While Naruto and Luna read through the piles of paperwork in the Kurama clan, Kaede who had nothing better to do decided to mess with some people again

Neji was walking around the Hyuga clan compound, he didn't go to Minato's memorial, as he was not obligated, he didn't do it, easy as that

he couldn't get why people just loved to celebrate the dead, it was beyond him

when his father died he was sad, angry and confused, but he never got the urge to party because of that

And while we can agree that those people are dumb, what can they do about it? they aren't ninjas in their majority, so they can't really cope with it

what does being a ninja have to do with coping with tragedy? are you really asking that?

Today was a different day for Neji, for a year now, he has been training every day, but today, like every once in a while, is raining, and as such, he can't train

I mean... he could, but god forbids getting wet in water instead of sweat when training, so... not happening

"Sigh..." Watching the rainclouds he sighed

At times like this, he used to think about how things are going around him

"Recently Lee has been acting weird..." He mused, not having much to think about besides that

"To be honest he was already pretty weird, no?"

Hearing that voice Neji jumped away while widening his eyes

How couldn't he, a Hyuga see someone right beside him? is his byakugan just for show?

"Well, that's a stronger reaction than I expected, hello there Neji, how's it going?" Kaede asked with a smile

"What are you doing here Uchiha Kaede?" Neji asked with a glare, and you can tell when someone is serious because he said a full name

"Wow, it has been a long time since someone called me like that... anyway, I came to talk, don't worry

If I wanted to harm you, you wouldn't be seeing me right now" Kaede said, someone may misinterpret her words as if she wouldn't have shown herself, but we all know Neji would be dead, and he did as well

"...How did you hide from my byakugan?" He asked with an even deeper frown

It honestly amazed Kaede just how much people liked to talk, by any means, having a nukenin sneak up on you, should make you either run or attack them, not start a conversation...

meh, kids in Naruto world think different - Kishi-someone once said... and by once I mean once every time someone pointed some mistakes... yeah, seems legit

"I didn't, you just got too enthralled by cloud gazing to notice me

Maybe you should talk wit the naras, they love to do so as well, you know?"

As Kaede said that Neji didn't even flinch

'As weird as they said she is...' He thought, confirming previous info that they spread about her

"Time sure flies, no? Last time I saw you, you got your ass handed to you by Naruto" Kaede remarked, remembering that she didn't interact with Neji that much, no one would, he was a weird guy, that's for sure

if she reacted strongly, he may even get some hits on her, and with his gentle fist, he could even incapacitate her, he thought

But his taunts are worst than a kid's, so he failed

"Man, that fight sucks... you just bullied Naruto until he punched you back once, and that was it, lame"

Neji didn't answer, he didn't even know how he was supposed to in this situation

"And in the end, you still had to be right... talent beat hard work, such a bummer" To that, however, Neji frowned

"I don't think you remember it well then, Naruto proved me wrong, he beat me" He said

"But that's the whole point Neji, Naruto Uzumaki won, not you"

With a confused face that screamed 'What you on about?' Neji looked at Kaede for answers

Neji was more than surprised, it has been a year and he has been through a lot... he changed, or at least liked o think so, for the better

but why is he so... uncomfortable with this new information?

Has the things he learned in the hard way, all been a lie? is that it?

How could he know that Kaede's aura made people around her more susceptible to bad emotions? he just couldn't, not many knew about that

"That's why that fight sucks, it had no meaning, everything it meant, was all a lie" Kaede said, bringing Neji's attention back to her

"Why are you telling me all this?" Neji asked with a suspicious gaze, he may be affected by bad emotions, but one such emotion is also suspicion

"Simple reason really, I just want to offer you an easy powerup

our clan's dojutsus have more in common than you think, but we have little time... I still have to visit someone else, and if the memorial ends, I won't have time...

so, you up to it?" Kaede said, and as much as Neji wanted to immediately refuse... there is one really bad emotion, a horrible one in this case
