Rak's life within Stork town was pretty easy going. He woke up he'd eat some breakfast provided by the inn and then head to the marine base. Then he'd be given his task for the day, which would either be to patrol the streets, or stand guard at some part of the town. But Rak didn't mind, after all he was farming merits, and these tasks were much more effective than those when he was a Chore Boy.
Like this a week passed.
'I am getting like 20 merits a day.' Rak thought in delight, as long as the reward was sufficient who didn't mind putting in a bit of hard work. 'On the other hand its gonna take me like 3 months to upgrade my punch skill.' He sighed as he looked at the system interface.

Rak was trying to punch as much as possible a day, but he'd simply cap out at a bit over 12 thousand. 'Maybe I should be happy, after all I am sure some people wouldn't mind punching a million times if they were guaranteed to have a punch which does much more damage every single time.' Rak rationalised before continuing his walk on the outer part of town.
This had become his almost daily walking route. He could even finish the 10 kilometers running while doing the Patrol task, but he normally left that to the end as if he made up some bull shit excuse and had to run for the entire task it would be quite troublesome.
"The sea is quite clear today." He muttered to himself before looking to the sky. In the distance a large flock of stocks could be seen flying towards the island. Storks would fly in flocks over Stork Town every few days, its in fact where it got its name from. So far Rak had been lucky enough not to be shat on by the storks, so he was quite fond of the birds.
"SQUAWK!"
They soon flew over the village, before continuing their flight toward who knows where, well Rak didn't know anyway. He then continued his patrol throughout the town, it was truly quite peaceful. 'Not like the Grand Line.'
Rak knew he's have to go there eventually, and it'd be much tougher than staying in Stork Town, so he enjoyed his time within the town as best as he could. The man was in no rush after all, he found that reincarnators and transmigrators alike were in too much of a rush.
'As long as you get stronger everyday it doesn't matter if you stay in a peaceful town, because at some point you will have the frustrating and hard things to do, but even those will end once you reach the pinnacle. Peacefully getting stronger is the real way.' This was Rak's idea on the matter but it was mostly pointless, after all he was never going to meet other such entities.
His patrol then continued for a few more hours, and then he was off duty. He ate some dinner that was provided by the inn, and then completed his training for the day before going to bed.
The next day Rak woke up bright and early. He then did some of his punching training before going to eat breakfast. "Yo Charlie, you finally got the promotion?" Rak asked as he noticed the blonde haired boy.
Charlie and Rak were similar in age after all. Rak wasn't sure of his exact age, but he could tell he was around 16, at least physically. Charlie on the other hand was about 17 or so, at least from what Rak could tell.
"Ya, it was tough but I am finally a Seaman Recruit now." Charlie said with some happiness. For regular marines every promotion was vital. While Rak also appreciated his promotions he obviously didn't have the same respect towards the positions. 'Only Vice-Admiral and above are truly strong.' He thought while chomping on his food.
In his opinion every other marine rank was simply fodder. 'And Vice-Admirals aren't fodder just because Garp is hard carrying them.' Rak continued on this train of thought. Regardless of what he, right now he was a true fodder but with time he was sure to become strong, or at least a more dangerous fodder.
After his meal Rak got his task for the day and continued on. His life was truly stale at this point in time, and another week passed yet again.
