Chapter 23: Awakend

A/N - Author's Note

Yoshi: Impressive, you have proven that you are worthy to learn {Surge} but there is one last thing you must do

Tozuki: Another thing?! What is it...?

Yoshi: The last thing is that I must remove ever bit of Maho from your body, 2 realm energies cannot co-exist in your body at the same time without fatal consequences

Tozuki: I will do this on one condition, if you answer me two questions

Yoshi: What are your questions?

Tozuki: Alright first, are there ranks to Surge and not just Leviathans and secondly is Surge stronger than Maho.

Yoshi: To your first question, yes there are and I will teach you the 19 ranks of Surge, and for your second question, Maho grows quicker but Surge has no power limit, whereas Maho can only reach a certain level of power on it's own.

Tozuki: Alright, remove my Maho

Yoshi's eyes glowed bright as Maho was shot out of Tozuki's body, Tozuki began to cough up blood and keeled over onto the ground. Tozuki bit his lip to prevent himself from screaming as his lip began to bleed as well, he began to roll on the floor in pain as the ship began to rock very heavily.

Yoshi: Now that that's completed, you have a void in your heart, a large void where your Maho used to be, so now I can insert a large amount of Surge into your body, this will be much more painful than removing your Maho, are you ready?

Tozuki: I'll get stronger by any means necessary, even if it means unimaginable amount of pain.

Yoshi: After the Surge enters your body I will immediately put you back in Earth-Realm so you do not wake the beings below the water

Tozuki nodded his head, Yoshi's eyes became a bright green as a beam of Surge shot right into Tozuki's chest, his eyes began to bleed along with his nose, blood began to leak from his entire body until Yoshi finished using the beam and created a portal under Tozuki, sending him back to *Kusanagi Forest*.

Tozuki stood there with his arms crossed, he still felt a massive amount of pain but he tried to control the Surge that was rapidly traveling through his body.

Kanjiro: Oh! There you are Tozuki! I've been looking for you for 2 whole days-

Kanjiro saw Tozuki bleeding and the entire area around him stained red from the blood.

Kanjiro: What happened?!

Tozuki: N-N-Nothing...

Kanjiro: Huh?

Tozuki: N-Nothing Happened...

Tozuki took a step forward but fell face first into the blood stained grass, unconscious.

Kanjiro: What the hell happened...

*2 Day Later At 7AM*

Tozuki woke up in a cold sweat, he looked around the room to see he was in a hospital room, Kanjiro was sleeping in a chair in the corner of the room. Tozuki noticed he had bandages covering nearly his entire body but he was completely healed.

Tozuki ripped of his bandages and noticed a locker in the corner of the room, he opened it to see a hospital gown which he quickly put on.

Tozuki In Head: I shouldn't wake up Kanjiro but I need to leave to the *Star District*, I guess I'll just leave a note

He looked around the room and found a notepad on a table beside the hospital bed, he found a pencil beside it and wrote.

'Heading to the Hero Coliseum, I'll be back in a few hours'

He set the note down and opened the window, he charged up his Surge and jumped out of the window, he wasn't nearly as fast as before but he was still able to run at 1,000 Miles Per Hour.

Tozuki In Head: When I was asleep I had a dream where Yoshi told me about the 19 stages of Surge, what were they again uhhhh oh yeah!

Tozuki In Head: From what I remember Yoshi gave me enough Surge to be double Nuclear rank, which is around Double Bronze in terms of power and capacity.

Tozuki ran up a building, he flipped of the edge and landed on a lamp pole, he pushed off the pole and ran through a building under construction, jumping off the edge onto an empty crane he jumped high into the air.

He flew through the air and broke past Mach 3, a few minutes later Tozuki landed on a tall building, he looked up to see a floating coliseum, it was made of titanium and quartz.

Tozuki: I've never seen it in person, it's amazing! Now, time to get healed!

Tozuki crouched down and jumped up with a burst of Surge, he landed through a small opening in the ceiling.

Tozuki: So it is true that the *Star District* is the most futuristic place in the world...

Tozuki walked through a long hallway, until he felt a strong presence ahead of him, he ran at full speed until he reached large circular room, it was at least a kilometer by a kilometer big. He looked around and saw The Legendary Healer, she had jet black hair with green eyes and she wore a black dress.

Tozuki also saw to her left was someone who looked to be a teenager, he had blonde hair and shiny lime eyes with a smug grin and he wore a black royal garment. Tozuki walked over to them, he had a blank expression on his face and took as much time as possible to make them wait longer.

Tozuki: Hello, I am Tozuki Kozo, the person who is going to be healed today.

???: No, you won't be healed today

Tozuki: Excuse me?

???: Did I stutter?

The Legendary Healer: This is the person who will beat you today, his name is Prince Lloyd Pizu III

Tozuki: Oh the prince, I bow in your honor

Lloyd: You are an insignificant peasant, I cannot even sense your Maho.

Tozuki: Don't worry about that, shall we begin?

Lloyd: Such disrespect, I must put you in your place

The Legendary Healer: Alright, Lloyd, make sure to win

The Legendary Healer: 3...2...1...Start!

Lloyd took his royal garment off, he wore a black suit underneath, he held up 2 fingers and shot a green beam of Maho. Tozuki held his arm out and the Maho entered the opening in the palm of the mechanical arm.

Tozuki In Head: Yoshi said I can't have 2 divine energy's in my body, but my mechanical arm doesn't count as my body, I still have a small portion of my Maho in here!

Tozuki created an orb of surge in his right hand and a orb of Maho in his left hand, he mixed the 2 together as crackles of unimaginable power shot out from the orb, Tozuki grew the orb in size and was going to throw it at Lloyd but he was nowhere to be seen. Tozuki was hit in the back, he quickly turned around and slammed the orb into Lloyd, but strangely Lloyd dispersed into smoke.

Lloyd fell from above and kicked Tozuki's head, he then put his right hand in a gun motion and shot a beam of Maho at Tozuki, which was absorbed. Tozuki attempted to use the 'God Eye' technique but with Surge, which succeeded.

Tozuki: This Is 'Meta Eye'
