In the mind of an NPC

After reincarnating into the past as an NPC, Girisia was faced with two options, either fall into despair and continue to barely survive in the lowest drenches of the society or make a stand and find out who played this ugly game with his life. Now, if destiny is to be challenged, there should be nothing wrong in using the immortal resources that come in the form of Players. After all, "A hunter cannot be blamed for hunting a prey that willingly served itself." ***** Read my other work called "Jealous Nerd vs The Immortal Army". The story of an unlikely manipulative hero without shame or care for the world. Born with a vulgar mouth and equally cursed ability, the immortals will regret meeting him. If I have to say, he is polar opposite of the MC in ItmNPC.

1.11.2 The truth about Anomans is out - Part2

It has been four days since the player on planet Taurus and Danav learned about the classes. But unlike the players on Taurus who were only given the basic information about classes and ways to obtain them, the group on Danav obtained all the required material for a class up. The only thing stopping them from upgrading was reaching the required basic level of 10.

ProfessorOAK: I am the group leader of a Canadian-based Guild, Maple Syrup. The first guild to obtain Class knowledge. I have come here to answer some of the most common questions about the Class and how it works. So ask me anything.

X**END**X

Oak originally didn't plan to expose much of the information on the class to get an advantage over their peers as his guild members suggested and secretly recruit good seeds into his guild. But his intense desire to make his rival guild leader Mayfly feel jealousy.

So, against the will of his guildmates, he still started an AMA.

JuicyBoy76: I can't join your guild as I am already part of one, but I am ready to pay 5k $ for your class knowledge[price negotiable], tell me where to meet on the map. We can progress with our negotiations from thereon.

JarogoTheJargonSlayer: @ProfessorOAK How does the beast imprint work? You must at least have an idea because NGL, sounds pretty cool.

GrannyRussia: It seems the game is not as unfair as we thought, the players on that barbarian server suffered much for a reason, it's easier for them to acquire the Class knowledge, unlike us who need to contribute to a faction... I hate this.

WizardOfTheCoast: @GrannyRussia right you are, half the "mortal" population on our shit planet doesn't even know anything about magic. Hell, they don't even care when we do player things like other NPC's on your server do. I have started farming as many others are doing, maybe this is a lot better. Who needs to be a spell spamming mage when you can grow crops and see them get eaten by insects…. Fucking hicks… don't even know of insecticides!!

The players on Prenia had an easier time than the rest of the players on other planets, but it had its problems.

The Pugilist system on Advaran was tightly controlled by selected people and considered as their legacy. Hence the pugilist was divided into various schools of teaching and a player needs to find a master if they want to become one, but with their bizarre player like action and being poor, most of the hidden masters or pugilist school will kick them out as in their mind being a pugilist is all about the honor that the players lack.

As for the mages, none of the players have even met them, all the Magus system users live in places hard to approach and the information controlled by them is even harsher as for them knowledge is power, and asking for this precious knowledge is as good as asking for the key of a mage's bedroom.

Noobsman64: OP, why did you hide your trait section? Do you mean to say you possess a trait and an OP one at that like that streamer asshole?

Noobsman32: ^^…. What did you have… I have a Taster trait and I don't even know how to use it? Maybe we can talk a bit.

Noobsman64: Da fucc are you behind me and why da fucc a person like you got a personal trait from the beginning?… but it explains it… where that taster trait of yours comes from.

ProfessonOAK: I will answer all the relevant questions in bullet points.

- @JuicyBoi69: No, I will have to refuse your offer, we already plan to use it in our guild promotion.

- @JargoTheJargonSlayer: From our countless meetings with the natives and the details in the knowledge section, the imprint works by creating tattoos from the blood of the hunt on the body which enables the Trogoldi warriors to use the aspects of the beasts for their own.

But we have seen that most of the Trogoldi warriors that hunted us only had one type of beast imprint of different variants which will shine in their bodies as they hunt us. Meaning we can't use different kinds of beasts for the imprint. Well, this is just our prediction, we are still not sure as our knowledge has been locked until we reach level 10.

@Noobsman my trait is nothing special, but as a guild leader I need to hide it, but I can tell you one thing, the name "taster" Indicates it's something similar to the Alchemy systems in old games. Try tasting anything you come across, maybe you can find something.

