24 Chapter 24 Quirk Apprehension Test 2

The first test was about 50 meters dash. They needed to run on track as fast as possible.

"Rex Kinzoku," Aizawa called.

Rex nodded and went to the starting line. His competitor was Ida Tenya. Blue circuits appeared on his legs and formed a big blue hoverbike with a helmet on his head.

Vroom*

He rolled the accelerator to the maximum and pulled the handle to levitate.

"Whoa! He just made that cool looking bike."

"Within just a second!"

"It is a hoverbike. It has no wheels and uses anti-gravity mechanism as a means to move." Momo explained.

"Really? That's so manly!" Kirishima said.

"How did you know?" Kyoka asked.

"Of course. I have ridden it." Momo said proudly then widened her eyes and blushed with a soft cough. Kyoka gave a silly smile and nodded.

"Start!" Aizawa signaled.

VROOOOooooommm…..

Within just seconds, he completed the lap.

"Ida Tenya 3.4 seconds

Rex Kinzoku 2 seconds." Aizawa showed the results.

Rex didn't disassemble the hoverbike and drove it to the rest of the classmates. "Cool right?" Rex asked Kyoka.

"Yeah." She nodded.

Rex then dissembled it and stood with the rest of them.

"Man, it was so cool. You can make machines?" Kirishima asked.

"Does it run on electricity?" Another blond guy asked. Midoriya and the rest also decided to pay attention to Rex's quirk. "Denki Kaminari, by the way."

"Yeah, I can make machines Kirishima. And no, it doesn't run on electricity Kaminari. It uses electromagnetic power as fuel which my quirk can produce. It's a little complicated." Rex explained.

They thought that his quirk is very interesting which can make a hoverbike. They thought that Rex's explanation was a little bland but they didn't want to disturb him if he didn't want to explain.

"You were faster than my engine quirk. What is the maximum speed of your hoverbike?" Ida asked.

"200 miles per hour. If I put more pressure than I could be faster." Rex stated.

"200 mph. It is 3 times faster than me!" Ida and the rest of the classmates were astonished. Average car speed could go around 140 mph but 200 mph? It was surreal but they can believe it. After all, he completed 50 meters race within just 2 seconds.

"Tch. Showoff…" Rex who heard Bakugo, didn't say anything and ignored him. He saw the result of the rest of his classmates. He found them with interesting quirks but he thought that some of them have powerful quirks while some have potential.

Then it was time for the grip strength test.

"Sensei, I think this machine will get destroyed if I use my machine," Rex said to Aizawa who thought it was possible.

"Use your actual grip then machine. I want to see the result with both." Aizawa said.

Everyone also got excited to see his machine.

Rex nodded and holds the machine and put all his force in his hand.

"What?"

"Impossible!"

"Even without using machine…"

His classmates who saw this thought that he was something else.

"Now use the machine," Aizawa said. "Grip machine can hold weight up to 1 ton."

Rex nodded then with the same blue pattern circuits; he made a lesser size of Smack Hands to put his one of two fingers on the grip machine. He put some force and-

Crush*

"…"

He immediately crushed the machine. Everyone thought that he was unfair.

"All right next." Aizawa decided to call another name and giving a new machine.

"Your quirk is very versatile," Kirishima asked.

"Yeah, that's why I have to train my body like this, or else I couldn't lift it all," Rex said.

He noticed that green hair kid was struggling to compete. He decided to talk to him. "Hey, green guy?"

"Y-yes…" Midoriya panicked.

"Relax. I am just wanted to talk. I am Rex Kinzoku." Rex said.

"N-nice to m-meet you. My name is I-Izuku Midoriya." Izuku said with a stutter. Rex thought he was weird but thought that he was just nervous.

"Sup Midoriya. So you have some kind of strength quirk?"

"Yyyyes kind of…" Midoriya said averting his eyes.

"Okay adios." Rex smiled and walked away. Rex thought that something was fishy about him but didn't want to get involved in his problem. If he is secretive then so be it.

*Sniff sniff*

He smelled a familiar scent and turned around to see a blond hair figure for a millisecond. 'Is that All Might?' His smelling senses were high and he could easily sense All Might for two reasons. One, he knew All Might's scent and two, his charismatic aura.

'Come to think of it, that Izuku kid has the same scent as All Might.'

As far as it didn't concern him he didn't care. He thought about talking to his mom if All Might and All for One are related.

All Might who hid immediately when he saw Rex turned around. He forgot that Rex had the same high senses as Bisha. He knew that Rex was intelligent and clever. He hoped that Rex was not able to find out that All Might passed his quirk to a weak-looking kid.

The next test was standing long jump.

Every student became excited to see Rex's other machine.

"Is he gonna make boots?" A pink looking girl asked Momo since she knew about Rex's machine.

"Yes." Momo nodded.

Rex formed massive Punk Busters on his feet and used just 1/4th of power to jump high in the air covering a distance of 137 meters. He then came back using a hoverbike.

"Did you use your full power?" Aizawa asked.

"No. I would be out of the training ground." Rex said.

"Then use full power as much as you can. Jump to there." Aizawa said pointing at the vast ground of 1000 meters. "Can you lend without any injury?"

"Yup. Even if I fall from 1000 meters, I will be fine." Rex said.

'Monster!' Everyone thought. Bakugo thought that he was exaggerating.

Rex transformed his Punk Busters in full size and jumped using hydraulic pumps using 85% of its power.

Boom*

He jumped hundreds of meters in the high and landed far away with a minor fissure. He then came back using a hoverbike.

"So what's the distance?" Rex asked.

Aizawa showed the screen.

"550 meters!"

"Is that full power?" Aizawa asked.

"No. More than that and hydraulic pumps will get damage."

Aizawa nodded.

Midoriya thought that he had very high competition judging the strength of Rex. He also thought that Rex's machines look similar to the mechanical monster that appeared 10 years ago in Tokyo but then shook away the idea. He has to pass the test.

'Cheh. I could blast him with my explosion.' Bakugo thought.

"Do you have names for your machines?" Kyoka asked. Other students were also concerned including Aizawa since calling all of them machines, was misleading. Heroes got to name their stuff.

"Hmm. I call my hoverbike 'Rex Ride', boots 'Punk Busters', and gauntlets 'Smack Hands'. Sorry not good with naming." Rex scratched his head.

"No. I think that's cool." Kyoka said. She looked at Momo who was looking at Rex from time to time with rosy cheeks. She knew that something was going on between them but she ignored them.
