Liberating Force, Pt 5
Back on the de Jardin capitol planet, the Ravens were happily taking a break at their temporary quarters in the diplomatic sanctuary. It was quite similar to the Drogar secure compound, where it was a wide open, verdant space with numerous buildings inside.
However, unlike the compound, this one wasn’t walled or otherwise cordoned off, and the Ravens could easily come and go as they pleased. There were still de Jardin security forces here and there, but they mostly kept the peace, rather than keeping anyone contained.
The sanctuary was large and spacious, and was set among grassy hills and rolling fields. Scattered around were a couple of ponds and fountains, an open-air amphitheater, and a tranquil picnic area that sat alongside a grove of majestic trees.
Birdsong filled the air as fuzzy marsupials lazily nibbled on the grass.
