[Johan's POV]
The digital alarm clock on the bedside table chimed the third time, flashing 6:15 PM. Johan hit the snooze button and went back to staring at the blank wall next to his wooden cabinet. He should be preparing for work, but Alden's arm around his waist anchored him on the bed, preventing him from getting up.
Johan scratched his head in bewilderment and slumped back to the comfort of his pillows. "It's so annoying. I need to go to work. But I feel so lazy when I'm with you."
"Then don't go to work," Alden mumbled sleepily against his shoulder. "I never required you to work."
"I don't have millions in my bank account like you. I need to work so I can provide for myself."
"I told you I can provide for the both of us."
"I know that." Johan sighed and rested one leg over Alden's thighs. "But I don't want to depend on you. Who knows what will happen once we broke up. How can I pay my rent next year if I'm broke?"
