Shadow POV

"Everywhere I looked there were fina and teeth and blood. I knew if they saw me. I'd be next" The woman went on as we sat down in their common unit in front of a small fire. "So I just floated there. Waiting and praying they'd swim on" she went on. "She's here" Bellamy nudges me. "Maybe she changed her mind" He added as Luna walked into the room. We approached her. "The boats return at night fall. Then you leave. Forever" she ordered us. "Luna. Let us explain" I begged her. "I said no" she hissed out. "No. You need to hear this" I tell her but a man held me back a little. She looked at me and tilted her head to the side. "There is something out there that is going to destroy us all" I informed her. "Whatever it is. It cannot reach us here" she tells me before walking away and over to Octavia.

Bellamy, Octavia, Clarke and me sit in our group. "Jasper is actually smiling" Bellamy pointed out. I look over my shoulder to see Jasper flirting with a woman. "Clarke. Let it go" Bellamy say as Clarke glared at the woman. "We can't just leave" She says. "It's not like we have much of a choice" I pointed out as I leaned my body against Bellamy to keep warm. He wrapped his arm around me in a protective way. "Maybe we do" Clarke stated. "What are you talking about?" I asked Clarke. "I'm talking about putting this into her head without asking" Clarke hissed. I was shocked to even hear her words right now. "No way Clarke!" I whispered. "This ain't like Emerson. He was trying to kill us" I pointed out. "You think I don't know that?" Clarke asked. "We don't have to do this. We can fight. We can go back to Arkadia and arm up" I tell her. "Fight who? It's an army of our own people" she reminded me. "I don't like this anymore than you do. But If Raven is right. Then code on this ring stops Alie" Clarke tells us. "Give me a better idea" Clarke begged me. Neither one of us thought of anything. "We'll stay here. It's the only way they'll have you alone with her" Bellamy spoke. I get angry with Clarke. "Even Alie gives people a choice" I reminded her. "We gave Luna a choice. She said no" Bellamy pointed out before Clarke stood to her feet and walked off.

Clarke had failed. It was dark when they walked us out of their city. "Where's Jasper?" Bellamy asked. "Saying goodbye to his new friend" I smiled as we kept walking. I was sort of glad she failed though. Luna shouldn't have to be forced into being Commander. "Sorry Cap. We gotta take them back" Luna tells the man who brought us here. "Your gear. You get your weapons once you land" she tells us as she tossed our gear into the container. "inside" the men shoved Bellamy and me inside. "the flame?" Clarke asked Luna. Luna holds it up "Remember, Clarke. A path of violence is a choice" She spoke. "when the choice is fight or die. There is no choice" Clarke tells Luna. Suddenly cap grabbed the flame and shoved Clarke inside, shutting the doors behind her. I run at the doors "They took the flame and they're locking us in!" I shouted. "Hey! Let us out!" I screamed. "What is this?" Clarke asked. "Luna people are attacking her" Bellamy spoke. "Alie's here..." I whispered. How did she even know where we were going?

Bellamy keeps running at the metal door for the 100th time. I kicked the side and screamed in frustration. "How did Alie even find this place?" I asked. "There was a drone at Niylahs. She must have follow us. Looking for the Flame and now she has it" Bellamy answered. "she's gonna out the AI in Luna" Bellamy says. It then hit me "She would have to chip her first" I stated. "If Luna is chipped before she gets the AI Alie is gonna know everything. We'll never be able to stop her" I explained. "We can't let that happen" Clarke says. "Hey!' she banged on the metal door.

It was now dark and the wind blew hard against the metal container. "This place was safe until we got here" Octavia spoke. Suddenly the door opened and I hear the sound of sobbing. We all run towards the door, opening them up all the way to see the woman Jasper was with. She has an arrow in her back and she's bleeding out. "Oh my god" Clarke gasped, beginning to look at her wounds. I looked around to see nobody but her. "A machine...P Level" she gasped for air before going completely limp. "Let's go" I say, knowing she wasn't savable now. We all rushed off towards P level. I run for the door and kicked it open. "Shadow careful!" Bellamy yelled at me. I get inside the room to see Luna sobbing over a man's body. "Oh no..." Luna sobbed harder. "I'm so sorry" she sobbed as Octavia takes down Jasper and Bellamy checks on the little girl. Clarke and I rush over to Luna. The man takes his last breathe and Luna let out a wailing cry that broke my heart. "I'm so sorry..." Luna sobbed as she rubs the man's face. She let out another heart aching wailing cry that echoed as she laid her head on the man, weeping louder. We gathered as Luna cleaned up. "Anyone could be chipped and we wouldn't know" Bellamy whispered to me. "If they are. They'll make their move before the flame goes into Luna" I say. "Stay sharp" I reminded Jasper and Octavia and Bellamy and Clarke. Luna had agreed to take the Flame and fight for her people, the ones she had lost. Luna and another woman approached us. "The Ceremony is about to begin" Luna stated. "Luna, wait" I say to her, causing her to stop. "I'm so sorry..." I whispered to her. "But now you see what we're facing. An enemy that will do anything to win. She won't stop until she has everyone" I tell her. She holds the flame in her hand. "People I love died today. Needlessly at my hand. I can't let that happen again" she turned and her people Rose from their seats. "As we prepare to give our brothers and sisters to the sea we honor their lives" she rises her glass and we do the same. "Kom water osir laik born kom water osir return" she spoke. "From water we are born, to water we return" I tell them all as her people repeated. We all drink and it definitely wasn't water. Luna turned me us "If we're going to do this. We have to hurry it. Alie will send reinforcements" Clarke tells her. "We have to find someplace private to perform the ascension" I tell Luna. "You believe that to defeat an enemy who will stop at nothing, you must stop at nothing" She hissed out. "How's that different than Blood must have blood?" Luna questioned. "Wait a second...Luna you can't just.." I begin to feel dizzy and everything around me spins as my body hit the floor, collapsing to the ground as my drink did as well. My eyes feel heavy as my heart pounds in my chest like a drum.

I slowly open my eyes to see Bellamy sitting up in the sand. I sighed and looked around to see we're back where we had started. Bellamy helps me stand and Clarke woke up, instantly checking the flame to see it was there. Everyone begins to wake up and I followed Bellamy to the edge of the water. "Now what?" I asked everyone. Luna was our last shot, now we didn't know what to do.
