Chapter 42: First Step Towards Robot Army

Trask looked up at the new entry hoping to save him from his misery but to his unfortunate surprise the man with a weird mask just kept looking on and did not try to save him.

[A/N: The mask looks like the hollow mask]

Law watched Mystique torturing Trask for all his crimes. She was about to continue torturing her even longer but Law stopped her and warned her "You should already kill him. Their backup would arrive soon."

After hearing his words, Mystique ended Trask's misery.

While torturing him, she cut herself a little.

"Hmm, You are bleeding there Mystique. You should be careful." Law said to Mystique while wiping the blood of her hand with his handkerchief.

"Thankyou" She said to which Law nodded but she couldn't see the smirk on his face which was hidden by his mask

"Now let's get the devices which identity the mutants and destroy this place." Law said as they both search the base for the devices.

Law sneaked in Trask's office and gathered all the data in it including the designs for the sentinels. Although it didn't have the main data required to make it strong i.e. Mystique's dna. But he had already acquired it.

He couldn't wait to experiment more on these robots and make them even stronger than their original counterparts.

With that both Law and Mystique left the base.

"How are we going to destroy the base?" Mystique asked

Law snapped his fingers causing the various grenades/bombs which were being suspended in the air in the base to drop causing an explosion destroying the entire base.

Law looked at the beautiful sight and said "Art is really an explosion."

Mystique was confused at this comment but she didn't have much time to think about it as Law teleported both of them to the jet where Gambit has already tried to calm down the mutants but they were still agitated and scared.

As soon as they saw their saviour Mystique, they finally calmed down.

At this time, Mystique asked them whether they wanted to fight for their mutantkind and change the world and join her team or they would want to live peacefully with a 'mutant friend' of hers Charles.

Two of them decided to live peacefully while one hot headed mutant joined Mystique in her cause.

'Poor choice' thought Law

"I would drop you and Gambit along with these two mutants to Charles mansion before taking off myself." Mystique said

"No need. We have our own ride." Law said smugly before a fighter military helicopter appeared out of no where behind him.

"Hmm, I would have to redesign it a little so that it doesn't look a military based helicopter." Law said after looking at the helicopter.

"Are you insane for taking the military helicopter? What if they track you with it?" Mystique shouted at Law angrily for his recklessness.

"Don't worry about that, I have already taken out the trackers and taken sufficient precautions. Anyways I will be off the backup is already 30 kilometres from here. Be sure to deposit my payment as soon as possible." Law said as he teleported himself, Gambit and the two mutants into the helicopter before taking off.

Mystique was surprised by his sudden departure but she recovered quickly and too set off before the military finds her.

When Law reached near Charles mansion, he just teleported the two mutants inside the mansion not wanting to deal with the mind fucker. He then took off towards their home while using his powers to hide the helicopter.

'I can't wait to work on these robots.'Law thought to himself excitedly

----Scene Change----

--Back to the now destroyed secret military base --

General Stryker along with his special team made up of mutants arrived at the scene. The team included Blob (Fred Dukes) who had

Superhuman Strength, Agent Zero(David North) with excellent marksmanship and enhanced Reflexes, Bolt who had the ability to manipulate Static Electricity and Sabertooth.

They looked at the destruction of their base.

Stryker solemnly ordered them to look for any survivors or suspects.

After searching the entire base, they came back to report their findings to him.

"No survivors sir. Everyone is dead. The entire base is dead. We found a dead body which is most likely Dr. Bolivar Trask." said Agent Zero

"Damn it. What about the mutant identifying device and data about project SENTINEL?" Stryker asked

"Devices have been taken as we can't find any traces of them. Everything that stored the data about the project is destroyed including the backup data." Zero replied

Stryker gritted his teeth at that "Any suspects?"

"The captain stationed here had send us a encoded message along with a video." Zero said to which Stryker asked him to show him the video.

Stryker along with his entire military unit first listened to the encoded message which translated into "Strong... Very Strong... Don't engage... Be careful"

"Looks like they encountered a very strong mutant team. Maybe Magneto's team." assumed Stryker but his beliefs were shattered once he saw the video.

It contained Law's fight from start to finish which included barging into the base alone, dodging hundreds of bullets, surviving grenade explosions on his body and destroying tanks and helicopters.

Everyone was shocked to see the powers of the mutant as well its versatility.

"Do we know who this is?"

"I believe he is the mercenary and doctor who goes by the name Death Surgeon or just surgeon. We tried to give him false missions to ambush him but he never accepted our missions."
