Asgard, Temple

As Odin lay on the bed, about to enter slumber, Victor and Loki exchanged glances, contemplating their father's decision.

"Father, is there anything else you wish to explain?" Loki inquired cautiously, hopeful for further guidance.

Victor, ever the laid-back one, interjected, "[You can skip explaining to me; I'll just continue fishing.]"

"Loki," Odin began, his voice thoughtful. He wrestled with the decision of whom to entrust with Asgard's future.

"Loki, I acknowledge your capability as an Asgardian and as a brother," Odin continued, his gaze shifting between his two sons. "I entrust the regency of the throne to both of you. It is my hope that together, you will safeguard Asgard during my slumber."

Loki's eyes widened in pleasant surprise, his ambition and desire for power momentarily subdued by his father's trust. However, Victor couldn't help but express his surprise in his own way, thinking inwardly about his capability compared to Loki's.

"Victor, my son," Odin addressed him directly, "while I appreciate your unique perspective and dedication to your own pursuits, I must consider the responsibilities of rulership."

Victor nodded quietly, understanding Odin's concerns. Deep down, he knew he lacked the strategic acumen and ambition that Loki possessed. Despite his humorous demeanor, Victor respected the weight of rulership and the challenges that lay ahead for Asgard.
