Follow Your Heart

Lana sat down at her desk and started consuming herself in her work. After a while she looked at the clock and saw it was time for her lunch break. She went downstairs to the employee cafeteria to get her lunch. She got her lunch then went an sat an empty table in the back. As she was eating Hao Zheng came and sat down at her table, "Hey Lana."

When she saw Zheng she realized that she didn't even tell Zheng about her leaving the party so suddenly, "Oh my god Zheng, I am so sorry that I left so suddenly." Zheng smiled at Lana, "That's ok I'm just glad to see you right now." Lana and Zheng had a short conversation then Lana went back to her office to continue her work.

While she was working she got a text from Meilin,

[ I'm back in town want to meet up for some drinks and catch up?]

'Sure text me the address and time, I'll meet you there.'

Meilin texted Lana the address to the bar she wanted to go to. When Lana looked at the address she recognized it because it was the same bar where Zhengs party was so she knew how to get there. While Lana was working one of her fellow employees dropped off paperwork that needed to be handed to Yifeng. Lana then realized she and Yifeng haven't had any interaction since this morning.

Lana got up and walked to the door and as she was about to knock on it Yifeng opened the door. Lana jumped because she wasn't expecting him to be there at that moment. "Sir i was just about to come in. These are some documents that need your approval." Lana gave the documents to Yifeng then as she turned around to walk to her desk Yifeng said, "We have to go on a business trip tomorrow so pack for a week. We're going to a private island." After he told Lana that he walked past her. Lana was confused of what just happened, then she realized she had to pack. Lana went back to her office and finished all her work. After she finished she texted Meilin telling her she was on the way to the bar.

AT THE BAR

When Lana arrived at the bar she saw where Meilin was sitting she walked up to her and gave her a hug. "I've missed you so much!" Lana said while hugging Meilin. When they broke the hug Meilin looked at Lana and said, "I've only been gone for two days you can't survive that long without me?" Meilin asked teasingly Lana thought, 'You have no idea.' Lana order herself a margarita.

Meilin took a sip of her drink then turned and faced Lana, "So what's been happening while I've been gone." As Meilin said that Lana tensed up thinking what happened over the last two days. Lana face turned pale and she looked at Meilin and said, "Oh nothing important...." Lana moved her gaze from Meilin trying to distract her mind. Meilin gasped, "Oh my god, what happened you have to tell me everything. We're best friends. Tell me." Meilin looked at Lana with a stern gaze and she knew that she could only tell her what happened. Lana told Meilin what happened from her being Yifengs assistant to her and Yifeng having a one night stand. "Oh and we also have to go on a business trip just us on a private island. What should I do Meilin?" Meilin was froze as she was just trying to process what all Lana told her. Meilin looked at Lana and said, "I don't know about this one Lana. Your going to have to figure this one out by yourself. But I'm sure your going to figure it out. But all I got to say is listen to your heart don't let that mind of yours make you miss out on something that can change your life." Lana thought about what Meilin said and wondered if she should actually listen to her feelings.

After Lana and Meilin caught up they left the bar and Lana went home to pack for her business trip.

NEXT DAY

Lana got up early and did her morning routing and today she wore a knees length flower sundress with white sandals. Since she woke up early she made breakfast. She made eggs with toast something light because they were flying. As she was eating she got a text from Yifeng,

[Im down stairs.]

'I'm on the way down.'

Lana put her dishes away in the dish washer then she got her suitcase and her purse and headed downstairs. When she made her way outside she saw Yifeng leaning against his car. Yifeng walked over to her and got her suitcase then, he then proceeded to open her door for her. Lana gave him a thank you then got in the car. After Yifeng put her suitcase in the car he sat in the driver seat then they headed off to the airport.
