Awakening- no not the devil fruit
Our protagonist was laying on his bed sweating heavily, his eyelids fluttering as he was impacted with the memories of the boy he is now possessing. He recalled meeting a goddess who reincarnated him to one piece as a character he felt could have been better.
The memories of a young boy who grew up in the north blue on the island of notice. The mc began to sweat as he analyses his origins. He awakens and sits up to look in the mirror near his bed. He touches his face and recognised the five year old in the mirror.
"Holy shit I'm bellamy?!?!?!" The big exclaims as he looks at his reflection in the mirror. After freaking out about the whole existential crisis of reincarnation he begins to grin. He's in one piece! The longest running anime and manga he knows. And then it dawns him... he is in one piece!!!!!! One of the most deadly worlds from earth.
Corrupt government, murderous pirates, lethal environment, devil fruits and not to mention the marines! Ahhhh this is going to be hell if he doesn't plan this out.
The boy who will now be referred to bellamy crosses his legs and goes over what he knows in his head. The goddess gave him an enhanced memory as his power which was low tier compared to everything else but extremely useful as he reviews all the info about one piece he can remember. The mc had surfed the wiki numerous times reviewing numerous characters and places.
What he remembers about notice is that it's where Bellamy and his buddies left and formed their crew. Bellamy recalled that the canon version idolised doflamingo but he hasn't met him yet in this body. What's worse is that he knows more about bellamy and can't help but blame ODA for this bullshit.
Bellamy in the original story was created to be a parallel to luffy. To show was a scummy version of him would look like. They would have similar powers, a worship of a new world pirate and a strong will. What ODA left out was that bellamy much like luffy also has a grand parent in the marines who can be regaled as a hero.
*knock knock* "bellamy dear I'm coming in~" oh shit, the door opened and a skinny mature woman entered. She had a rifle and white coat strapped to her back while she wore a pink loose shirt that hung off her body. She had some wrinkles that formed due to stress along with some white hairs that marred her long tied back blue hair.
Ffs ODA!!! How could you neglect to mention that bellamy was the grandson of the marine hero tsuru!!!!!
"Bellamy are you alright?!? Your sweating?" The old woman said worriedly as she began to feel his head. Bellamy licked his lips and replied
"Sorry granny I had a nightmare about some blonde pirate." She exhaled and comforted her grand son "don't you worry bellamy as long as I'm here no pirate will ever harm you." And then she hugged him.
Bellamy could feel the love pulsing out from his new grandmother. He recalled how his old family barely acknowledged him so he grabbed onto tsuru and smiled. "Hai granny, come on let's get you breakfast. Work has been making you loose more weight. Just say the word and I'll give that old Buddha a piece of my mind".
She laughed happily then said "hold still, I'll wash you" wait what? Oh crap I thought as my body began to be twisted and ringed like a towel. The dirt is accumulated from sleeping was pulled out of me and dropped to the floor. This was tsuru's devil fruit ability the wash wash fruit. She can turn people into washing and clean them however she pleases.
As she put me down and my body returned to normal I felt more energised. I suddenly had a thought from all the cultivation novels I used to read. "Granny could you do that again except try to wash out all the impurities in me?" She cocked an eyebrow.
"Ordinarily I couldn't however thanks to me attaining a thing called awakening a few months ago I can clean more thoroughly. I can also wash myself now~ you've been reading up with those girls your friends with haven't you Bellamy." Then she grabbed me again and twisted me much harder than previously.
I heard cracks and pops which felt like a high quality massage. Then the room began to smell liek shit as she dropped me down and began washing me with soap. The second time I stood up and felt stronger, my blood pumped much faster and my skin felt smoother. "Oh my~ you turned into such a handsome boy bellamy" "I wasn't handsome before?" "Hahahaha of course you were but now you've got much more. It looks like my genes are finally shining through". This woman.
After that she guided me to the table we're we had porridge followed by a sea king toasty. Tsuru as a marine makes a fortune so she often spends it on food. The food in this world is packed with super nutrients that make the body much stronger so she brings sea king meat back from the grand line to feed me.
After having my meal I bid her farewell to go out and play with the other kids. I recalled bellamy often played with two girls called muret and mani so I went to find them. Suddenly two girls approached me, one was a black girl who had a few gold rings on and the tiger was a pink haired girl holding a medical book.
"Bellamy there you are! Come quick that fool sarquis and his girl friend lily are talking about some pirate who has been spotted in the area".
"Oh whose that then?"
"Doflamingo! That leader of the donquixote pirates. He said that his parents said an auction was happening soon. They may even sell those mystical devil fruits!" Muret the pink haired girl dressed in yellow said excitedly.
I just couldn't help but think 'is this when I was meant to be idolised in canon' cause doflamingo and shanks are too different in terms of power. Mani was jumping up and down "yes I hope they have some of them fruits. I've always wanted to eat one~ didn't your granny and her workers eat some. They're so pretty!"
Yup my granny's crew are also here and guess what? We despise each other, the original hated them because they always pulled his granny away to work and she was always dead tired. And they hate me because I'm a male, I can remember a certain swordswoman whose on her crew who likes to insult me a lot.
I can out of thoughts and nodded to the girls "come one girls my granny should have a devil fruit encyclopaedia for us to read. We can learn which ones they may be selling at the auction." Which was met with chirps of happiness.
As we walked towards my house I tried to recall the rest of bellamys family. Unlike luffy I know mine and the results are again similar. I don't know my father but my mother is a damn revolutionary. She's also really powerful, her names belo Betty and she followed her friend dragon when they were marines according to my granny.
She showed up here in their home town and passed me to granny tsuru to be raised. My granny was similar to garp in that aspect though she left me to be cared for by the towns people.
I also only really played with these two girls as the others didn't like me. My granny was rich and strong so they were jealous because how she would spoil me. What they didn't know was that she encouraged me to read and had me study a lot. To a normal kid that was torture but to me I couldn't help but be thankful.
I can read the language and no a lot of things about the world now such as islands that weren't revealed in canon. Granny also let me glance her paper work a few times so I've seen some hidden information like about powerful devil fruits and pirates. It also let me learn about the north blue which I'm comparing to my knowledge in my head.
Who can I recruit for my own crew that was from the north blue. I immediately crossed out sanji from that forming list as well as law. Though I have some interesting plans they'll have to wait.
"Hey girls after we finish reading you wanna start training?" Mani tilted her head cutely "why bellamy?"
"Cause if we're gonna explore the world we gotta be strong. And if we eat devil fruits the stronger our bodies the better. Another bonus is that is can improve a persons figure so make them pretty. That's why my granny and her people are so pretty". They had shining eyes at the thought of being as beautiful as some of the women on my granny's crew.
The original Bellamy let these two die in canon, I'm not going to make that same mistake. As I opened the doors to the library in my house I swore that I'd live an amazing life. The girls behind him noticed a small rippled that drew their attention to bellamy come off his body.
