After watching the conference from the terrace adjacent to the Hero Public Safety Commission's headquarters, Kaina was in Izuku's embrace.
"Come Kaina, there's someone that needs our help," said Izuku as he nudged Kaina who was in his embrace.
"Who?" asked Kaina.
"I'll explain it later. We need to hurry. That person has suffered a lot already. Be ready to kill anyone who comes in between," said Izuku.
Kaina nodded as she stood up from Izuku's embrace and prepared herself.
In Osaka, Eri, a small girl with pale blue hair and big, scared eyes, was kept in a dark, cold room. The room had a metal table with straps and shelves filled with scary-looking medical tools. Kai Chisaki, also known as Overhaul, was responsible for her suffering. He was the leader of the Shie Hassaikai, a group of villains.
Kai was always calm and collected, wearing a crow mask and gloves. He treated Eri like an object, not a person. His goal was to use her quirk, Rewind, to make quirk-suppressing bullets. These bullets could erase a person's quirk permanently.
The torture started with Kai grabbing Eri roughly, and dragging her to the metal table. He would strap her down tightly so she couldn't move. Eri would cry and plead, but Kai never showed any mercy.
He would then use his quirk to dismantle her body, breaking her down into pieces. This process was excruciating, and Eri would scream in agony.
After he had taken what he needed, Kai would use his quirk again to put her back together. The process was repeated over and over again.
Sometimes, Eri would be left in her broken state for long periods, feeling nothing but pain and fear. Kai believed this would teach her obedience and stop her from trying to escape. The room would often be filled with her cries and sobs, but no one came to help her.
Kai's subordinates would watch but did nothing to help. They were afraid of him and believed in his twisted vision. They helped keep Eri locked up and ensured she was always brought back for more experiments.
Eri was given no comfort or kindness. She was fed just enough to keep her alive and was often left alone in the dark, cold room.
Eri's spirit was crushed. She felt like a monster because Kai had told her that her quirk was dangerous and that she was cursed. She believed she was the cause of all the suffering, which made her feel even more hopeless.
The repeated torture made her numb, and she started to lose hope that she would ever be free or happy again.
This relentless cycle of pain, fear, and isolation was Eri's life with Kai Chisaki. She was a prisoner, a tool for his cruel experiments, and a child robbed of her innocence and happiness.
Kaina and Izuku stood on the rooftop, the cold wind whipping around them as they prepared for their mission. Kaina's face was determined, while Izuku's eyes were filled with a cold fury. Izuku learned about this location and Eri from the files he had taken from them.
An innocent six-year-old girl was being tortured by villains, and the Hero Public Safety Commission did nothing. This made him angry, and he decided to get rid of Kai Chisaki immediately. He couldn't let that innocent girl suffer more than she already had, only because she had a quirk she couldn't control.
They had seen too much suffering, and they were determined to put an end to it.
"Remember, no mercy," Izuku said, his voice low and firm. "We get Eri out of there and end Chisaki's reign of terror over her once and for all."
Kaina nodded, loading her rifle and checking her gear. "Understood." She was debriefed about the situation, and she wanted to save Eri as soon as possible.
The two moved swiftly, shadows in the night, making their way to the hideout of Kai Chisaki. The building was heavily guarded, but that was no obstacle for them.
They reached the perimeter of the hideout, and Kaina took out the first guard with a silenced shot. The man dropped silently, and they moved in closer. Izuku phased through the walls, scouting the interior, while Kaina took out any guards that posed a threat from the outside.
Izuku reappeared beside Kaina. "There are at least twenty men inside, heavily armed. Chisaki is in the basement with Eri."
Kaina's eyes narrowed. "Let's go."
They breached the entrance, moving with lethal precision. Kaina's rifle barked out shots, each one finding its mark with deadly accuracy. Guards fell one by one, barely having time to react before they hit the ground.
Inside the hideout, chaos erupted as one by one, guards fell, and communication was lost. The Shie Hassaikai members scrambled to defend their base, but they were no match for Kaina and Izuku.
Izuku moved like a ghost, his intangibility allowing him to pass through walls and floors, striking from unexpected angles. He incapacitated enemies with swift, brutal efficiency, leaving them unconscious or worse.
