Guardian of the Pacific: The Incredible Adventures of the Giant Turtle

The boy woke up as a giant turtle in the Pacific Rim. This is a story about a guy with a good moral compass. If you want to read how MC destroys cities and sinks ships, then this fanfic is not for you. There will be no magical transformation back into a human. This is my first fanfic. English is not my native language, so I used a translator. In the first chapters, I used GPT for some paragraphs of text, but the result is not satisfactory. Then everything is manual work. I do not own the rights to the universe and characters in this story.

The Three-Day Lunch

I probably won't be able to eat it in one sitting. It's too big!, I thought wearily. "I've been working on it for several hours. I think I need to spend a few days here. I can feel how my wounds are healing. Even one meal has improved my well-being so much. Apparently, the body regenerates much faster than that of humans."

Sitting on the shore near the ruined city, I was able to reflect on my situation. I wasn't fazed by the fact that I was eating Kaiju in front of the whole world. Difficult times made it possible not to pay attention to such things. But I'm not sure if it looks as terrible as I think it does. There are people who easily watch such brutal scenes in the wild, and perhaps the people in this city enjoy watching their enemy turn into food.

"It seems to me that I have not only satisfied my hunger, it seems that something else is happening inside me. I hope it's something good. I don't want to turn into an incomprehensible creature controlled by aliens."

Exhaling tiredly, I looked at the people and the city. It is very difficult for them to recover from such a disaster. Helicopters flew in different directions, evacuating people who were pulled out of the rubble. The boats were also engaged in the same. It seems that many parts of the city were difficult to reach because of the destroyed buildings. Many people looked at me from time to time.

"I don't know what they're thinking, but it seems their fear of me has lessened a little, even though I'll always remind them of this nightmare."

"Unfortunately, I can't help free people from the rubble. Every step I take causes a micro-earthquake, and that's the last thing they need," looking at the bay of the city, I saw several ships with their keels sticking out of the water. The ships were overturned and sunk. People circled on boats around these sunken boats. "I might be able to get these ships ashore. I don't think I can make it any worse, if there are people left in the air bubbles inside the ships, they will only be better off if I get the boats out," thinking that I got up and headed there.

As I approached, the people around me became very tense. This reaction is already starting to annoy me, but there is nothing I can do about it. I stopped at the first ship and grabbed it with both hands. My hands were still sore, but they had recovered enough for simple work. I was in no hurry to do something, but looked at the people in the boat nearby. People there were shouting something and waving their hands. I nodded my head to them and pointed to the ship with another nod. They didn't seem to understand me and were looking at each other, so I let the ship go. What I wanted to find out is if it can be flipped. There could be divers there and they could die if I do something drastic.

I kept looking at these people, trying to find out if they understood what I wanted. They were talking on the radio and scratching their heads. Apparently, they consulted with someone senior in rank. So 10 minutes passed when they started shouting at me. I found it a little funny when their voices sounded quite scared, but it amused me. People who do something brave when they are shaking with fear are always fascinating.

"I guess they're giving me permission," thinking like that, I took hold of the ship from both sides again and started to lift it. The water spread in all directions and pushed the small boats around. A moment later, the battered hull of the ship was visible. "Ouch! It's only half the ship! What can I do? If I just flip it over, it'll sink again." Looking at the shore, it seemed to me that I could drag this ship there, so I began to walk there slowly. The people in the boats were silent, obviously agreeing with me.

Approaching the shore, I pulled the ship and with a creak put it on the coastal road. There was nothing else there, apart from the wrecked cars and the wreckage of the building. When I was done, I went back into the water, looking for the rest of the sunken ships.

"Phew! I'm tired." I thought wearily. Pulling out so many wrecks was not difficult, but it took a lot of time. The boat people and I made a great team. They would swim to the crash sites and shout permission, and I was already doing the rest of the work. This kind of work made my heart a little happy. It's nice to help, it fills life with meaning. After finishing my work, I calmly returned to my lunch.

Three long days passed like this. Basically, Gamera ate and slept. He couldn't think of anything else to do, so he just went about his business and watched people. Eventually, he finished his meal and had nothing else to do here. Leaving only the bare bones of the Kaiju, he headed into the ocean. His goal was to find a gorge somewhere on the ocean floor where he could get a good night's sleep. All this food made him very tired. With a full stomach, Gamera plunged into the ocean and headed for the depths, where no one would disturb him.
