Marvel: Starting from the Bottom

"Transmigration." Ah, such an interesting concept. Many dream about being reborn in a world filled with heroes and villains. But not me... Thrown into a world where Gods walk among mortals, I will do everything in my power to survive. Stealing, robbing, killing, manipulating? I will do them all. I will be the one to survive until the end. Heros, Villains, Eternals, Deviants, Gods, Demons... SCREW THEM ALL!!! This is my story and I will make sure that everyone gets that right! I am Marcellus, a mutant who started from the bottom. [Pat reon.com/Greedyfrog] [Disclaimer: Other than my MC and the OCs, I do not own anything used in this fanfiction.]

Talk with Strange and Betty's Mission.

"I… won't even bother asking as to how you got the Soul Stone." Strange rubbed his temples at the seer sight of the orange gem floating before him.

"It will be a bigger pain to explain. So, yes… I am not going to explain either." Markus said as the gem vanished inside his pocket storage.

"And the holder?" Strange asked. "Without that, it is not possible to use the stone."

"It will take a few weeks."

Strange nodded. "And… what about the final sorcerer?"

Markus took a deep breath. "That's the reason I am here." He stared at Strange. "It's about the sorcerer."

Seeing Markus becoming serious all so suddenly, Strange asked. "And do I know this sorcerer?"

Markus nodded while correcting the Sorcerer Supreme.

"It's a sorceress and yes, you know her."

'A woman? Agatha?' Strange thought. 'But she is not strong enough to deal with an infinity stone.'

"And no, it's not Agatha." Markus said. "It's someone more… dangerous."

Now, this was where Strange grew anxious. He knew that Markus had a habit of dealing with dangerous beings but what he feared the most was involving someone like that while he was working on the Soul Stone. This made the situation ten times worse.

"And do you mind telling me her name?"

Markus looked at Strange. "It's… Morgan."

"Pardon?"

Strange believed that he misheard the name.

"I think I heard something that I shouldn't have."

"No… You heard exactly what I said." Markus frowned. "I know she is dangerous but she is our best bet." He sighed. "I chose Morgan le Fay."

Strange was unsure whether to laugh or to cry. Markus had said something so ridiculous that it made him grow a headache.

"You know what she did right?" Strange asked, making sure that the boy in front of him knew about the person that they were dealing with.

"Killed the greatest sorcerer of her time, mind-controlled half of Europe and nearly succeeded in her plans of world domination." Markus recited. "Yes, Stephen… I know who Morgan le Fay is."

Strange stared intently at Markus before letting out a sigh. He slowly closed his eyes and his body started to float.

"By the Eye of Agamotto, I wish to see Morgan!"

The pendant that hung on his chest glowed green as his body started to convulse violently.

Markus started at the rapidly paling Sorcerer Supreme in amusement. "You alright?"

Strange suddenly opened his eyes and stared at the mutant in worry and confusion.

"Did you… free her already?" He asked, hoping the boy would say no. But to his absolute horror, the boy nodded.

"Yes, I did."

"Why?" Strange asked as he searched for Morgan with his Eye of Agamotto.

"Don't worry, I have made a contract with her." Markus said. "A magical one."

Hearing this, Strange closed the Eye of Agamotto and stared at Markus. "What contract?"

"I free her and she enchants the holder." Markus said. "Simple. But don't worry as I have been keeping track of her every movement."

"You do know that she cannot be trusted right? Besides me, she is currently the strongest sorceress in this world. And you just unleashed such a powerful being without discussing about it with me."

Markus shook his head. "You can defeat her… Strange. And I believe you have forgotten my powers."

In the blink of an eye, Markus teleported the two of them to Romania— while hiding their presence.

Strange frowned as he saw Morgan talking with her followers.

"I can kill her, Strange. You do not have to worry. And no matter what she does… she cannot outsmart me." Markus revealed. 'The fact that I can read her mind while she can't gives me the biggest advantage.'

"You will not kill her." Strange warned. "We will seal her back once she completes her part of the deal."

Markus shrugged but it didn't mean that he was going to listen. He knew that Morgan was not a friend and unlike Selene who wanted immortality, Morgan was obsessed with world domination. So, there was no way that he could let her live in the future.

"And how did you free her?" Strange asked in confusion.

"Champion of Space, remember?" Markus laughed as they teleported back to Kamar Taj.

Strange shook his head. "I forgot that you could do that. To this date, I haven't been able to figure out how you became a champion."

Markus smiled at Strange's confession. "Don't worry about it. It confuses me just as much."

While Markus was busy discussing about Morgan with Strange, Betty was on a mission on Markus' behalf.

He warned her that the mission was dangerous… maybe even out of her ability. But he had still entrusted her with the mission and she was not going to break his trust.

Her mission was to locate a dark sorceress by the name of Tina Minoru. That's all the information she had… along with a warning.

'Do not let her find your presence. If she does, you are as good as dead.'

That was a terrifying statement and she believed every single bit of it. Markus loved making jokes but he never joked when it came to such missions.

She was tasked with finding Tina Minoru as she possessed a certain staff that Markus wanted at any cost. But apparently, there were restrictions on the staff and certain conditions were required to be met before a person was able to use it.

But even with the bare minimum of information that she had, Betty was able to find Tina's location. At first, she thought since the woman was Japanese, she might be in Japan. But it turned out that she was in Glendale city of California.

She and her husband had created a secret base in the underground district of Glendale.

'Now, I hope that they don't move by the time I inform Markus.'

Sorcerers were impossible to understand. One moment they would be talking with you and the next moment they would be in another country.

But while Betty knew that the staff was special, she had no clue just how special it was.

It was a terrifyingly powerful weapon— one of the world's strongest.

The Staff of One.

A staff so powerful that it could rewrite the fabric of reality. But every single one of its possessors was an idiot. While the staff provided unimaginable power, it had a major drawback.

One spell could only be casted once from the staff. At least in one language…

To cast the same spell again, the person had to use another language. Tina had spent most of her lifetime learning different languages and she was still not satisfied with the results.

However, Markus had already figured out a way to solve that issue. One that was so simple yet no one ever thought of.

And that's why he sent one of his best comrades— Betty to the job.

After all, she was his right hand.
