Chapter 2: What a weird day.

The last class bell rang and everyone zoomed out of their classrooms. I'm pretty sure I heard a kid scream in pain. Probably got trampled.

There were three kids in the library including me. I have gotten three paper cuts on the same finger already. Every time I cursed like a sailor and everyone looked at me. The people here are scared of me you could see it in their eyes, but they knew there was no reason to be. Rumors do a bunch it makes them cautious. I know they because the reason more kids aren't in here is that they saw me.

The "nerds" wanted to study so much at the beginning of the year they took their chances and sent me glares. When I looked at the back since I was tapping my finger on the table and sending a glare back they sat a bit away. They noticed my bad mood and I could tell they were scared. So the next day when they were in there before me I just gave them each a candy. I asked the proctor food allergies and what candy they liked, and she got the information for me.

This principle was really helpful. The last one didn't care that I got bullied and beaten up here and there. This one asks me often how I am. I like the faculty here, but I wish I could have a few more friends. It's better than being beaten up, but feeling as if I wasn't there or all alone in the world as bad as it is.

no one really was leaving any more everyone in the library left. I walked outside the rain was still pouring. You could see all kinds of umbrellas. I took a small camera I had in my bag out and I took a few photos.

I loved photography for as long as I remember. I knew what a camera was. I have all kinds of cameras, but this is the only one I'll bring with places. It's a small black camera that I bought last year. It has photos of random things along with some precious ones of my friends from my old school.

I smiled as I remembered that tomorrow my three old friends and I were going out for lunch to catch up. It will be great. I will finally get to talk to more people.

I put the camera away. it was waterproof, but I didn't want to test it. I walked home. It was an hour's walk, but I didn't mind it. I had a car, but I used it only to go places a lot longer away and I don't have time or I have to carry things. As the cold water hit my skin it brought down my body temperature there for a second. I loved it.

I looked at the sky it was light gray. It was predicted to just rain not to storm, so I felt safe. There was a chance of a cold, but I didn't care. Walking in the rain is as calm as taking a walk in the beach with no shoes or socks.

I took a long way home. I arrived home I was home alone. Today my parents had a work dinner, but they were coming to pick me up soon. I didn't have long, so I hurried to my room and got changed.

My parents ran a small business that works with a larger one. It was a meeting type thing, but they were still letting me go because food and my brother was joining. They try to make opportunities the same for us both.

I put on high wasted skinny jeans, a black long-sleeved turtleneck, a black basked graphic t-shirt with a white outlined dinosaur on it. The shirt was a bit baggy but comfortable. It fit the guidelines my parents gave me, gave personality, and covered my bandages. My hair was actually soaked, but I didn't care. It would dry and be wavy, but when we first arrived it would be damp, but still look nice.

I heard my brother pull up to the houses in his car. He probably styled his hair at his dorm and didn't want to ruin it by running through the rain more than he has to. I grabbed my phone and slid it into my back pocket and I ran to my car. When my parents arrived every one pulled out of the driveway and followed them.

We arrived at a nice restaurant. My brother got out of his car and ran for the entrances long with my parents. I walked and smiled sadly at the sky. If you think about it this could be the earth's tears. It's just sad some times. Storms are when it's mad but sad. And acid rain is it when it's frustrating. The thought of that just made me smile.

I walked inside, and I was still dry, just my hair was damper. It was a short walk. The people at the front started to freak out and offer me towels.

One kid near my age said frantically, "Ma'am are you alright? Please take a towel and dry off."

I smiled at him and said in an amused tone, "I'm not that old. And I'm fine it's just some water I'm not going to die."

"I'm sorry," he said refuting to the old comment I made.

I stopped for a moment and said as I looked down respectfully, "It's fine I'm messing with you. I'm sorry that I freaked you out."

At this point, all eyes were on me. The people who were eating were confused as to why I was being nice to him. And the employees were confused as to why I was soaked and not yelling.

"Have a good evening," I said as I smiled at him and walked to where my parents were sitting.

I sat down at the large table a seat in between my mother and me. There were six chairs on each side. The last seat on the left side was both empty. There was an extra one next to me. And an extra on the other side In front of me.

"Dear why did you cause such a ruckus you could have taken the towel," my mother said to me loud enough the others at the table could hear, but it seemed normal.

She wasn't happy with me standing out more than being her child. She wanted to show them that I was disciplined by her and not some heathen they raised. You could tell by the fact my brother and I were heard was the people on the other side of the table also had kids. Get on their good side.

I looked up and around the table to see three men, a woman, a kid my age, and a young boy. The kid my age was the one who was new at my school. The young child who took the seat crosses me he had his eyes smiling at me adorably. I normally don't like young kids, but this one was cute.

I smiled at my mom and said in a respectful tone, "Sorry mother. I just like walking in the rain. I just got a few drops on me. Not enough to need a towel."

She nodded and turned her attention away from me. The little boy smile grew when I smiled at him. He looked about eight.

The two of us sat there politely as we looked at each other, both of us didn't want to Interrupt. You could tell that I was still the baby of the family, just by seeing how similar the young boy and I acted. After the boy and I ordered food everyone was silent and looking at us.

My mom looked at me stressed out and said, "Avery seriously?"

I looked at her with a smile on my face and my father said, "you knew she would do this. She does it every time, and she is almost an adult leave her be."

Spaghetti for the main meal and order your desert then, so they can't stop you when it's time. It's what I always do because they never what to stay for dessert and I finish first anyway. The thing that got on my mom's nerves the most was the fact that the small kid did the same thing with glowing eyes.

I smiled at him and all eyes were on us. And when the food came to the table the small kid's eyes grew happier. They sat down the good he watched me see what I was going to do eat dessert first of my meal. I smiled at him and started to eat my meal. He did the same thing.

The whole time the boy and I never said a word as we ate. The parents the brothers chatted about various other things. Ashton said nothing about the school which I was great full.

The boy finished his meal first and sat there and waited until I was done. When I was I started to eat my dessert, and he did the same thing. I was getting curious glances from the rest of the Ashton family.
