Chapter 15 Checkmate

"Hahaha, we're making so much money today." A burly man with a distinct golden tooth laughed. "Indeed we are Captain, but I am still wary of Black Root." A slim man who stood in front of the burly man replied. "Oh Black Root, you think he has the balls to come after me? We've already sufficiently increased security regardless." Them man with the golden tooth declared.

This was naturally Captain Gold Tooth who was currently sat in his office at the top of his building. Due to the ongoing fights within the northern region a number of people had moved to the Western Region, and thus Captain Gold Tooth's profits had significantly increased.

"Alright then Captain, I'll be right outside your room as usual." The slim man said before leaving the room. He was Captain Gold Tooth's right hand man, and was within the top 10 strongest fighters on Polink Island. His name was Ed.

At the same time, Rak and his captive were currently climbing the steps towards Gold Tooth's room. "This is longer than I thought it was." The captive muttered while trying to catch his breath. "So tell me about Gold Tooth, how strong is he?" Rak asked off handedly.

He had a rough indication but he didn't know anything concrete. "From what I know Captain Gold Tooth's expertise is not his physical strength despite what his figure might suggest, but rather his marksmanship." The captive replied off handedly. "But I am not very sure, its just what I've heard."

Naturally Rak raised a brow when he heard this. 'Guns, surprisingly I haven't encountered many gun users despite how common one would think they'd be.' Rak mused as they reached the top of the staircase.

Once there, Rak had a dilemma. 'Do I let this guy go scot free, on the one hand he's been helpful, on the other he's a literal organ harvester.' Rak pondered, before a cruel glint flashed within his eyes. "Open it up and enter." Rak commanded.

Immediately he captive turned to look at him in shock. "....What do you mean? I'll get shot as soon as I enter!" The captive squealed. "Oh but you were fine with letting me enter?" Rak sneered. "No, no, you're much stronger than me why would that matter to you?" The captive replied, in truth he really hadn't been planning for Rak to get shot. He just wanted to get out of this situation alive.

"Okay then, drink a drop of this." Rak said as he pulled out the purple vial of poison. Currently Rak had around maybe 3 usages. "...I guess I have no choice." The captive deliberated for a moment before relenting and consuming a drop of the poison. "Now do what I say or you'll die, I need to administer the antidote within the hour otherwise you'll die."

"..Fine." The captive responded almost crying. "Okay now, enter the room and tell him that I am all the way down in the organ harvesting room, don't try anything funny otherwise you'll die an excruciating death from the poison." Rak warned, before the captive then fiddled with the wall in front of them activating the hidden door. Immediately a golden room came into view, while Rak jumped up pressing his legs against one side of the wall, while his feet pressed against the other side. He had always seen this done in movies.

"The fuck?" Gold Tooth cursed before getting out of his chair. He immediately whipped out 2 pistols which he then used to shoot once at the captive who had rushed in the room. "GAH! STOP PLEASE!" The captive groaned while clutching his knee.

"Hmm? Aren't you from the secret operations unit. Why the fuck are you up here? And why did you use my stair case?" Gold Tooth questioned in anger, one of his guns still trained on the entrance. "A-An enemy has appeared downstairs, I barely managed to escape and wanted to war-n....." The captive tried to explain before passing out from the pain.

Hearing this Gold Tooth's mind began to race, before he breathed out in exasperation. "ED!" Gold Tooth shouted. While his bullet was somewhat loud, Ed wouldn't enter the room just from that as Gold Tooth often shot randomly on occasion but he always limited to one or two shots.

Ed then entered the room and immediately he was alarmed. "An enemy has appeared within the Organ Harvesting Room, I need you to deal with it." Gold Tooth commanded, hearing this Ed looked at Gold Tooth with some hesitation before nodding and rushing down the secret exit.

Fortunately he didn't notice Rak as he rushed down, and Gold Tooth let his guard down putting his guns away and then walking towards the Secret Exit. "I should shut this." He muttered to himself as he approached the exit.

Rak wasn't directly above him, as Rak was above the end of the secret exit, meaning he couldn't cleanly take out Gold Tooth. 'For fucks sake, just enter.' Rak thought as he held form, it wasn't all that hard due to his high stats but Rak would be lying if he said he enjoyed the sensation.

Just as Gold Tooth was about to close the secret exit a loud shout echoed out from down the exit. "CAPTAIN COME DOWN QUICK!" Ed shouted, hearing this Captain Gold Tooth's brows raised as he swiftly withdrew his guns before walking forward, finally entering the secret exit.

'Checkmate.' Rak laughed internally before dropping down, his fist thrusting down at full force with his entire body weight behind the attack. "Crack!" Gold Tooth's skull cracked under the force of Rak's punch unfortunately this didn't kill him in one hit.

Rak had now landed on the ground, while Gold Tooth was dazed from the blow. 'Wha?' Gold Tooth was completely clueless. Using this chance Rak punched the back of Gold Tooth's head sending him tumbling down the steps.
