"It was an era taken over by a single online game, the ""Second World."" The ""Second World"" offered a vast amount of classes and skills... Micheal, our protagonist, reincarnated back into this era and realized he had a few bugged passive skills that would put him as one of the best. [Passive skill: Damage Reduction: When you receive damage from an enemy, the damage will be reduced accordingly to the reduction percentage. Skill lasts for 10 seconds and takes 10 seconds to cooldown.] [Passive skill: Damage Reflect: When you receive damage, the damage will be reflected accordingly to the reflection percentage.] [Passive skill: Damage Multiplier: When you deal damage to an enemy, the damage you dealt will be multiplied.] [Passive skill: Sword Attack Nullifier: When you attack an enemy with a sword, the enemy will kneel in front of you and catch your blade with their bare hands.] [Passive skill: Priest: When you suffer from damage, automatically heals yourself.] [Passive skill…] [Passive skill…] ......... After reading through all his passive skills, he suddenly realized how invincible he now was. Even though he didn't possessed a single active skill, he could still triumph over everyone else with his passive skills. One day, when the ""Second World"" mysteriously merged with the real world, monsters and divine beings began to invade Earth… That was when Micheal realized that his passive skills have also given him the power to kill these divine beings…"

Chapter 1Second World

In a parallel world.

AD 2161.

In a simple yet tidy room, an 18-year-old youth was lying on his bed as he silently watched the television.

The old television in front of the bed continuously reported the news as it produced static "bzz bzz" sounds.

"Next, we will broadcast news regarding an online gaming channel!

"December 31st, 2161. Today is the annual... bzz bzz... Second World talent test day. It's no exaggeration to say that this day will determine... bzz bzz... the fate of all the students of this year.

"The principal of New York City's No. 1 high school has said that this year, the school is expected to produce... bzz bzz… S-grade talent students.

"As everyone knows, last year, in the year of 2160, New York City's No. 1 high school had... bzz bzz... produced S-grade students. Their talent is The Blessing of the God of Fire. Under the protection of the federation... bzz bzz... They studied under famous teachers and have become the focus of the federation.

"I wonder if they will appear again today... bzz bzz... The favored ones. Let us wait and see."

The youth on the bed stood up lazily, looked at the old television before him, and fell into deep thought.

Although the television constantly produced slight static noises, the general content of the broadcasted news could still be heard clearly.

The news sounded like an ordinary news broadcast, nothing special could be heard from it.

Though to this youth, it was an extremely shocking big bang news.

"This year... is 2161?

"I've transmigrated???"

The youth lowered his head in confusion and quietly stared at his hands.

Fair, young, and strong!

His gaze followed his right hand as he gradually raised his hands.

Sunlight shone in from outside the window, and through the gaps between his fingers, warm rays landed on his face.

'Warm...

'It's real!'

Mike was utterly convinced with his transmigration.

He had transmigrated to 30 years ago!!!

After he clarified his current situation, Mike narrowed his eyes slightly.

100 years ago, which was 2060.

Second World appeared suddenly. No one knew how this game came about.

People over the age of 18 could mentally log in to the game anytime and anywhere they wanted. Despite that, people still preferred logging in at home. After all, once they were logged in, their bodies in the real world would become defenseless.

Although the appearance of such an "online game" was already surprising enough, what came after was even more shocking.

Everyone gradually discovered that the abilities in the game could actually be substituted into the real world!

Though with power came disasters.

During those years, the order of the world became extremely chaotic.

Murders, robberies... or simple terrorist attacks could be seen everywhere.

The human government immediately enforced military suppression, but no obvious results could be seen within a short period of time.

It lasted for a full five years!

The order of the human world recovered gradually, though the cost was that the human population dropped to a mere two billion.

More than half of the human population died in that catastrophe.

Second World became a taboo, and the world formed unified laws where no one was allowed to log into the game.

However, was it something that could be banned just because it was forbidden by law?

To be honest, it was difficult.

Because logging into the game was way too convenient!

All you needed was a thought to log into the game, then you could secretly increase your strength.

Therefore, although the crimes related to the Second World had decreased, they never disappeared.

Five years later, the federal government realized the severity of the matter.

Sneaky villains could ignore the law, secretly log into the game and increase their strength. On the contrary, law-abiding and honest citizens would remain as ordinary people.

If this went on, once they reached a critical point, disasters would erupt again.

However, the justice camp led by the federal government could not suppress them by force.

Hence, a revolution occurred.

The federal government changed the law. Not only did they allow people to log into the game, they even set up schools globally to train students.