HandSlave: Oh he is tasting alright.

ProfessorOAK: @HandSlave ??

Though GeneralMayFly didn't come online during his thread, Oak was already very happy with the result and only a bit confused by Handslave's last line.

*****

"Mister Fedorov, you were an immigrant from a cannibal camp of Karabits who was saved by our military 30 years ago at the age of 15, joined civil services five years later, and worked as an intern in the civilian hospital. Dreaming to be a field medic so that you can save soldiers like Martyr Fedorov who was the soldier that saved you all those years ago… right?" Farsight asked, her expression normal.

But Tarkov was already sweating on the side as he noticed another figure in farsight's room beside some researchers.

It was the man after whom the city they were in was named, the only grade four externalist in a hundred-kilometer radius, and also the mayor named Wilkis Riber.

As for Girisia, he was not as ignorant as to not remember the face of Wilkis. Wilkis was the man he knew the most about, as his brother and Wilkis later turned to blood brothers in the future. So he knew what kind of man Wilkis was personally too.

'But why can't I remember this chick.' From his memory, there never existed a woman named Farsight in Riber city or at least he was ignorant of it.

"Yes! bout that Miss Farsight. I don't remember any of it and I would still be ignorant about my past if not for the help of Mr. Gravi from the intelligence department." Girisia knew he needed to explain himself at this point.

"Don't look at me like that young miss, I only became self-aware six months ago and it took me a while to adapt to the language and knowledge that was in my head. It was not until I saw the Anomans that I understood where my calling was."

"Six months ago?" Farsight inquired.

"Yes, I think it is around six months, though not sure," Girisia said after thinking.

"Then do you know why we called you here?" She asked again.

"No, I am still confused about it. I don't understand what you find so interesting about me that you asked for a meeting before I exposed my abilities." From his abilities, he meant his understanding of the anoman garbled words.

"Then I will be straightforward with this." She said, not wanting to waste any time for herself and the Mayor.

"You should already know that your life expectancy is no more than 5months." She articulated.

"Yes, it's a sad reality that I have to come to accept." He nodded, there was not a hint of desperation on his face.

"Then you should understand the reason for it and why it interested me so much." She said, opening the report on the screen.

"Well you see Mister Fedorov, your brain is heavily damaged but due to a mutation, it can function normally. But not without a cost." She explained. "The brain is a sensitive machine, with most of its parts broken. It is somehow overworking itself and exhausting your vitality, if you had remained like earlier, you may still be able to live for long. But the moment you gained your wisdom back was the moment your life expectancy started to decrease at a rapid pace."

"And this is what interested me initially, I had planned to do brain surgery and find the mutation responsible for such a magical effect on thinking ability. As if this kind of mutation could be mimicked we could have overclocked our brain during certain situations to gain certain advantages." She said her initial plan for Girisia directly. She had wanted to examine Girisia's plan the moment she read his report. Her mouth was watering at the prospects of the recognition this discovery would have given her.

She was well known in her circle as crazy for her work, but how crazy even a person like Tarkov didn't know. But he knew getting her interest in yourself as a test subject is never good.

"But with the recent discovery of your ability to understand the Anoman language I know we can't harm you in any way, but I would still like to do a brain scan. And don't worry, it won't hurt you one bit."

Only now does Girisia understand Tarkov's worry and why he should be worried about this woman. He felt glad that he told about his ability to understand players earlier and not use it as a chip for future use. Because who knew, if he hadn't done it, his head would already be on an operating table.

'Where the fuck did this crazy woman come from?... Why have I never heard of her?'

Your gift is the motivation for my creation. Give me more motivation!

Ignoring the above message

So what to add here... lemme think. Hmm!

Dunno, so lets just tell me something about yourself in the comments.

BTW I know my novel has no big action scenes and its just story upon story and info dump upon info dump. But this is important, as all of it is a setup for volume two.

It will tell the tale between the five year gap of the players. And story wise would have a lot more stuff going on. As MC has started his path of the mutant along with Tarkov who will be his bodyguard. The unknown citadel and thorn city, both will play a huge role as MC tries to manage political interest of his own and gain power on the side. And learn the truth about the Mutant path....
