Stretching after being hunched for a while, Feng Shi yawned and noticed that lunchtime is almost over.

"Ne, let's take a break. I'm starting to feel hungry." She complained pouting slightly.

Cheng Xiu nodded and began to close the books. "I'll just put these away first. I'll see you in our spot. The others should be there already"

However, Feng Shi just took the other books and grinned at him. "I'm not that hungry. I'll help you out, I was the one who needed these, to begin with," She argued and started walking towards the shelf not wanting Cheng Xiu to argue with her.

As expected, he could only shake his head and follow despite wanting to do this on his own for her.

Catching up, he gently grabbed Feng Shi's shoulder with one hand to stop her while the others balanced the books.

"The books are put over that side princess." He informed him while tilting his head to the rows of shelves they had just passed. To be accurate, they have to go through those shelves to get to where the coding books are located.

"Oh," Feng Shi exclaimed sheepishly blushing slightly in embarrassment before turning back while Cheng Xiu laughed softly at her small mistake.

With a playful glare, she nudged him with her side as an admonishment for laughing at her.

"Sorry, sorry" Cheng Xiu apologized for laughing at her but his amused look said otherwise.

"Hey, it's not funny. I just didn't know where the shelves were" She indignantly excused her error. Now, really glaring at him for making fun of her.

As the two banter with each other without malice, a midnight-colored pup who was chasing a butterfly froze.

Sensing his master's emotion, Xiao Wang who was currently chasing a butterfly by the flower bed on his two legs while his front paws were trying to bat the butterfly down, went on all paws and looked in his master's direction. Which was the building currently reflecting the light due to the mirrors.

He had gone outside to play while his master flirts with her man. But sensing her master's current slightly irritated mood, his eyes narrowed.

Without a second thought, he forgot about the butterfly, and the magnificent wings sprouted on his back before he flew towards the third floor passing through the glass effortlessly.

When he saw that the cause of his master's irritation was her lover, he landed down a few feet behind them as they put the books in their rightful place.

Tilting his fluffy head in confusion, he discerned that his master was no longer annoyed and was simply bantering with the other for fun.

Xiao Wang could not help feeling slightly jealous of how much time his master had spent with this stinky hairless monkey instead of him.

Without much thought, he hid his wings and run toward his master.

Sensing his presence, Feng Shi turned back just in time to catch him and hugged the adorable pup tightly in her warm embrace.

"Master, I missed you" Xiao Wang claimed before licking her face in affection.

"Haha, I missed you too Xiao Wang. Did you enjoy playing outside?" She asked as she calmed the energetic pup before scratching his favorite spot behind his ear.

"Yup, I hunted down eighteen butterflies" He reported proudly telling her how he managed to catch the most beautiful ones before letting them fly away but still managed to identify which ones he had caught. As he told her his playtime, his tail kept wagging behind him expressing his joyous mood.

"Good boy, your such a good little hunter" She praised as Wiao Wang had wanted.

"I didn't know that you've acquired a puppy Feng Shi" Cheng Xiu commented coming over after putting the last remaining book in their places.

"Yeah, I got him recently. Cheng Xiu meet my little friend, Xiao Wang" She introduced looking back at him.

Xiao Wang glanced at the man who stole his master's attention from him again before turning over presenting his tummy and tongue out acting cute. "Master, I want tummy rubs too please" He pleaded through their mind link giving her two adorable puppy eyes.

"Alright fine" Feng Shi chuckles slightly before tickling his soft furry round belly as Xiao Wang barked happily, tails wagging faster.

"Isn't he cute?" Feng Shi did not forget to praise Xiao Wang in front of Cheng Xiu which the others agreed with.

"Not as cute and lovable as you," He thought before patting Xiao Wang's head. It was far softer and fluffier than he had expected though but...

"Isn't he a little bit too fat?" He wondered out loud as his buddy is quite round, too round in his opinion for the pup to be considered healthy.

Xiao Wang's eyes widened in indignant before growling at him. He is not fat! He is just fluffy that's all! Looking down at his round belly, his eyes went glassy and if pups could pout he would be doing so. Whimpering, Xiao Wang buried his head in Feng Shi whimpering sadly.

"Master, you won't leave me for being fa- fluffy right?" He asked insecure as he knows that his master also cares about her man's opinion.

"Cheng Xiu! Look what you've done!" She scolded before soothingly caressing Xiao Wang's fur.

"Don't worry Xiao Wang, your not fat. You're just cuddly and fluffy and I think that it's adorable" She comforted the distressed cub.

"Fascinating, it's like he understood me!" Cheng Xiu exclaimed before remembering his mistake.

"Hey, Xiao Wang is it? I'm sorry I didn't mean to insult you. You're not fat just furry and there is nothing wrong with that" He apologized sincerely before lying without integrity.

Xiao Wang simply ignored the man and was claimed down by Feng Shi's warm embrace.

It did not take long before his temper melted away like a snowflake under the summer heat.

Like nothing had happened, Xiao Wang first glanced at Cheng Xiu provocatively as if saying 'my master still loves me the most before going back to acting cute for Feng Shi.

"It is quite temperamental," Cheng Xiu thought to himself but refrained from voicing it out somehow knowing that it won't just be the wolf that he would be provoking if he says anything bad about him.

But thinking more about it, Feng Shi would feel hurt if her pet dies, and he doesn't want her to be sad...

This is quite a dilemma. Cheng Xiu looked at Xiao Wang in contemplation making Xiao Wang's fur stand up at his gaze.

He bared his teeth noticing his deep gaze knowing that this man must be ridiculing him for being fluffy.
