Chapter 23 Quirk Apprehension Test 1

Aizawa silently came to class and said, "It took you 8 seconds-"

"Chotto matte!!!"

*Bam*

They heard a scream and the door suddenly opened revealing a tall boy with heavy breathing.

"Huff* sorry for being late. Someone freaking locked me in the toilet…" Rex said.

All the class who heard this chuckled. Aizawa hid his smile behind his scarf.

"Go on your seat," Aizawa said.

Rex nodded and went to seat right in front of Momo. Both of them nodded at each other.

"It took you 8 seconds to shut up-"

"Actually it's 16 seconds now. Thank you." Rex said.

"16 seconds. Time is precious, rational students would understand that. The same goes for you, Rex." Aizawa.

Rex silently nodded.

"Hello, I am Shota Aizawa. Your homeroom teacher." Aizawa said. All of them were stunned looking at a tired looking man.

'So this is Shota Aizawa. In person, he is weird. His name is also after a porn genre, hehe.' Rex made a weird face holding his laugh.

Aizawa noticed Rex's face and ignored him. "Wear these immediately. And then shove off to the P.E ground." Aizawa said taking out a school tracksuit and went out.

Rex sighed and then felt a tap on his shoulder. He saw his neighbor girl in the same uniform. "Oh hey, Kyoka. I didn't know you are in this school."

"Same goes for me. Let's talk after school." She said and went to the changing room.

"Do you know her?" Momo asked.

"Yeah, she is my neighbor," Rex said.

"I think we should hurry. It is not nice to keep teacher wait." They heard a boy with glasses. "I am Tenya Lda. By the way."

"Rex Kinzoku. Let's go." Rex said and then went to the changing room.

Momo felt a tap on her sleeve and saw the same petite girl.

"You know Rex?" Kyoka asked.

"Yes. He was on a recommendation test. My name is Momo Yaoyaorozo."

"Kyoka Jiro. He is my neighbor. He didn't tell me that he will be attending this academy." Kyoka said with a little sad expression.

"Yeah, he is a little secretive. I guess you wouldn't even realize him right?"

"From his nerdy attire? Yeah, he looks so different. What is his quirk?"

"You will see."

"Man you look tough!"

Rex saw a boy with red hair. "Yeah, my quirk requires a strong body," Rex said. His body was without a scar with visible muscular cuts and fair skin. He has healing ability so every time he gets injuries or cuts, he got healed immediately but he has to consume a large amount of food. "Rex Kinzoku."

"Right, Eijiro Kirishima. My quirk also requires me to train harder." Eijiro said hardening his hand.

Rex knocked on his skin and nodded. "Yeah, it's hard," Rex said with a chuckle.

"Your quirk is similar?"

"Yeah, you will see."

"A quirk apprehension test?"

"What about the ceremony?! And Guidance meeting?!" Ochaco asked.

"Heroes don't have time for those things." Aizawa said then continued, "You understand the school's reputation for freedom on campus right? Well, that freedom goes for us sensei too."

Everyone was speechless.

Aizawa then started to explain. "Softball pitch, standing long jump, 50-meter dash, endurance running, grip strengthening, sustained sideways jumps, upper body exercise, and seated toe touch.

These are activities you know from middle school naturally. Physical tests where you were barred from using your quirks.

This country still hasn't gotten around to standardizing those sorts of records or keeping track of average performance levels. Well, that's negligence on part of Ministry of Education." Aizawa explained

'Negligence for 50 years. Yeah, a rational person will find it hard to believe but no balls to go against it.' Rex knew what the Ministry of Education were just lazy asses.

"Bakugo, how far could you pitch softball in middle school?" Aizawa asked a blond hair guy with an annoyed face.

"67 meters," Bakugo answered.

"Try to use quirk this time around and don't exit the circle," Aizawa said and tossed the ball to him.

Bakugo grinned and started to warm up. "You got it." He threw the ball from his hand using a quirk. "Die!!!"

Like a rocket, a ball flew in the sky with a trail of fire leaving behind.

'Die? Maybe his personality is shaped by his quirk. Also, he has good quirk but lack of control over his emotion.' Rex thought. He knew that being in school was better than him becoming a villain. He also decided to observe everyone's quirk because it will help him if he were to go against them in any kind of match.

"Before anything else, you should know your capabilities. This is the rational way of thinking that will be the basis of your hero foundation." Aizawa said showing the result of Bakugo. It was 705.5 meters.

"Awesome! That looks fun!"

"705 meters? It's unreal!"

"Achoo* Damn, someone is must be thinking about me."

Rex sneezed then said but felt his classmates stares with Jiro chuckling.

"It looks fun?" Aizawa said holding his laugh then continued. "You were planning to spend three years here. Having a good ol' time? What happened of becoming heroes?" He then looked with narrowed eyes, "All right then. In that case, the new rule: The last one with least points will be judged hopeless and will be expelled immediately."

Res sighed and shook his head. He then looked at a green-haired boy who was fidgeting all the time. 'How did he get here if he is so scared?'

"Our freedom means we dispense with students as we please! Welcome to the department of heroes!" Aizawa said with a sadistic smile.

'Damn he must be feeling good. I remember I also expelled the whole class of university in my previous life.' Rex thought about his previous life.

"Getting expelled?! That's just unreasonable! We tried so hard to get here…" Ochaco retorted.

"Natural disasters, massive accidents, ego mad villains. All kinds of calamities can happen when we least expect them. Japan is now positively drenched in 'unreasonable'. And it's our job as heroes to be prepared and restore all of this.

"Yeh." Rex nodded and everyone looked at him weirdly with Kyoko puffing her cheeks and Momo shaking her head.
