CHAPTER SIX:AN EXPOSITIRY OF THE PAST.(part 1.)

Isla Amelia and Ryleigh Georgia only hated us, Rylee Athena and Natalia Quinn because of replacing them in their lovers' lives. What a silly reason,have you ever tried to recall the past and found out that the future is a mystery.

The night sky was aglow with bright city lights and skyscrapers that glowed with different colors and patterns each time. Turning into different colours and patterns like a kaleidescope of colors.

The pale crescent moon shone like a silvery claw in the night sky as it helped escort the fishers and acted like a lighthouse on a bay nearby to the sea.

And maybe there'd be a good film on in the evening,Rylee Athena thought to herself as she picked up the remote control from the table in front of her,her younger brother Mason Asher was busy finishing his homework while her adoptive mother was busy refreshing herself with her facemask.

Rylee Athena then pressed some digits which led to a specific channel on the television where her mother had ordered her to go there. She then placed the remote control on the table again and then sat down in a cross-legged position on the couch watching the programme.

"Instead of masking your beautiful face, enhance your natural features with a simple application of makeup. When simplifying your makeup application, adhere to the adage "less is more." Use a minimal amount of foundational makeup to even your tone and cover your problem areas which you should do by lightly applying eye, lip, and cheek makeup to highlight and intensify your gorgeous assets." A young, glamorous lady said with a sweet voice as she explained how makeup could be used to enhance one's appearance and not change it. She then held up a small medium sized bottle which was coloured pink and with a floral patterned label reading, Ali's Moisturizer and then continued," Ali's moisturizer is one of the best in the country with less negative effects and high positive effects. It is often sold in their online website and you can opt to go to their chain stores and buy one too,some have oils while others do not so as to cater for people with skin problems as not all of us are the same." The show now was getting boring,she was persevering because her adoptive mother,Lily Wyatt was present. She was very interested in make-up and always wanted to feel like a young lady although she was already forty-five years old, almost surpassing menopause with her only son being 20 years old.

The lady was still continuing even as Rylee Athena was thinking to herself.

" Moisturizing your face is one of the most important steps in applying make-up. Moisturizers soften and hydrate your skin keeping it healthy and fresh. You can apply it by evenly spreading a pea-sized amount of moisturizer over the contours of your face and allowing the moisturizer to dry for approximately five minutes then continuing with the other make-up procedures. " She had explained and illustrated the process of applying the Moisturizer on the skin by applying it herself. She had first of all, opened the bottle's white coloured cap and squeezed the bottle of the Moisturizer out in some small amounts on her palm and applying it gently on her skin using her fingertips and then continued.

" If you are prone to skin irritation, avoid scented moisturizers and if your skin is naturally oily, avoid moisturizers that contain additional oils. Moisturizers with oils can cause acne which can ruin one's skin and health too. It's better if you pay a visit to a dermatologist before trying anything that can cause harm to you. After a commercial break of advertising sweet wine from a sophisticated brand, the young lady came back and continued with her stupid, boring show. Rylee Athena could not even understand why some women wasted their money instead of carrying out an investment in a business and get profits after doing business.

" Enhancing your Lips, Cheeks, and Eyes.

Applying blush to your cheeks. When striving for a natural look, opt for blush over bronzer. Choose a blush that is subtle, soft, and as close to your natural flush as possible. Apply the blush to the apples of your cheeks. Blend the product until it subtly falls where your natural flush occurs. You can use your fingertips,a sponge or a brush. Also enhance your lips' natural pigment. Complete your simple look with a lipstick and or gloss that intensifies the natural pigment of your lips. Select a light pink, peach, or sand colored lipstick or even a light red lipstick. Lightly dab the lipstick on your bottom lip and rub your lips together so as to decrease the intensity making it look real. Apply a dash of clear lip gloss on top of the lipstick after applying it. For an even simpler look, skip the lipstick and just apply a gloss,it will make your lips shine and also enhance a teenage look.

There's a list of things you will need if you want to apply make-up and they include a Facial cleanser,you can also choose your favorite brand to buy from. A moisturizer,a Primer,a Foundation, a Concealer, a Translucent or maybe you can get a Tinted Powder, a Blush,Lipstick or Lipgloss,an Eyelash Curler,Mascara and a variety of brushes and sponges.

