Chapter 4: Town

Smelling the air Dyllis kept running at full speeds feeling she is getting closer to a town, the trees woosh right past her as she kicks up dirt each step she takes as Tobca follows lagging by a meter or two.

Finally stopping by the treeline of where the forest ends a bright pink sky could be seen as a huge orange orb sets down to the horizon. Slowly vanishing from sight leaving the sky a dark blue. Dyllis heard a thud right behind her as the water fae laid on the ground face first with a few sticks and leafs sticking out of her midnight blue hair.

She laughed at the sight of Tobca making her angry "It is not funny!" she breathes heavily as she spoke. Dyllis nodded her head 'yes it is' Tobca grunts in annoyance "Let me catch my breath before you run off again" still sounding like she had run a marathon as she relaxes a bit on the grass floor, Dyllis lean onto a tree as she waited for the other girl to catch her breath.

Half an hour later Tobca got up shakily as her breath was as steady as a river. Dyllis wrapped her makeshift bandana on her lower face to hide her hideous mouth from prying eyes, the water fae next to her felt a bit upset by the other covering her mouth.

Dyllis looked at Tobca as she made hand gestures for her to stay and be out of sight from other individuals it took about an hour before Tobca understood. Dyllis started walking towards the small town that looked to be quite broken down some of the wooden building roofs have already collapsed on itself.

'what terrible living condition these people live in' she thought with a bit of pity. Entering a stone building that had large bold letters saying 'Golem Guild' with that thought in mind she enters the building. it seems pretty deserted except for one attendant at the desk.

Walking towards him, he eyed her as she came closer "Welcome t the golems guild how may we help you?" he asks nicely with a fake smile, Dyllis moved her hands about trying to explain she wanted to get a job there. The attendant watched her hands confusingly before getting the hint that the person was mute.

"Would you like paper and quill pen miss?" he asked, Dyllis nodded her head, the attendant reached under the desk bringing out the said items and gave them to her. Writing down what she was trying to say "I want to get a job here but I currently have no money since I was attacked by bandits" passing the paperback the attendant read it before speaking "Well you can join as an adventure since we are low on them," he said nicely.

She nodded her head once again, the guy grabs more papers before putting it on the desk "Fill these out and then come to the back with me to test your magic attribute and your overall strength" he explains.

Writing down her information and changing her race to a human on the paper then writing her age, gender, level etc. Passing the paperback the attendant looked it over "Alright then Miss Smallwood please follow me" walking into the back a giant floating crystal "Now just place your hand on the crystal" he said simply as she put her hand on the crystal a shining black light shone from the gem.

The Attendant widens his eyes in shock at how bright it lights up and the fact it turns black. A scared look appeared on his face, a blue window appeared in front of him as he read the details.

Looking at her stats it was extremely abnormal for any normal human stats to be like, it would usually range from 5-15 points for levels 1. With a strange look on his face, he left the room to get her guild id. Dyllis took her hand off of the crystal and waited in the room for him to come back.

He enters back into the almost empty room with a jade-looking rectangle in his hand "Here you go. This is your Id and you are a rank F adventure" he passed the card to her. "You can get any quest that is Rank F, just bring it to me and I'll approve it for you" he explained, nodding in understatement she walked out of the room with the floating crystal.

Walking to the F board she looked at all the quest before deciding to pick one at random. She brought it to the desk "You really are gonna do a herb collecting quest?" He asks strangely, she just nodded her head in confirmation. letting out a sigh he stamped the paper with approval before giving it back to her while writing something down on a small note.

Taking her quest she looked at it seeing she needed to find some BearRoot x5 and she needed to grab the two-season flower which has blue and red petals. thinking it shouldn't be too hard she headed back to the forest where Tobca waited up in a tree.

Dyllis hold up the paper and pulled down her makeshift bandana as a smile could be seen even though it looked extremely creepy. The water fae jumped down and took the paper from Dyllis then looked at her questioningly, The cannibal covered her eyes with her hands to try to get her to understand that she needs money to get something that covered their whole being.

Understanding a fraction of it she gave the paperback to the Wendigo, Dyllis Pointed at the 2 season flower then pointed at the water fae "You go get this item" which was what she was trying to say.

understanding the fae walked off thinking where there might be 2 season flowers, Dyllis thought she should go find some bear tracks to be able to find some bear root cause that how you can find them or something.

Walking off as she smelled the air trying to pick up a bear scent she found a tree that had clawed marks and a few ruined beehives around the area.
