Reborn As A Dragon Girl With A System

Orphaned at the mere age of seven and thrown out on the streets with no place to go. Kana lived the life of a street rat. She did what she could to survive from digging through the trash and stealing what she could. But even after almost ten years of surviving, her life still ended short. Holding her head feeling slightly dizzy, her lips slowly curled up into a sinister-looking smile as she let out a laugh. "Maybe someone was listening to me after all! I do not know which god heard my last dying wish, but I thank you from the bottom of my heart! I, Nagano Kana, owe you a debt of gratitude." In a new world, reborn as a dragon, Kana will begin her new journey. She will experience many things along her path as she struggles to grow stronger to evolve and survive in this new world. "That's another one!" Kana spun around in a circle, put her left paw on her hip, and gave a V sign with her right claws while winking… It was a strange pose indeed. --- Join my Discord! https://discord.gg/79yyJSD Show your support and buy me a coffee! https://ko-fi.com/invayne Follow on twitter: https://twitter.com/AuthorInvayne Follow on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/invayne/

Tail Slap!

As the sun started to set behind the mountain, an orange hue spread across the sky. Kana trudged through the forest, pushed her way past a thicket, and finally stepped into an open field. "Kana, we are out!" Lysairth let out a sigh of relief. But now she knew they had to do two things: secure some food and a place with water.

"Woah, so pretty!" What laid before Kana was a vast meadow. The grass was short and only went up to her knees, but the field of flowers of all different colors was what caught her eye. Dotted throughout this vast landscape were small ponds that glittered in the sun's light. She could also see where the river came out of the forest and cut a path through the meadow. To someone like Kana, who had never seen such a thing in her past life that was filled with nothing but city smog and brick buildings. This was truly an amazing sight for her. The wondrous array of colors that filled her eyes brought a huge smile to her face.

"It is indeed a beautiful sight." Lysairth also felt the scene in front of her was beautiful. She had not seen such a thing in many long years. "Let's quickly gather some wood and make camp at the nearest pond, over to the left. I can also see some horned rabbits hopping around so you can hunt those for dinner."

"Okay!" Kana was excited. She could now rest at ease without worrying about the three eyed horned bear attacking her. She quickly grabbed a bunch of sticks and also made sure she had the right ones for roasting the soon to be roasted horned rabbit. After which, she walked towards the shore of the pond and cleared out a spot for her to make camp. She placed her firewood and cooking sticks down and went right to work hunting a horned rabbit.

"Kana, horned rabbits are quick, so you will need to know when to attack." Lysairth explained, and to her surprise, Kana was actually listening for once.

"Mm… So I should be as quiet as possible, right?" Kana asked.

"Yep, the closer you can get to them without them realizing you are here, the better your chances." Lysairth knew Kana had one thing going for her. She never exhibited any kind of blood lust or killing intent. She realized this when Kana had hunted the six legged deer without any issue.

In no time at all, Kana was able to secure four horned rabbits. Just like the six legged deer, her prey had no idea she was there until it was already too late. Lysairth was very surprised by this fact. It seemed Kana had a way of hiding her own presence without even knowing she was doing it. One could say it was her own natural ability, something that stemmed from her time as a street rat.

With her prey in hand, Kana went to work skinning them and getting them ready. The entire time her saliva was flowing like a waterfall. Lucky for her, horned rabbits were not the size of a rabbit you could find on earth but more of the size of a medium sized dog but fatter.

With her fire lit, Kana began roasting her first rabbit. She did not mind roasting the horned rabbits one at a time. She actually enjoyed the whole process of cooking them. That was until she heard footsteps behind her.

"Ah!" A voice came from behind. Kana turned to see five figures she had hoped never to see again.

"Geh!" Kana scowled and quickly got into a fighting stance.

"You damn lizard!" Ceilie yelled out upon seeing the lizard who threw rocks at her. "I will have roasted liza..."

*Slap!*

"Ahhh!"

*Splash!*

"Ceilie!"

"Humph!" Kana had just used [Tailwhip] to slap Ceilie into the air and right into the pond next to her. She landed on the ground, did a spin, and gave her usual victory pose while snorting proudly.

The other four members of Ceilie's team stood there stunned at what had just happened. Not a single one of them knew what to say to what they just witnessed. They barely even saw Kana move. All they saw was Ceilie suddenly flying through the air, and the lizard in front of them was doing a victory pose.

"Ahem… Miss lizard… I want to apologize for what happened earlier." Thane, the most responsible one out of all them, stepped forward and bowed his head.

"Hmm? Oh well… Just don't let it happen again." Kana replied, deciding not to mention anything about how the whole thing was basically her fault to start with. She was one to not treat those who showed her no aggression with aggression. Plus, she felt even if all five of them combined attacked her, she could easily win.

"Thanks, I do not wish to ever experience something like that again. We got away this time, but there is no telling what will happen next time. And we only escaped thanks to you." Thane knew if they did not follow the lizard in front of them, they would have lost someone, or all of them could have died.

"Humph! Humans. They are only willing to apologize after using you. Kana, use your baby breath and fry them all!" Lysairth distrust for humans was very strong. Even Kana knew not to trust them.

"I was thinking about it, but now that one of them apologized, I will leave it at that. '' Kana did not like humans, but she was not going to kill them over something she caused. They even apologized for something she had started. Although they did bring the three eyed horned bear to her. They also did not know she was there. So she could not really fault them in any way, and more than likely, even if they did run in a different direction, the three eyed horned bear would have followed her instead, and they could have escaped easily.

"Humph! Fine… I already knew you were a kind soul Kana. But that just makes you even cuter."
