one and all. Am I right?" Pike asked. "Yeah!" They all shouted. My eyes went wide as I scanned their faces and then looked over to Indra. "Hate to cut this short. We gotta find Clarke" Bellamy says, approaching my side. "Clarke Griffin?" Pike asked me. I nodded "If only all my Earth Skills students were as good as her" Pike smirked. "It's good to see you, Sir" Bellamy laughed. "You, too" Pike chuckled. "Alright, now move your damn tree?" I hissed out. Pike laughed "I see she's got your fiery temper Marcus" Pike joked. "Help them!" He then called out to the others. "I'll be right back," Monty tells his Mother before we all walked over to the tree. Bellamy stands next to me "You were worried about me" he stated in a low tone. "No..." I scoffed. "I was more worried about what I'd have to tell Clarke when we found her, sorry I had Bellamy killed" I sarcastically tell him, lying to him once again. He rolled his eyes and chuckled as we bent down and began rolling the log together. I walked back over to my father and Pike. "63?" Farm station landed with three times those numbers. "The Ice Nation can be ruthless. Take pride in the numbers you've saved" Indra tells Pike. "Indra. This is Charles Pike. He was a teacher on the Ark" my father introduced them. "This is Indra. She's..." My father paused. "The leader of Trikru, a trusted ally" I blurted out. "I'll have to take your word for it," Pike says, almost glaring at Indra. "Kane! It's time to go!" Bellamy called out. "Monty! Give them the coordinates to Arkadia" My father instructed him. "We have a settlement 50 miles south of here. Your people will be safe there" My father tells Pike. "You're my people" Pike responded. "Good. Because we have reports that put Clarke north of here. We could certainly use your expertise" My father tells Pike. "If she's in the Ice nation you're gonna need more than that" Monty mother informed us. "We leave no one behind" Pike reminds her. "Lacroix, take the team and rendezvous with the others and get them to Arkadia!" Pike called out as my father made his way over to me. "I'm staying with my son," Monty mother told Pike. "Damn right, you are," Pike says back. "Mount up! We're going back into hell" I hear a man shout to other men. "Are you sure this is a good idea, Marcus?" I asked in a low whisper. "Pike is a good man, he will get us to Clarke" He stated before stepping around me.

We get to the village, pulling up in the Rover. "Alright, let the men..." I jumped out of the Rover with my gun cocked in ready. "Your daughter doesn't take orders" Pike hissed as Indra and Bellamy begin following me towards the trading post. My ears quickly catch the commotion and when we entered inside I didn't hesitate to squeeze the trigger, shooting the man standing over the woman with a knife in his hand. The man dies on the ground and the woman quickly stands to her feet. "Are you okay?" Bellamy asked her. I walk over to the man and see his face. "Bounty hunter," I tell them all. "Yu hon yu in osir sisplei" Indra spoke. "English!" Pike shouted. "Pike, go outside" My father ordered him as I had noticed they were now behind us. "Take Monty and Hannah and search the perimeter" He ordered. "Make sure he was alone" My father added. He nodded to my father before walking out of the shop. I approached the woman "Ai name ste trikova Black" I tell her my name in their language. "Osir ste lufa Wanheda au," I tell her we're looking for Clarke. She glanced over to the man I had killed. "So was he" she spoke. "Please" I begged. "She's in danger" I informed her. "You're Skaikru?" She questioned. "Yeah" I answered with a nod. "She was here last night" she informed us. "Did she say where she was going?" My father asked, approaching now. "No" the woman shakes her head. "She was here when I fell asleep and gone when I woke up" the woman explained. "She gives you any indication on where she might go?" My father asked. "No." The one-word answer I hated. "But he did..." she glanced again at the man I killed. "He said that his partner came back for her. It was ice Nation" she tells us. She looked over at me "I hope you find her" she says. "Thank you" I slightly smiled at her. Monty rushed into the shop "Good news. They found fresh tracks" he announced to us. "Great! Let's start the Rover" I excitedly said. I wanted to get to Clarke and get her home so finally, everything could go back to normal. "That's the bad news...Too many trees. We have to go on foot" Monty adds. My father leaves the shop and we all followed him out.

We're walking through a wheat field. Monty and his mother are talking when Bellamy comes to my side. "I think we need to find a time to talk" Bellamy stated. "Yeah? Talk about what?" I huffed. "The fact you clearly don't approve of Pike and how you were going to give up the Rover for me," he says. "Well. Like I said Clarke would kill me if I let you die" I bluntly tell him. "That's it?" He asked. "That's it, what else did you think?" I questioned. He didn't respond as Pike approached us. "Can I ask you two a question?" Pike asked. "If I say no, you're going to anyway so I guess" I huffed. "The last report we got on the Ark, you were under attack by Grounders. What changed?" He asked us both. "Turns out we had a common enemy" I answered him. "What happened to them?" Pike questioned. "We won" Bellamy answered this time. "Quiet!" Indra ordered us all. "Listen" she instructed us. I hear the faint sound of war drums in the distance. "War drums" I whispered. "Azgeda" Indra hissed out. "You can tell it's ice Nation from the sound?" I asked, knitting my brows together. "No. From the" she looked over and my eyes followed to see a group of men dead in the ground. We all aimed our guns "We need to get those bodies off the field unless you're good with thinking we did this!" Pike ordered two of his men. Bellamy rushed to my side "Wait!"

