Rosalie’s day

Rosalie POV

As I made it back home after my first time meeting with Theodore in school. I kept dragging myself down for how stupid I was to freeze up like that. Who could've expected that my mind would completely go blank by how infatuated I was at seeing my mate. I couldn't even interact with him normally.

" It's alright Rosalie. I'm sure you'll have another chance to talk with him." Edythe said trying to reassure me.

" Get out of my head!" I snarled and went in my room. To have a semblance of peace and quiet to rearrange my thoughts.

'Agh how am I supposed to woo him. If I'm unable to speak to him. Maybe I can seduce him by text. But I don't have his number and I don't think he'll give it to me after what I did to him today. I'm such a moron.'

A knock at the door, got me out of my misery.

" Who is it?" I asked.

" It's me Alice." She said while opening the door and letting herself in.

" Did you hear me say that you could come in. No! So get out before I make you!" I snarled, I'm not up to Alice rubbing it in my face that my mate is now her best friend. If I didn't know how much the little pixie longed for a friend I would've forbid her to even approach him. But then again I would have to deal with Jaspers wrath. Who still beats all of us easily. We all know his past and I know how deadly he can be when it comes to Alice's happiness.

" Calm down Rosalie, I've come bearing good news! News you'd love to hear!" Alice chirped happily while frolicking her way to my bed.

I perked up hearing her say that. And turned from my vanity mirror to Alice making her know she had my full attention.

" Well I have a plan, that might actually works. You see Rosalie your problem is your incapability to speak properly around your mate. Jasper was close to you when he felt those paralyzing amount of admiration and love coming from you. So he'll recreate those emotions you felt in you when you met Theo. And you'll have to try to control yourself and act normally. Push through your mate induced daze. And when you're finally able to speak coherently I'll set up a date for you and Theo. I've already been pushing him your way during our conversations. Now you just need to make him know you're interested."

The moment Alice finished her plan I lunged at her and hugged. "Alice you're the best wingman I could ask for!" I exclaimed excitedly. Realizing what I just did, I sat upright and corrected my posture. To my usual uncaring and cold self " *cough*cough* So when do we start?" I asked in my usual composed tone.

I've been practicing from the moment Alice told me of her brilliant idea. After all the faster I manage to control myself, the faster my happily ever after with my mate will start. I was currently in Alice's room. While she and Jasper were cuddling and watching a movie. I was on the couch near them trying to get a hold of my emotions and not freeze up. I didn't manage to speak yet. But I could already feel the difference. I could now move my head and my eyes freely. Not good enough for a normal interaction with my mate but still an improvement. The calm in the house was suddenly lifted when Alice had a vision of Edward getting struck by lighting. She kept calling him to try and prevent it but the dumbass hung up on her. And even went as far as shutting down his phone completely.

A couple of minutes later that same dumbass, came home with a pained look on his face and his right arm was missing. We could see the charred end of his elbow. Still smoking and black. It already started healing but we all knew that he would never have his hand back.

I was more than pleased when I saw him in pain it looked like divine retribution. That asshole threatened to hurt my mate if he got in the way of 'his Bella'. If it weren't for Alice I would've ripped his head off his shoulders.

Edythe glared at me. " That's my twin your thinking about."

I was about to retort back, but Edward's angry shout and lung broke the silence. He lunged on Alice while shouting. " Why didn't you tell me about the lightning strike?!" But before he could get to her. Jasper grabbed him mid lunge by his midsection and slammed him to the floor. Before Edward could get up by using his only arm. Jasper's hands were already on his neck and cracks started to appear as he was about to rip his head off.

The only thing that prevented him from doing so was Alice's touch who was stroking him soothingly trying to alleviate the anger he was feeling.

Edythe tried to go after Jasper but Emmet and I quickly grabbed and held her in place. Effectively preventing her from doing something that would probably result in her losing a couple of body parts.

" Let me go! He's my brother!" Edythe kept shouting and flailing but neither I nor Emmet let her go.

Esme and Carlisle ran downstairs. After hearing the strange commotion.

" Edward! Oh my god! What happened to your arm?!" Esme asked startled at seeing Edward with a missing arm.

