Larva vs Ant

The caves went in many different directions. They were all well-lit normally Jacob would want to go where it had more light meaning there were more essence crystals, but he wanted to find Genling roots to cleanse his body.

He wandered down the eerie path with nothing but a piece of essence stone and the sense of touch to guide him. He walked further and soon the sound of death shrieks and the battle was distant. He was walking more confidently now.

*shshshs*

"What the fuck?" Jacob heard some shuffling noise and jumped out of fright, he held the light toward the noise that revealed some ants taking away larvae. There were 4 Ants and they were all biting it and carrying it away. The Ants were small, small enough to make Jacob sigh with relief.

"Where are they going with the little guy? Should I save him?" It was just a thought but he didn't want to get involved with every little thing. He left them and walked further down the dark path. He soon started walking into some soft soil, "Nice this is a good sign, these plants grow in places with a lot of minerals and dark places. This should be good enough."

What Jacob never wanted to admit was that he was searching through faecal remains. In reality, the walls of the caves were all stone. There was no soil, he was just telling himself this because he was in denial. The Genling root would normally be located in soil with a high mineral count but that didn't mean it couldn't grow under special conditions.

He even ate these roots so he would have a hard time accepting what he did. He searched 'soil' trying to find the genling roots and he found none. He didn't think anything of it, It was weird for him to do something so rare. So he was forced to go further into the cave systems. He checked his system to see his mission progress.

It wasn't much longer till he got his payout for his hard work. He moved forward with high spirits. After travelling through many other different sceneries with only him being able to see a few feet in front of him. TAs he walked the surrounding view became increasingly brighter and easier to see.

Jacob wondered about this because it didn't greater his chances of finding Genling roots. He cautiously trekked forward, when he heard squeals from the distance. The plethora of weird noises that he heard from the caves, was not surprising for him anymore.

The squeal was almost like a pig being slaughtered, he hurried himself to see what was happening and peeked around the corner. He was curious, but still too weak to be brainless.

It was a dead-end, but not entirely. The was chocked full of essence crystals, it would be a blessing to any warrior but it never made Jacob feel anything but a disappointment. The loud squeak rang out again and Jacob's attention was snapped.

"What the hell could make a noise like that? This is definitely no ant" Jacob cracked his neck further, but soon he saw an ant's appendix come out of the wall closest to him. He thought the noise was further but they were just muffled.

Jacob took his head back and hid behind the corner. He took a peak, the ant was larger than Jacob, It was roughly 2 and a half metres, pulling something out of the hole. It was having a hard time, its legs were gripped on the ground fighting whatever he was fighting.

*squeeeeeeal*

The Ant pulled viciously and finally, he pulled out what he was fighting. It was a large larva around 3 metres. It was large and almost classified as a super creature. It was a heated encounter with the ant, but it was losing.

"How is it losing? It can't attack?" The larvae may have been larger but it was losing the encounter. Its skin was thick but it was bleeding around the neck. The Ant seemed to want to drag it away but the larvae were not budging. Every time the Ant came forward it squealed in fury.

He walked around and bit him all over. It would not survive much longer with all the green blood it was bleeding. "This is gruesome, but this is how the world really is" Jacob didn't plan to intervene, he just watched.

The Larva fought furiously, it flicked its body and tried to bite the ant with its short pincers that were on its plate. The Ant was very agile and it was able to back away quickly. It used this to its advantage to hit and run, the larva speed paled in comparison.

"He is as good as dead, there is no way for it to win, One weakness can kill you if it's exploited enough" Jacob took note of the cruelty of nature around him.

The larva began to move slower as it lost more blood. His reactions were much slower and the ant was pulling it away. He squealed but it wasn't enough to save its life. It eventually stopped moving. It looked like it gave up.

The Ant continued to pull it away whenever it wanted. Then it made its first mistake. It bit a hold onto it head to pull it away. Jacob was surprised, he too thought this was a mistake, but the larvae did nothing.

"Is it dead?"

Jacob wondered for a second until the larvae spurted harsh toxic fluids into the big eyes of the Ants. The Ant flew into a fit trying to wipe off the harsh toxic fluids from its eyes.

*kreiieiiiek*

The Ant gave a death shriek as it was being burned from its eyes. He scrambled around the cave, it looks like he had been possessed. He soon stopped and only twitched.