Kaina advanced methodically, her rifle never missing a shot. She was a force of nature, her eyes cold and determined. She switched from her long-range rifle to a short-range gun as they moved deeper inside, cutting through the hideout's defenses and leaving a trail of bodies in their wake.
They knew the Eight Bullets, Chisaki's elite guards, were waiting for them. The Eight Bullets were formidable, each with unique and powerful quirks. But Kaina and Izuku were prepared.
The first to fall was Shin Nemoto, who tried to use his quirk, Confession, to force them to reveal their plans. As he opened his mouth to speak, Kaina's eyes narrowed. Izuku had told her what his quirk could do and acted swiftly. She raised her rifle, aimed, and fired in one smooth motion. The silenced bullet hit its mark before Nemoto could utter a single word. He fell to the ground, silenced permanently. Kaina didn't even break her stride, continuing forward with cold precision.
Next was Deidoro Sakaki, whose quirk, Sloshed, could disorient people. As soon as he activated his quirk, Izuku continuously used his lag teleportation, making sure not to stay in a single place or be visible to him. This constant movement kept Sakaki off balance, unable to focus on either.
Kaina and Izuku moved too quickly for Sakaki to react. Izuku appeared behind him, delivering a swift punch to his gut, causing Sakaki to double over in pain. In the same instant, Kaina aimed her M416A and fired. The bullet pierced through Sakaki's left eye socket, ending the threat instantly. They moved on, focused and unrelenting.
Tengai, with his Barrier quirk, tried to protect his comrades, but Izuku phased through his defenses, delivering a knockout blow while Kaina's bullet found its mark on his throat.
Toya Setsuno and Yu Hojo, both powerful fighters, were next. Toya's Larceny quirk and Yu's Crystallize quirk made them tough opponents. However, Kaina's sharpshooting and Izuku's strategic strikes overwhelmed them.
As Toya tried to steal Kaina's weapons and Yu hardened his body with crystals, Kaina unleashed a hail of bullets from her M249, filling both their chests and ending their resistance.
Soramitsu Tabe, with his ravenous quirk, attempted to devour anything in his path. Izuku dodged his attacks effortlessly, moving with swift precision. Kaina aimed her AWM and took him down with a well-placed shot, the bullet making a clean, fatal hole in his solar plexus.
Rikiya Katsukame, whose energy-sucking quirk enhanced his size and strength, roared in fury as he charged at them. His immense form barreled forward, shaking the ground with each step. Izuku, agile and focused, darted around Rikiya's powerful swings. He targeted Rikiya's muscles with precise strikes, puncturing key points to weaken his immense strength.
Rikiya, now staggering from the debilitating blows, tried to grab Izuku. In a swift, coordinated move, Kaina stepped in. She turned her hand into DBS Shotgun, moved directly in front of Rikiya, and without hesitation, placed the gun inside his mouth. With a thunderous blast, she fired, instantly blasting open the insides of his brain and finishing him in one shot.
Kendo Rappa stood in their path, fists clenched, ready for a fight.
Izuku dashed forward, aiming a punch at Rappa's side. Rappa blocked and countered with a powerful punch. Izuku phased through, reappearing behind Rappa and landing a kick to his back. Rappa staggered but quickly recovered, swinging around with a backhanded punch.
Kaina took the opportunity to act, switching to her Uzi and firing at Rappa's legs. Rappa growled in pain but didn't stop, his attacks relentless.
Izuku phased in and out, landing quick blows to distract Rappa. Kaina switched to her M416A, aiming for precise shots at Rappa's arms. The bullets hit, causing Rappa to flinch but not falter.
Izuku saw his chance. While Rappa was distracted, Izuku phased through his next punch and reappeared before him, delivering a powerful punch to Rappa's chest. Rappa staggered back, gasping.
Kaina fired at Rappa's knees, and he fell to one knee, his strength failing. With a final burst of gunfire, Kaina and Izuku neutralized him, leaving Rappa unconscious on the ground.
They moved forward, determined to save Eri.
Finally, Hari Kurono, Chisaki's right-hand man with his Chronostasis quirk, tried to slow them down. But Izuku's unpredictable movements and Kaina's deadly aim brought him to his knees.
With the Eight Bullets neutralized, they reached the basement, where Chisaki was waiting. He stood in front of Eri, who was strapped to the metal table, her eyes wide with fear. Chisaki's calm demeanor was gone, replaced by a twisted snarl.