I called out. "Two people at 12 o'clock" I called out. I Aim my scope over to see the blonde hair with red stripes in it. "It's Clarke," I tell them. My feet move against the ground "Shadow!" My father called out. "Hey! Hey!" Bellamy stopped me dead, getting in my way. "Get out of my way Bellamy!" I hissed at him. "You'll never make it in time!" Bellamy tells me. "He's right, look" Pike pointed to the other side. I looked to see spillers marching on the wheat field. "No way we'd get across without being seen" Monty then speaks up. I looked back over to where the man is dragging Clarke. "We should lay low and let the army pass" Pike instructed us. "Then we find Clarke" he suggested. "Guys! There's a cave" Monty called out. "We just got lucky. Come on" Pike chuckled. "I can't go with you," Indra tells my father. "Why not?" I asked her as Bellamy, Pike and his men begin crossing over to the cave. "Ice Nation has crossed the border. They're marching against my commander I have to warm her" Indra tells us. "You're commander is a traitor!" I hissed out, venom in my tone. "We don't need you, we'll get Clarke" I stated. "You better. If the ice Queen gets her first. She'll be dead and we'll be at war" Indra says before taking off. "Marcus let's go," I say, taking his hand and running off to the cave.

I paced back and forth "We're losing her," I tell them all. "Relax Shadow, save your energy" My father instructed. "Your father is right, the army will move soon" Pike stated. "You'll need your fiery strength for what comes next" he added. I arched my brows high "One don't presume to think you know what this is like, you've never been to war" I informed him. "Second, I don't want or need your advice" I hissed out. "Shadow that is enough!" My father says, turning to me. "If you want to be a guard act like one. If not I will have someone take you home and you won't have to worry about being one after that, do you understand?" He asked. I glared at him as he did the same back. "She understands..." Bellamy grabbed my hand and pulled me back with him. The warmth sent

memories to my head. "Sit" Bellamy ordered me. I sigh, sitting on the rock. "I need to know what happened," Monty tells his mother. "Monty..." his mother shakes her head, warning him it wasn't good. "Please" he begged her. "We landed in the snow" she begins the story and I stood to my feet, walking over with Bellamy as everyone began listening. "Your father said it absorbed some of the impacts. That's why we survived" she says. "The snow looked so beautiful...a-and..." His mother couldn't go on any longer with the story before Pike began speaking. "The children were playing in it. They were the first to die" he informed us. My stomach turned, making me feel sick. "15 of them," he tells us. I begin to feel upset. "If not for your father, would have been more" Pike explained. "He pulled four kids back into the ship and all four live today," he says. "They got him when he went back for the fifth" Pike informed us. "Your father died a hero, Monty" Pike nodded. Monty begins to sob with his mother. "We've been fighting Grounders ever since" Pike added. What? The Grounders? "That was the ice Nation. Not all Grounders are the same" I tell Pike, thinking of Lincoln and how he helped us all this time. "They are to me" Pike hissed out.

"Bellamy I'm telling you, I cannot listen to this story. I'm begging you" I whispered to him. "If we sneak out now nobody will see us," I say to him. I looked over my shoulder to see Monty explaining how Clarke and I snuck out of Mount Weather. "Grab extra gear and I'll meet You outside the cave?" I suggested to him. Bellamy nodded. I rushed out of the cave and Bellamy is quick to come out. "How do we get past the army?" Bellamy asked. "Easy..." I whispered back. "Join them," I say, nodding over to the dead bodies. We quickly rushed over, pulling the clothes off the dead ice Nation and putting them on our own. We are sneaky enough to get into the army, our faces covered with a mask. Suddenly a spiller roughly grabbed Bellamy and I thought we were caught but we turned him around towards where they were headed before shouting out. It caused all the others to shout and chant with him as he walked away. "That was close..." I whispered as the army began to match. We sneak off, crossing the field and entering the woods. "I can't breath in this thing" I tossed the mask to the side and Bellamy does the same. We then approached what looks like stairs. Bellamy takes out his sword and I take out mine. I go first before Bellamy could do anything. I slowly walk down the stairs with my sword in hand and sneak around. I then see hands and rushed over to see Clarke tied to a post. Clarke an eye widened "Clarke...hey" I whispered as Bellamy walked over. "We're gonna get you out of here," Bellamy tells her as I take the cloth off her mouth. "Look out!" Clarke screamed. We both turned around and Bellamy is hit and the man begins fighting him as I tried to untie Clarke. Suddenly I'm groaned from behind and thrown to the ground. I moved out of the way and grabbed my sword off the ground and begin fighting with the man. "Ah!" I grunted as I tried hitting him with the sword. Then he got the better of me, sweeping me from under my feet my back hit the ground with a thud. I felt the cold metal against my throat. "No! Please! Please! Please!" I hear Clarke beg the man. "I'll do anything! I'll stop fighting! Just please don't kill her. She's my sister" Clarke sobbed. The man tilted his head to the side. "Ah... kwin gon wamplei" he smirked. "There's a bounty on your head as well," he tells me. "You're coming with me," he says. "In your dreams" I hissed out. "If not, I kill this boy you've come with" he threatened. "You won't" I shake my head. "No?" He took his large boot off my chest and walked over to Bellamy, stabbing him in the leg. "Ahhhh!" Bellamy screamed. "Fine!" I gave in. "Tie her hands now!" He ordered Clarke as he tossed her some cloth. "I'm so sorry" Clarke sobbed before tying my hands together as well as putting a cloth over my mouth. "Don't follow us!" The man shouted at Bellamy yanking the knife out of his leg before knocking him out cold. The man walked over to me, tying me to Clarke and then grabbing ahold of Clarke's rope.