At the same time, they set up special organizations to focus on training talented students.

Through this, those who gained abilities would be controlled.

This kind of change had benefited the world, and the world gradually recovered.

However, good times were short-lived. 50 years later, Second World actually updated its server!

The monsters of the devil's den had obtained the ability to invade earth, and the monsters were restless and eager to make a move!

Every once in a while, powerful monsters would appear on earth and attack humans. In more severe situations, there would even be a beast tide, which meant that a large number of monsters would invade earth at once.

In order to defend against the invasion of monsters, humans had to have sufficient strength.

In everyone's heart, the importance of Second World had once again risen by a large margin!

Ordinary people would activate their ordinary talents and live a mediocre life.

Meanwhile, once the favored ones activate their powerful talents, they would be able to reach new heights in their lives.

It could be said that the real world was inseparable from the Second World.

Intergalactic conquest with an AI

Rex was just another slave in the corporate machine, a faceless office worker under the shadow of one of the galaxy's powerful megacorps. His life was predictable and dull, an endless cycle of meaningless reports and fluorescent-lit monotony. That was, until that day.... When a new world was discovered on the outskirts of the galaxy, Rex, like countless other low-ranking employees, found himself dragged into a contract clause he’d barely skimmed years ago. The megacorp ordered him and his coworkers to pack their lives into a transport pod and leave for the unexplored planet. Their mission? Establish a colony. Mine resources. Make the company richer. There was no choice, refusing meant ruin. At first, everything seemed manageable. The days were grueling, the nights cold, but progress was steady. The colony was coming to life. Until the excavation team struck something. No one knew what it was at first, a buried hive, a forgotten ecosystem, or something ancient and dangerous. Whatever it was, it unleashed hell. Swarms of enormous, chittering creatures erupted from the ground, their jagged bodies blotting out the sky. The colony fell into chaos. Screams echoed through the air as the bugs tore through everything in their path, walls, machines, and people. Rex barely survived. Bloodied, broken, and pinned beneath the rubble, he should have died there. But in the pitch-black silence of his fading consciousness, a voice spoke to him. Cold. Mechanical. Otherworldly. "Do you wish to live?" When Rex woke, he was no longer the man he’d been. His body was no longer human flesh and bone but something far more alien. His skin shimmered with living metal, his mind infused with the power of Cleo, a mysterious AI from a long-extinct, robotic race known as the Kaelzars. Cleo’s presence pulsed through his thoughts, guiding him and transforming him. He wasn’t just alive. He was reborn. But survival came at a price. Rex was no longer a pawn of the megacorp; he was something more dangerous, something they couldn’t control. As Cleo’s intentions began to reveal themselves, Rex found himself standing on the precipice of war, not just with the bugs but with forces far greater than he could have imagined. This was the beginning of a journey through blood-soaked battlefields and treacherous alliances. Along the way, Rex would encounter allies, brilliant, flawed, and unpredictable, and enemies whose ambitions were as sharp as their blades. These weren’t disposable foes, easily crushed by an overpowered hero. They were cunning, relentless, and human in the most terrifying ways. But then again, in war, who can truly be called a villain? Let me first state, I could only handle reading 15 chapters. Let me also state that the grammar, spelling, and clarity of the writing was excellent. That is the besst praise I can say about the author. The author's style of designing the world is not bad, the overall plot isn't really new, but it is not directly copied either. The characters are very cliche and generic, and they behave so predictably that it's like watching a poorly scripted/acted drama. There are so many cringey aspects of the main character like his name "God Slayer" to his inner thoughts; making him an "I am so awesome, you trash should kiss my feet" kind of character that doesn't actually say it out loud because he wants to be "low-key" and "mysterious". The author also can't seem to make up his mind about numerical values, as he will say "Armor Value: 50" then say, "That is 75 armor", or he will give a value for damage and go back and forth between 20 and 30. The overall writing style also doesn't properly describe combat or any scene details, it feels like the only substance is the characters peacock displays of his reputation with the village inhabitants, or him thinking about how awesome he is compared to everyone around him because of his op skills. Oh yeah this is an OP-super character that breaks any kind of balance around him with Turing any passive skill he finds to a max value; Bonus Exp 5% become Bonus Exp 200%, chance to block physical attack 5% becomes 100%, return 10% damage back to enemies becomes 200%. Its OP and it's just going to get worse. Can't read the story due to lack of interesting story or decent immersive descriptions. Just feels like a play-by-play of a boring game log.