" Sorry, Esme! I tried to tell him! I kept calling him but he didn't answer. And since he wasn't making any decision I couldn't figure out where he was till it was too late." Said Alice with little tears of frustration present in her eyes.

" And what is he doing on the ground? Jasper would you please release him." Said Carlisle in his ever-present calm and civilized demeanour.

Jasper released Edward but kept an eye on him till Edward backed away from Alice. "He tried hurting Alice, I simply stopped him." Stated Jasper without leaving Edward from his sight.

"Edward explain yourself." Ordered Carlisle taking his coven leader position seriously.

" I was at Bella's house." He said while refusing to meet our eyes. The moment we learned she was his singer he told us he would be leaving for Alaska so he won't end up killing my mate's sister. We thought he was far away from us that's why we didn't go out and tracked him by sent to prevent him from getting hit by lightning.

" And what were you doing at Bella's house?" Asked Carlisle, clearly pissed off that he lied to the family on his whereabouts.

" I...I..." Edward couldn't muster the courage to say it.

" He was watching her sleep. God, you're weird Edward what happened to you?" Edythe interrupted him.

"Get out of my head Edythe!" Edward snarled at her. Emmet took a step in front of her and glared at Edward in case he tried to hit her.

Everyone was watching Edward with a weird expression. That was some creepy thing to do.

" Edward we already told you she is not your soul mate." Edythe told him. " If she was Alice would've seen her coming. You just have to wait for yours I'm sure she's out there somewhere." She said while walking toward him trying to soothe him.

But Edward didn't want to hear any of it. The moment he was about to strike Edythe. Emmet's fist crashed into him with such force it sent him through the glass wall of the living room and out of the house. Where he skidded a little before managing to stop himself and landing in a crouch. With his eyes fully black and a vicious snarl that escaped his lips. Emmet seeing how angry Edward was getting crouched in front of Edythe to defend her if he were to try and attack her again.

But just before they could clash. A vicious snarl coming straight from the dept of hell, stopped them in their track.

" I WILL NOT HAVE ANY FIGHTING IN MY HOUSE!!!" Shouted the ever gentle and caring Esme.

" EMMET YOU'RE FIXING THAT WINDOW YOU JUST BROKE AND EDWARD I THOUGHT YOU WERE ON YOUR WAY TO ALASKA!" Esme shouted with clear anger and finality to her tone.

Both boys immediately obeyed. Not wanting to piss Esme off any more than she was.

I felt that Today was going to be a pretty good day. After the Edward incident, I went back to Alice's room where Jasper helped me control my Emotions.

Before going to school I was able to move all of my body and control all the expression on my face. But sadly I still couldn't speak.

In lunch break, my mate decided to sit with us. Using the Excuse of Alice being his best friend. But by the small glances, he kept sending my way I knew that wasn't the only reason he was here.

This time I managed to smile at him and hold his gaze without getting lost in it.

God! Now that I could see him completely and not just get stuck in his eyes it got harder and harder to stay away from him. And not seem overbearing or jealous. Every lecherous look he got from the other girls in school would make my skin crawl. It took all my willpower to not pluck out their eyes from their faces for looking at him.

As lunch period was done, I wanted to ask him for his number so we could maybe text each other.

But when I tried to speak to him I still couldn't muster the strength to utter a full sentence without ending up as a blabbering mess. So I waited till he was out of sight and texted Alice demanding that she asks him for it.

Finally, I was able to talk normally and coherently. I wanted to see my mate as fast as possible so we could have our first conversation. So Alice suggested that we join her and Jasper for a double date. That way we would be 4 and the conversation would flow more naturally and not seem forced.

After Alice convinced my mate to go out with us. I hurried to my room to get cleaned up and look as best as I can. After an hour of putting a set of clothes on, then changing them for another for various reasons. I was finally ready. I had blue form-fitting jeans on that would showcase my curves with a red frilled shirt at the bottom that I was happy to fill pretty tightly at all the right places. Remembering that I had to pretend that I could feel the cold. I put on a Jean jacket with some red roses on the back. And finally, my favourite part of the outfit I put some limited edition Louboutin heels with a rose stitched on top. Looking at the final result I was sure to leave a great first impression on our first date.