Bellamy POV

He not only has Clarke but he's taken Shadow. I limp through the woods, my leg bleeding from the sword stabbing me. "Bellamy!" I hear Monty shout. "He's hurt!" I hear Marcus Kane announce. "We told you to wait for the army to move!" Marcus yelled at me. "What happened?" Monty asked me. "He took Shadow...." I tell them. "What?" Monty asked. "I almost had Clarke..." I breathed out. "Pike! Find their trail now!" Marcus ordered. "It's useless. He knows he's being followed now" Pike tells Marcus. I felt the pain, heartache. I shouldn't have let Shadow come. I try to walk but hiss in pain. "Hey. You can't even walk" Marcus tells me. "So what? We give up?" I asked him. "We let him kill them?" I questioned. I tried to walk "Bellamy!" Monty yells at me. How many times had Shadow forgiven me? "I wanna find them too. But look at your leg" Monty tells me. "You could die out where and we have no trail—" "I can't lose Shadow!" I shouted in anger, hurt, and pain that I let this happen. "We can't lose Clarke..."

I then say. "We'll find them. Okay?" Monty asked. "We will figure something out, I promise" Monty stated. "But this isn't the way..." he pointed out. He was right, if I was to get both of them back I needed to be at full strength. "Okay..." I nodded. "Let's head back" Marcus instructed as Monty begins helping me walk.

Shadow POV

I couldn't see a thing with the sack over my head. "Wanheda en gon wamplei swega klin" I hear the grounder speak. I pushed to the floor with a strong grip on my shoulder. Suddenly the sack is pulled off my head and the light hurts my eyes. When a person stands in front of the light my eyes widened to see Lexa and other grounders around the room. Then I remember what she had done to us, betrayed us. "Hello Clarke, Shadow" Lexa greeted. She takes a step closer to us, looking at our faces. "The deal was for you to bring them both to me unharmed" Lexa hissed out. "Neither one of them came easily," the man says. "I'd expect not..." Lexa says. My anger rises, remembering she's the reason Clarke and I had to kill all those people in Mount Weather. "I've done my part. Now do yours" He ordered Lexa. "Lift my banishment," he says to her. "I'm told your mother's army marched on Polis," Lexa says to him. Indra is standing on the right side of Lexa's chair, but why didn't she tell me there was a bounty out for me? "That has nothing to do with me," He tells Lexa. "Honor our deal..." he hissed out. "I'll honor our deal when your queen honors my coalition," Lexa says. "Lock prince Ron of Azgeda away" Lexa commanded. "Yes, Heda" a grounder nodded before placing the man under arrest "what is Wanheda gon wamplei" the man in the robe speaks. "Leave us" she ordered the rest. Indra glared at me as she walked by. "You heard me" Lexa spoke again before I hear the door shut. "Sis ''em au na on op" Lexa spoke, commanding the grounders to help us up. Two men grabbed both my arms and stood me up as two stood Clarke up on her feet. Lexa approached me, taking the cloth off my mouth. "I'm sorry..." she says. "That it had to be this way" she finished. It only made me angrier. "I had to ensure Wanheda and wamplei didn't fall into the hands of the Ice Queen" Lexa stated. "War is brewing ladies," Lexa tells us. I get even more pissed off. "I need you both" she then says. Need us? After what she did? After everything she caused? My anger gets the best of me and I spit in Lexa's face. The two grounders are quick to take my arms roughly, causing me to wince in pain. "You bitch!" I screamed, fighting against the two grounder men. "You wanted the Commander of Death? You wanted the Queen of Death! You got them!" I screamed at her. "I'll kill you!!!" I shouted, my voice echoing through the halls as I struggled against the grounders. "Ahhh! I'll fucking kill you bitch!" I screamed as they dragged me away, bringing Clarke with me.
