Four days then passed after the battle between the Ink Pirates and Gold Tooth Pirates. The remaining members of the Gold Tooth Pirates, out of desperation ran back to the casino and tried to find Gold Tooth so he could lead them out of this mess.
Unfortunately when they did find him, he was already a rotting corpse. Because of this the Gold Tooth pirates were in a mess. They ransacked their own base making off with as much money as possible, the crew was dispersed more or less.
Simultaneously the organ harvesting operations leaked out, sending chills down the residents of Polink's spines. Anyone who had previously pitied Gold Tooth and his crew had no such feelings for them after finding out what they had done.
Naturally after Gold Tooth was confirmed dead another rumor began to spread. A rumor about a mysterious figure, who not only killed Grip, but seemingly Gold Tooth too, and directed their crews to fight to the death. Of course the deaths of Grip and Gold Tooth were vastly different, but due to the timeframe in which they happened and the subsequent evens after each murder people couldn't help but tie the two together.
Change was on the horizon for Polink, that at least, everyone agreed on.

"Hah, hah, hah!" Rak was currently training as hard as he could. His stats had now all reached 65, but he wasn't sure if they'd be enough. The only way Rak could guarantee his victory was if he got his punch to the next level. Unfortunately that was easier said than done. 'After all these days I've only barely hit 327,000.' Rak sighed, it was unfeasible for him to overpower Ink.
Had Ink just been strong, or fast, Rak could counter it with various tactics, but a devil fruit was something entirely different. A devil fruit could be manipulated in a multitude of ways and Rak didn't even know the limits of Ink's devil fruit.
'From what I know Ink can seemingly excrete a black liquid substance, lets just call it ink, it makes sense after all. Then after excreting said ink he can manipulate it to fire it. There should be a range of control for the ink since otherwise, it would make more sense to use a single bullet to kill multiple opponents instead of firing one by one.' Rak pondered.
'Secondly guns are unlikely to be effective. If he knows the opponent has them he can simply coat his skin in the ink. While sure a bullet can still penetrate the ink how effective is it going to be? Lastly I have no way of knowing how strong he is. How much of the merit reward is based on his devil fruit rather than his physical ability?'
As one can see Captain Ink had stumped Rak. While he was alone, Captain Ink had over 200 subordinates, and he had a devil fruit. 'I might as well look at the system shop.' Rak decided upon realising he was currently inadequate.

Seeing this Rak was stunned. 'Talk about useless.' Rak sighed, the Swimming skill interested him but for now it was useless. A sword was likewise useless, as if even if he bought the slash skill it would take him too long to farm it up to an appropriate level.
Bullets were fine, but he doubted guns would work, and anyway, would the bullet be for his current gun or would it be a match to the system shop pistol. And he couldn't even afford the pistol or command so they were useless.
'Buckets of Seawater, what am I going to do with that? Pour it over him?' Rak sighed, from what he understood that wouldn't do much either. Back in his past life he recalled that Oda stated a devil fruit user must be submerged in water for the devil fruit weakness to take affect, so a bit of seawater meant nothing.
'But wait.' Rak had an idea. Using his system he retrieved the vial of poison, unlike usual where it would appear within his hand, this time it appeared about a meter away from him while upside down. Luckily the vial was sealed, so Rak managed to catch it while saving the contents.
"Heh, I know how to win." Rak smiled before feeling a bit of pain in his heart. 'But its gonna be expensive.' He sighed before buying the buckets of seawater, sometimes you gotta spend money to make money.
