Thanos vs Sorcerer Supreme (3)

[3rd POV]

The battle between Thanos and the Ancient One had intensified. Both sides gave it their all and fought as hard as they allowed themselves to.

Thanos used overwhelming strength and power, he was like a cosmic force of strength, the personification of power.

While the Ancient One used her tricks, and her experience. She was everything a sorcerer should be, she threw every spell she had learned in her thousand years of existence.

The battle was coming to an end, and the Sorcerer Supreme was losing. There was a limit to how many tricks and spells she could pull out.

On the other hand, Thanos was only getting stronger, he was getting more accustomed to using his strength and his infinity stones. And whatever tricks the Ancient One used, he remembered and made sure he was not tricked again.

As the battle raged on, it became clear that the Ancient One never had a chance against Thanos. Maybe if Thanos was without any infinity stone she could beat him but with two? Thanos was officially the strongest creature in the Universe.

The mirror dimension was ravaged as if the dimension had adopted the concept of destruction itself. Pieces of skyscrapers, mountains, and great landmasses float around the place like a perfectly crafted chaos.

They flew around at breakneck speed and they would crash and cause huge explosions that would surely deafen an ear.

Broken cities hang upside down and the sky was at the side. Everything appears to be straight out of a lucid dream, a nightmare of some sort.

Thanos grabbed a huge piece of rubble and coated it with space energy so it would not break. Then he threw it at the Ancient One who opened a portal and sent the rubble back at Thanos.

He punched the rock into a million pieces and looked at the Sorcerer in annoyance. It had been some time and he was tired of fighting with the tricky bitch.

"Don't look at me like that, we're having fun." She said while weaving her hand as eldritch energy sparked around her.

"{Vapours of Vlatorr!!}" She said as huge black smoke erupted from her. This black smoke devoured light itself wherever it went.

Color seemed to fear the dark smoke as the places near the smoke, yet had not reached, turned into black and white.

The colors of reality was running away from the smoke.

Although the spell seemed powerful, Thanos felt no threat from it. It was probably just a smokescreen, the greatest might he add.

The smoke quickly covered everything as darkness met his gaze. Even with all his power and amazing eyes, he could not see.

Thanso was blind.

"Foolish," Thanos said, his eyes were hardly his main sense. Especially when fighting a sorcerer, you learned to barely rely on sight. He couldn't count how many times she had tricked him using an illusion attack.

Thanos tried and felt his opponent's presence and he shot towards it with five times the speed of sound. But before he reached his opponent, he was captured by powerful tendrils which suddenly erupted below him.

The cold tendrils sapped his strength whenever he tried to get out and used his strength.

"Hah, got you." The Ancient One remarked.

This was where Thanos made a grave mistake, thinking the Ancient One was trying to dull his sense and hide from him.

The Sorcerer knew she could never hide her presence from Thanos but that was never her goal. It was to hide the obvious markings below her.

The Icy Tendrils of Ikthalon. It was a binding spell but for it to be strong and powerful, there has to be a summoning circle where the tendrils would easily come out with their full strength.

But it was easily avoidable, the opponent just had to avoid the summoning circle. But Thanos was unable to see so he never knew there was such a circle.

The Ancient One had outsmarted him. It was a wit that came from thousand years of experience, something which Thanos who was not the original could never replicate.

Especially in a high-speed battle such as this, the Ancient One felt like she was playing with a young boy. But the only problem was that the boy had a hundred times the raw power she had.

The Ancient One delivered a powerful palm strike at Thanos's chest. The force behind the strike dispersed all of the smoke immediately.

It was a magical explosion more than it was raw strength, that blew away the dark smoke.l which ate light. Thanos's real body stayed still, trapped by the glowing tendrils.

But his soul/spirit was sent flying out of his body at breakneck speed and into the distance.

Thanos's body went limb without the soul. The Ancient One in a great hurry, dispersed the binding spell because she could also get caught under the spell if she stepped inside the circle.

After the tendrils and the summoning circle disappeared, she went to Thanos's limp kneeling body. She could not kill the titan since he was so damn durable but she could take away his main weapon.

The infinity stones.

But as she reached out her hand to take the stones from him, Thanos's body moved and grabbed her small hand and broke it immediately.

She did not even have the time to register the pain because she was too shocked, she turned her head and her eyes met the eyes of Thanos.

The Ancient One trembled as she looked at his eyes. His face slowly split into the most heinous grin she had ever seen.

The aura around him also changed completely to something more evil and cunning.

She was sure she had pushed out his soul, so how could he still move? And from his eyes, she could see that there was a soul, the eyes reflected it.

'But wait....it's different.' she came to a conclusion, 'It's like a different person.'

"Who are you?" She asked but winced when Thanos tightened his hold on her hand.

She got no reply as he was flung away like a ragdoll.

Then Thanos waved his hand and the soul that flew out of his body returned with the same breakneck speed.

Thanos staggered as the soul entered his body again.

"What the fuck just happened?"
