"Be there by 7 p.m. Don't be late. If can, bring your husband with you." Diya nodded her head tiredly although Kaia can't see her.

Ajay had been ignoring her since that day in the study. He was still the same but he avoided being alone with her. He stopped driving her to the kindergarten. So when Kaia told her to bring him to tonight's reunion, she didn't know how to reply to her.

Diya was watching TV when the entrance door opened. She eagerly stood up expecting Ajay only to sit back down dejected. "At least you can try to hide that you're disappointed to see me, sister-in-law." Veer sat down beside her. "You know it's not true, Veer.".

Veer observed her properly. "What happened?". Diya waved her hands and sighed, "It's nothing. I have a reunion to attend tonight and my friend asked me to bring your brother along. But I don't know whether to ask him or not.". "That's it?" Veer took out his phone and dialed Ajay's number. "No, no! Veer, don't!".

"What?". Diya shook her head hysterically at Veer when she realized that Ajay had picked up. "Bro, I have something to ask you.". "I'm busy.". Veer realized Ajay was in a meeting when he heard a presentation going on in the background. A playful look appeared on his look as he wanted to test out something.

"It's about my sister-in-law.". Veer was smiling brightly with pride when he heard Ajay stopping the meeting. 'From canceling an important appointment to stopping a meeting halfway, you sure have come a long way brother.'.

"What happened?". Veer passed the phone to Diya and encouraged her to ask him. Diya reluctantly placed it on her ear. "Hello.". Ajay was taken aback to suddenly hear her voice. "Diya, what's wrong?".

"There's a reunion tonight and my friends want me to bring you along. Can you... come?" Diya was waiting to get turned down but Ajay said, "Of course. When and where? I'll come there straight from my workplace.". Diya looked at Veer with a smile and nodded her head excitedly. She hung up after giving Ajay the details.

"Thank you, Veer," she said passing the phone back to him. "Ah. No need to thank me. Anything for my sister-in-law. Oh right, I ordered pizza," he said winking at her. "Hmmm, my favorite. I can't wait!" she cooed behind him.

Diya was welcomed by Kaia and Ravi at the restaurant's entrance. To her surprise, Ravi had brought someone with him. "Diya and Kaia, this is my girlfriend, Mira. And Mira, these are my best friends, Diya and Kaia.". They shook each other's hands. Mira was very friendly and the women became friends instantly.

They took their seats and waited for others to arrive. Diya looked at the entrance from time to time. She convinced herself thinking that he was just running late. She would be so embarrassed if Ajay choose not to come as she already informed everyone that he was joining them.

Diya was busy thinking about Ajay for the last few days that she didn't bother to check the attendees' list for the reunion. "Long time no see, Diya." Diya felt the voice familiar to her and the glaring faces of Ravi and Kaia confirmed her guess. 'Tonight's going to be very peaceful.'.
