Chapter 2: -Childhood- Part 1

4 years after Arinitti's birth, 4 years after Gol D. Roger was executed

The mansion was quiet, without a sound. Completely devoid of any and all lif-

"PAPA'S HOME" Arinitti's child-like voice rebounded through the house. In the yard some birds quickly ascended to the sky in a panic at the loud noise.

"Aggghh, how does she know when I arrive?" The large 20 foot Lunarian asked as he stepped into the house, closing the door behind him just in time for a small blur to slam into his leg. His large hand already patting her head to try and calm her down.

A Lunarian woman, only 14 feet in height but nonetheless tall, at least by average human standards. Stepped in from the adjacent room, the smell of something roasted wafting into the main hall. The woman, with silver-white hair and pale gold accented tips.

"It may be the infamous woman's intuition kicking in?" The Lunarian woman, Orel Minerva, 3rd child and 1st daughter to the King of Orel'Bora. As well as Adia D. Ares' wife.

A groan was heard from the large Lunarian man, "Oh no, we don't need more.." Ares was still patting his daughter, Arinitti's head when she suddenly perked up a bit more and craned her neck to ask something.

"PAPA! When will you begin training me!" Arinitti loudly asked her father with only a volume an excited child could reach.

Ares looked at his young daughter and replied, "When you're older Ari." The Lunarian man patting his small daughter on the head a few times.

An intense pouting session began from the young girl.

Minerva said to her daughter, "Come my little angel, come help me set the table."

This managed to get Arinitti to stop pouting and responding to her mother, "Yes mama." She skipped into the kitchen and disappeared into the dining room to set the table.

Inside the Dining room

The 3 member family was sitting in the dining room, eating their dinner. Consisting of some kind of roasted meat native to Orel'Bora, boiled veggies, and bread with soup to dip in.

The family was silently eating dinner when Minerva asked her daughter, "Ari dear, would you like to go to the marketplace with me tomorrow?"

The question caused Arinitti to start bouncing up and down in her seat, "YES! Please mama!" She was giggling a bit too in happiness of leaving the house.

The Lunarian Man stopped eating, "I'd feel better if you took a guard with you, my precious girls." Ares was a worrywart but not for no reason.

Minerva replied, "Oh please, there's no need to grab a guard for just a trip to the marketplace."

Ares huffed, knowing he won't win an argument with his wife due to her stubbornness, "Fine, no guard but at least bring the butler or maid."

Minerva sighed and replied, "Fine i'll bring Augustus."

All the conversation was watched by Arinitti, who kept looking between her mother and father.

Minerva saw her daughter's plate, "My little angel, you need to eat your carrots."

A pout was seen on Arinitti's face before she continued eating.

Tomorrow Morning, Orel'Bora Noble District, Evangelion Mansion.

Minerva was dressed in a off shoulder sweater and boots, her daughter dressed similarly. A man stood just behind them in a butler-like uniform.

Minerva was adjusting her daughter's clothes before she took her hand. The trio walked down the path, leading to a gate which promptly opened as if by magic. The formation was Minerva and her daughter side by side while the butler, Augustus, was behind them with hands behind his back.

A few minutes of walking the trio arrived at a busy marketplace. Many people noticed them and immediately gave small bows to the Mother-daughter duo.

The marketplace was in the middle of a stone-brick courtyard, with various buildings on the sides and a large clocktower on the north side. The architecture consisted of some kind of silver like bricks. There was various stalls inside the courtyard, the majority selling different fruits or meats. While others sold a variety of furniture, decorations, and Knick knacks.

The trio moved between stalls, checking out the fruits and meats. Sometimes stopping at other stands for Minerva to greet them.

Various people greeted the trio respectfully. It definitely seemed like a lot of people respected Minerva.

Inside the clocktower

Two people dressed in all black clothes and with large black cloaks covering their bodies met at the top of the inside of the clocktower, overlooking the entire courtyard.

Person 1 asked, "Are you ready?", The person had a gruff voice to them.

Person 2 replied, "I can easily kill the Princess here, I doubt the butler or daughter can do anything." The person replied with a much more feminine voice to them.

Beside the feminine voice was some kind of gun contraption.

Person 1 commented, "Good, the distractions will go as planned, when the bell tolls."

Inside the Eldenhold Palace

Ares was hunched over a map of the city, several military officers around the center map as they discussed a certain incident.

A Lunarian came up to the group, saluting before reporting, "Celestial General, Sir, Several civilians have reported suspicious activity throughout the city, people in black cloaks moving. One even said something was moving across his roof."

The entire group paused before turning to the Celestial General, his eyes closed as he contemplated what was happening.

Ares Responded, "Secure the vital areas of the city, and discretely warn the civilians that something is amiss and should stay inside. But be prepared to head to the shelters."

The military officers all nodded, about to begin work when Ares gave one last order. "Also send a contingent to the Marketplace, there's a lot of people there. Including my wife and child."

Back to the marketplace courtyard.

"Mama! My head hurts." Arinitti said while whimpering.

Minerva immediately kneeled down next to her daughter and felt her forehead. "Oh my little angel, you're burning up-."

As she was feeling Arinitti's forehead, a gunshot rang. The clashing of metal on metal happened for a split second.

End of Chapter