Nothing could have topped the special feeling that ended a long time ago when Rylee Athena's adoptive father, the kind and generous Lucas Darien had not yet passed away and left his family.

At that time a good film and a plate of Mum's big chunky buns and a bowl of egg noodles with a bowl of soup on the side.

Sometimes she would even make these lovely mince beef pies and meatballs with minced beef and flour and onions, salt and pepper on them for the pies or even fruit tarts and some homemade baked cake.

And they were really something else,so sweet, delicate and yummy at the same happenstance time. It could not have gotten any better than that moment... and that... that was Love from the heart of a father, could not be replaced by anything.

She could still remember the kind of meals they ate together as a family. And on Sunday and Saturdays we would go for an outing with their neighbors and family.

And her Mum in the kitchen, and my Dad reading them a sweet storybook.

Her father's death caused so much tragedy that the situation forced them to change,their father was long gone.

'Well, this was it'. I said to myself as I took up the remote control to switch to another channel then suddenly....

..........An urgent news suddenly appeared that left us shocked beyond words,eyes popped out in astonishment.

"Hey,turn up the volume," Lily Wyatt said in an authoritative tone,"Let's watch this,it seems juicy and interesting enough."

So we both sat down again, I was interested but at the same time bored,this time with my younger brother, Mason Asher with us watching the news.

( At a party room in the city full of people, Journalism companies and villagers.)

A short and brief bulletin was announced.

Isla Amelia,a daughter of the Graham family who owned the Graham corporation,the stunned beauty of the city,a perfect daughter: hardworking, wise, intelligent, caring and mostly of all gorgeous with Max's group current Vice president,Max Ali Maddox,a perfect husband material, handsome,rich, successful, intelligent and also caring to his family. Although he was a stone faced person and always cold towards other people,he was a totally different person when it came family matters.

Isla Amelia had worn a sequin,backless, long sleeved mermaid dress that showed all her curves and beautiful body shape with a half-up, half-down hairstyle which had given her a demure and mysterious look with her silky auburn hair curled up and in loose waves, then swept to the side and across her shoulder that was done that purposely to reveal a section of her back that showed a pale, glossy and soft skin with a necklaces that dropped down over her back giving her skin a dazzling light when it was exposed to some light and glittery stilettos that shimmered by the flashing lights of the cameras that made her look angelic under the lights. The camera crews broadcasted the event all around town and made it come to life.

Isla Amelia was an actress,a host,a model and a Vice president at Graham corporation at the same time,a perfect role model to the Juniors of the City. It was said that of Isla Amelia that the camera loved her. Meaning that she looked very attractive on film and in photographs.

And Ali Maddox in a black,glossy suit with a dark blue waistcoat with a boutonniere on it and a dark blue tie with white stripes and a black jacket on. He had worn black, glossy and shiny brogues that matched his suit very well. He looked like a prince charming in a fairy tale.

The two were both involved in a romantic typical drama as Isla Amelia really loved Ali Maddox but he had no feelings for her,even to an extent that their parents arranged a marriage for them. It was very interesting as Isla Amelia herself was never interested in men but had fallen for Ali Maddox, a man with the same view but was still not interested in silly and stupid melodramatic romantic relationship but only in work and business development.

The news caster began, "Max's corporation has expanded it's boundaries both interior and exterior and is planning to sign a contract with a foreign company in working in an island improvement project and also cooperating with a tourism company,a resort company and the travel agency but this shocking will stun you as Max's Vice president, Ali Maddox is allegedly involved in a romantic relationship drama with the daughter of the Graham family, Isla Amelia and are ready to get married as proposed by their families that is because they were engaged while still young children. The both are still hesitant to continue as there seems to be a bump in the road and what is it exactly?" The report paused to ask the question.

Isla Amelia was walking flawlessly as she approached,Ali Maddox who was looking the other side.

"Miss. Graham look this way!" Is what the reporters told Miss. Isla Amelia.

The scene now was both of them in a room sorrounded by journalists from all directions asking them both stupid, heart breaking and some serious questions like, " What do you plan to do in the future, can you please enlighten us?"

"Will the abrupt decision affect the company's projects?"

