Vice admiral Roxx

Thriller bark, currently a government non affiliated Island. As far as I remember, Gekko Moria took control of the island and made a ship out of it.

But it was never stated that he killed the inhabitants of the island. In fact no one knew what happened to the inhabitants of the island. But I didn't think about it for long. It will happen in the future. So there is no point in thinking about it. For now my main focus will thriller bark.

This government non affiliated Island is famous for it's business of Sake. So it was a natural gathering place for local pirates. It was a small Island where I can search about more information and work out to make some funds for my travel.

Actually I was looking for a crew. After realising that, sailing alone is very dangerous, I decided to pick up a few people who can actually help me in reaching my destination. I was not planning to become a pirate. At least not now. But to reach my destination it was necessary.

And thriller bark will be a perfect place to start. That's why I set that as my next destination.

But what I didn't expect was the huge explosion at the small port in the island.

"This island sure is lively."

Vice admiral Roxx when always confused about his sense of justice. He is someone who always works on logical reasoning rather than emotional views.

As he joined marines and climbed up in the ranks he realised that, Marines necessary to keep the balance of the world. Pirates were running wild in the ocean. And Marines were necessary to keep them in check.

World Government was also necessary, as it with the collection of many Kingdoms. It was necessary for world peace.

But he just couldn't fit the celestial Dragons and the five elders in the equation. They were not necessary. In fact it would be better if they don't exist. Most of the evil deeds that Marine were forced to do is because of, those celestial Dragons. If they just disappear, then there will be no slavery. The poverty in many islands will completely disappear. The world will be a better place. But it wasn't simply possible.

As soon as a marine commodore is considered eligible for officer training, first, he was brain washed to never break one rule. No matter what never go against a celestial Dragon. At least the marines were not completely brain washed to think that the celestial Dragons at the real gods. But the CP agents are the worst.

Really, If pirates are scums of the seas, then the word nobles are the worst scums of the world. And Marines, they are just the lap dogs of those worst scums.

That was the reason why Roxx has decided to kill himself, rather than get captured. He would never sacrifice his life just to make a scum immortal.

He has just a single wish left. He just wanted to protect her granddaughter. Kureha was young. But she was not naive. Aspiring to be a doctor, she was smarter than her peers.

So Roxx knew that Kureha understood their situation. But that only made him feel worse than ever.

After fleeing from their previous Island, they went towards the thriller bark. It was safe place compared to any Government affiliated Island.

In his youth, Roxx could have easily taken on any admiral and escape easily. But with his increasing age, it was becoming harder for him to use his devil fruit powers, with each passing day.

Op Op fruit demanded high stamina consumption from it's user. But at the age of 60, which shouldn't be far from his prime age, he looked like an old man in his eighties.

The main reason behind this was that the Op Op fruit not only consumed a lot of stamina but also the user's life force.

So currently, Roxx was in no condition to fight a vice admiral let alone, an admiral. So his only option was to flee.

The grandfather and granddaughter duo were searching for an inn to stay the night.

But in a rowdy place like thriller bark, which was a hotspot for pirates and outlaws, it was quite hard to find a decent place to stay.

But when they were searching inside the city a huge explosion went on near the port.

*Boom*

...

"Moshi moshi... It's admiral Roma speaking."

"This is fleet admiral speaking.

Roma have you reached the thriller bark yet ?"

"Not yet. But I will reach there soon enough. It will take me around one and half hours to reach their on ship." Roma replied to the fleet admiral. For some reason after getting the post she wanted the most, she was starting to dislike the promotion.

"Then fly their. I want you to capture that bastard Roxx as soon as possible.

It is not just the matter of capturing the Roxx. Our marines have suffered a great loss recently and our image in front of the world government is not good as before. This will be our chance to prove ourself. Catch Roxx as soon as possible.

-kachak !"

"Lazy bastard ! *Sigh*" this was one of the main reason why Roma didn't like the fleet admiral at all. But now you only thing she can do, is to follow orders.

She reached the island of thriller bark in just 10 minutes. The genius use of mera mera no mi, as well as her mastery over haki, is what made her an admiral.

After landing on the port, she walked in. She decided to ask the description of the ex-vice admiral Roxx to the locals to make her task easier. But she forgot to took off her cloack of justice.

Obviously a place which was full of pirates reacted violently after they saw a marine.

And when she took them down rather quickly, an idiot threw inbox full of dynamite towards her.

"*Sigh* These idiots !"

*Boom*
