The Share Market

After the meeting, Oliver was very happy, when he got out of the meeting room suddenly without thinking he started to walk straight to the investment banking department.

The employees of the investment banking department were all busy with the stock market at that moment and all eyes were glued to the computer screen. Within the next half an hour, the stock will be closed so they will have to decide soon which share to buy.

Oliver entered and easily spotted Emily sitting in a workstation by the window, she was having a cup of coffee. Oliver directly walked toward her and stood behind silently without any expression on his face. Half an hour left for the stock market to close and even the most experienced staff in the whole investment banking were sweating profoundly thinking of the outcome, however, Emily was sitting there relaxed and drinking her coffee.

Emily had a mirror on her desk so when Oliver stood behind her she immediately saw him. She smiled to herself and turned pretending to be surprised then said respectfully standing up straight, "Mr. Knight Good morning."

"Did you studied the stock market?" Oliver's face was completely expressionless, giving nothing away.

"Yes, Mr. Knight. I did." Emily said very confidently. Although, the people around Oliver were always very scared of his cold personality but for some reason, Emily never feared him. So she was always very relaxed around him.

"Then tell me which company's share we should buy today?"

"Shares from company C. It has to be C. It will definitely go up." Emily said with more confidence than any experience share market trader.

"Why do you think so?" Oliver frowned and asked. When coming to Emily Oliver looked around a lot of people in the investment banking department and saw they all wanted to buy shares from company A. But when he looked at the share market this morning, he actually wanted to buy the share of company C, so Oliver was very surprised when Emily said C instead of A.

At this moment the Shares of company A was a bit ahead of the other companies so everyone wants to buy A company's share but A company is a newspaper company whereas company C is a beverage company. They have a reputation to sell their drinks at concerts to the performers which usually boosts their sales in a flash and causes their shares to rise up.

"There is a gossip, a star concert is going to be held in the city next week which will increase their sales."

"Buy C shares," Oliver ordered and nodded happily. Oliver was surprised and happy both with Emily's ability to understand the share market to this extent at such early age. He could tell she was not new to this at all, in fact, she has been paying close attention to the share market for a while.

The employees in the investment banking department heard Oliver saying to buy shares from C, they instantly clicked their mouses one after another and bought a large number of shares.

Half an hour's waiting time was very long. Oliver stared at the stock board waiting for the stock to close, however, after only 15 minutes his phone started to ring. The familiar phone ringtone made him smile as he took it out ad picked it up quickly.

Oliver went to the corner to receive Ava's call, "Hey baby, you woke up?"

"Oliver, yes I am awake. Are you busy?" Ava asked with a soft smile but she was a bit cautious afraid of disturbing him.

"No, not at all. What are you doing?" Oliver looked outside and asked gently.

"Well, I am out with my mother, she is buying me dowry," Ava said happily as she looked at Lily who was driving the car at a steady pace.

"What are you talking about? Baby, we don't need dowry. Is our villa short of anything? Don't run around like this, stay home and take some rest. Did you forget what the doctor's said?" Oliver was afraid that Ava will tire herself again.

Ava knew Oliver didn't lack anything but this was a custom how can she tell her mother not to buy her dowry. Besides the Green family has to have some face in front of the Knights. If she was married without any dowry then how she is going to face her in-laws?

"Oliver, I know. Don't worry, I'll be fine with my mother." Ava said with a smile.

"Ok. Listen I informed mom about our wedding, she was very happy. So I think it's time to let our parents meet. I'll pick you up in the evening today and let's go to a restaurant for dinner, together with our parents, Erika, Arvin, and my grandparents." Oliver said with a happy smile.

"Today! Ok, I'll tell mom and dad."

"Alright, call me if you need anything," Oliver said with a spoiled smile.

"I will," Ava said and hung up the phone happily.