"Sir. Ali Maddox,do you really love Miss. Isla Amelia or is it just an act?"

"Mr. Ali Maddox, did you finally have an interest in women?"

"Do you plan on merging the two companies and give rise to a stronger one?"

"Miss. Graham,are you really in love with Mr. Ali Maddox?"

"Mr. Ali Maddox,are you sure that there is no other woman you have fallen in love with before?"

" Miss. Graham,how do you view loving and being loved?"

"Is it a personal decision or family matters?"

"How long did you hide this relationship?"

"How long have you known each other?"

"Is the marriage somehow involved with the welfare of the businesses?"

Miss. Isla Amelia got nearer to Ali Maddox and inquired the question, "Maddox,Why are you so reluctant and hesitant to marry me? Don't I fit your expectations?"

Ali Maddox glared at her unwavering after the question and answered, "You think I don't know your plans,I know what you want to do and what you are planning to do,you just want to get your hands on Max's corporation secrets and disappear like smoke."

"Nonsense!" Interrupted Miss. Isla Amelia as an angry expression replaced the happy one on her face.

Ali Maddox was glaring at Isla Amelia angrily with his fists clenched as she opened up the pink velvet box where a large dazzling diamond ring pair had been carefully placed. She smiled heavenly as she looked at him without even a worry crisscrossing her mind.

"Don't cross your boundaries,I never had a say in the decision,it was none of my business anyways." Said Mr. Ali Maddox in a firm tone as he looked at Miss. Isla Amelia with his cold stare,his velvety blue eyes and deep as the ocean could not easily foretell what he was thinking about.

"I believe our love is boundless,I had no say too," she paused and looked unwavering at him for the second time. " But I'm still smiling heavenly, aren't I?" Said Miss. Isla Amelia as she looked back into his eyes,her beautiful Hazel eyes had more to say than just beauty but also cunning and crafty woman full of tricks.

Then an old man in a wheelchair appeared being pushed by a rather young man.

"Mr. Raymond Oliver!" Everyone in the room save for Ali Maddox and Isla Amelia exclaimed as their eyes and attention turned to him. Yes Mr. Raymond Oliver,he was the old man who was behind Max's success because Mr. Ali Maddox's parents,Mr. Eugene Liam,his father and Mrs. Genesis Mill ,his mother had died in a planned car accident as his greedy uncle, Nicholas Thomas had wanted to take over the company but he soon got caught and went to jail. Mr. Raymond Oliver was the current president of Max's corporation who was Ali Maddox's grandfather. He was smiling heavenly as he looked at the both of them thinking of his upcoming grandchildren.

"The agreement of the two to marry each other was a decision and a promise that I made with her grandfather a long time ago and it's a debt I'm paying off and mainly because they were together since childhood,she took care of him and had him safe all the time even from bullying,that is why they today she developed a strong will in her heart. So that is why I want Isla Amelia to marry Ali Maddox and continue on with the business and family line, I have nothing else to say." He then left the room.

She then took out the ring with her long, slender fingers and her pale pink nails and held it above her torso,she gazed at it as she turned it around and then looked up to Ali Maddox's face,lifted her heel and got closer to his ear and whispered to his softly and tenderly. "Marry me and I'll not let you down."

"Where are we taking this?" Ali Maddox asked in regards of the dead love that was between them. His voice was deep and sharp although he just murmured it sounded as if he had said it aloud.

"Don't dare test my patience." Said Isla Amelia as she angrily looked at the Ali Maddox while gritting her teeth and clenching the ring between her fingers. She then held it high again.

"Where are we taking this?" He asked once again and added.

" This ring does not belong to me,it was a gift from another man and you expect me to accept it? You must be crazy and out of your mind." He finished and then threw the ring off the grip of Isla Amelia,it fell and rolled on the ground leaving the other one in the box, Ali Maddox then looked back to Isla Amelia and sneered at her.

"If I disappear like that ring to an unknown destination,will you come looking for me or will you just assume that I had never existed before?" Was the question that Isla Amelia asked Ali Maddox before angrily storming out of the room with a group of reports following her but failing to get to her since her bodyguards prevented them as she got into her white minivan and soon after the chauffer coughed up the engine and drove off at a blood curling speed and disappeared in the dark night with only it's lights lit up.
