Chapter 37: Second Mission

General P.O.V

After training for the day, Law asked himself different questions relating to the future, his future foes, allies, his research etc.

"Looks like I was worrying for nothing. My actions as Black Mask have not affected Peter's story." Law said as he was worried that the actions of him as black mask would have stopped all crime and there would be no criminal for Peter's development.

As he was thinking about this his phone buzzed.

"Ohhh, finally a mission." Law said excited at the prospect of his second mission.

"Hopefully this would be interesting."

[ Mission: Find and eliminate the kidnappers of my son

So the mission was basically to rescue some rich kid who was kidnapped by someone unknown. The most probable suspect was his father's company competitors. Law had to find the kid and kill the kidnappers and also give the name of the conspirator.

"Hmm, I would have to go to Los Angeles for the mission. I should also take Emma on the mission to make the mission more easy for me. She would also be free from work today."

All the details of the mission were in the attachments along with the photo of the kid.

As Law was having breakfast with Emma and Gambit

"Emma, Would you like to go on a mission with me to Los Angeles today?"

"Hmm, Would I get a hero costume for myself?" Emma asked

"We are not heroes Emma. But yes I have prepared a costume for you." Law said

"But brother you are a hero to me. Now show me my costume." Emma said excitedly

"Boss can I come too? I would be bored alone here." Gambit asked

"Maybe on the next mission Gambit." Law said as Gambit sighed

"Brother hurry up show me my costume!" Emma said

Law showed Emma her costume which comprised of a white bodysuit, white cape and a white mask which were all made up of bulletproof material. There were bracers that were attached to both of her hands. There were bracelets attached to it which were for offensive purposes.

It was like Black widow's bite.The two shaped bracelets can deliver powerful electrical discharges. Each bracelet is marked with blue lights from electrical capacitors and electrical wiring that appear when activated and allow their wielder to electrocute enemies by making contact with a pair of electrical probes.

Law would have added more things and would have made it better if he had better materials like vibranium.

Emma was very happy to see her costume and got ready for the mission.

"So what should be my hero name?" Emma asked

"White Queen" Law said

"Cool" Emma said as both her and Law took off for the mission and reached Los Angeles.

They reached the mansion of the one who gave the mission.

"Mr Davis, We have accepted your mission. Now give us details from where your son was kidnapped from and who else was with him" Law said to a middle aged man with a huge belly

The man looked at the two weirdos with weird costumes. He didn't have an option to contact police for help so he made. a bet and contacted these mercenaries. He said "Are you sure you can rescue my son? This is not a joke."

"Don't worry we would find your son by today itself. Now give us the information we asked for."

"My son was kidnapped when he was returning after meeting his friends. There were two bodyguards with him. They both died and the driver was injured by a bullet but he is safe. Not many people knew about my son's visit to his friend, so I don't know how they managed to track him down." Mr.Davis said

"Where is the driver? We would like to ask him some questions" Law asked him to which he replied that he was admitted in a nearby hospital.

Both Emma and Law reached the hospital room where he was admitted "Emma, Time for you to shine"

Emma read the driver's recent memories.

"You were right brother. He was given some money to give them the location of the kid and also to take a bullet so that it doesn't look suspicious. He only knows he is in some warehouse in some area but not the specific warehouse." Emma said after reading the driver's memories

"Hmm, I would easily find him if you point me to the location. Good job my dear Watson"

"Heyy, I am Sherlock!" Emma said

"Surely you are, Now let's go." Law said as they both reached the general location of the warehouse where Law used his observation Haki to find the kid.

"Found him"

Law and Emma arrive at a desolate warehouse, the sound of crashing waves and creaking metal filling the air. The kidnappers, await them inside. Law, never one to shy away from his sarcastic wit, cracks a joke.

Law looked at the kidnappers from the window "So, they are the entertainment for the evening? Should've brought popcorn."

Emma who didn't like to see Law joking in serious situations said "Focus, brother.We need to save the child and prevent him from becoming a hostage."

Law said "Right, right. Serious face on. But Emma you underestimate both your and my powers. Normal humans and even most of the mutants doesn't stand a chance against you. As for me, I could count the people on Earth who can pose a challenge to me on one hand."

As he said that he opened a ROOM.

The kid bound with ropes appeared besides Law along with the two kidnappers who were shocked by the sudden scenery change but were knocked out by Law.

"Mission complete" Law said smirking at Emma

"I will get the information about the master mind to give to Mr. Davis." Emma said

With this, Both of them completed their mission and returned home.

[A/n: I know it was kind of a boring chapter but I just wanted to point out that they would do missions outside of marvel plot too. I wouldn't write a chapter for them though.]
