The boy woke up as a giant turtle in the Pacific Rim. This is a story about a guy with a good moral compass. If you want to read how MC destroys cities and sinks ships, then this fanfic is not for you. There will be no magical transformation back into a human. This is my first fanfic. English is not my native language, so I used a translator. In the first chapters, I used GPT for some paragraphs of text, but the result is not satisfactory. Then everything is manual work. I do not own the rights to the universe and characters in this story.
People were walking around the rusty, old ship and looking for surviving things. Everything was covered with raw clay and sand. Wooden objects were the most affected. Water and bacteria did their work and organic objects could not be stored for long in the ocean.
AAAAAAAIIIYAYAYA
Sitting near the ship, Torterra heard a woman's scream from inside the ship. After a couple of seconds, Yun ran out of there, continuing to scream. "There's a human skeleton!" She cried.
Only Alejandro and Yun entered the middle. The head of the base, whose name I still don't know because everyone just calls him Sir, was standing nearby with his lighting men. He did not interfere but waited when his help was needed.
If Yun found a skeleton, it means the ship is not as old as I thought. The ship looks like a fishing ship, so they are unlikely to find anything valuable there.
"I found wine in the captain's cabin!" Alejandro left the ship with a bottle in his hands. "Let's see what year it is." He approached the light and began to dust the bottle. After a minute he was able to read what was written there. "1981 year! Pretty good."
Yun was filming everything all the time. She ran up to Alejandro and took the bottle from him. "I heard that such bottles can be sold expensively!" She started looking for something on the Internet. "Only 500 dollars! So scantily!" She was disappointed with the find, so she returned the bottle to Alejandro.
"Looks like I have to go find another ship." Torterra thought and started to rise to his feet to go to the ocean.
"Stop-stop-stop! Don't go now! Please let me interview you!" Yun began to panic because when Torterra goes to the ocean, he travels there for months! If he left now, she would be sent home immediately and not allowed to return. Therefore, she needed to at least interview him.
Torterra turned and looked at her. He thought for a long time, but in the end he said: "No!" He was worried that she would start asking uncomfortable questions that he wouldn't be able to answer. Even if he remained silent, it would be enough for people in the world to start gossiping about him. Although this did not concern him, because he did not communicate much with people, but it could add to the problems of Marshal.
Yun froze in place. She did not expect such an answer. She needed to figure something out, she couldn't just give up. "Are you going to look for another ship?" Torterra didn't answer, he just kept walking. "You will not find a ship with gold!" Torterra stopped when he heard her yell at his back. He turned to hear what she meant.
"Ships with gold don't sink every day! There were not many such ships in the entire history of navigation. All you can find are transport ships that carried all kinds of junk. But I have an idea. There are people in the world who rummage for treasures in the ocean. They know exactly where to look! But at a depth of 5000 meters it is difficult to find anything and it is even more difficult to get gold from there. What if I find such people? We can cooperate with them for 10% of the found treasure, they will show us where to look!" She spoke quickly and eventually began to gasp for air.
"Good idea! Get on with it. I will be back in a few days. I hope you find the right person during this time." Hearing his answer, she began to squeal and scream with joy. In fact, she was granted permanent residency on the island.
The head of the base grimaced with displeasure. It was as if he was only standing there to get an opportunity to put chains on Yun and imprison her, but after Torterra's words, there was nothing more he could do with her.
The Titan left his home and headed for the ocean. It was still night in the yard and a beautiful moon was shining in the sky. Countless stars captured our planet and surrounded it from all sides. All the suns and galaxies twinkling in space were very clearly visible in the ocean. Such clear nights were very beautiful.
After admiring the night sky, Torterra plunged back into the ocean. It was hard to find the ship just by digging through the mud at the bottom, but he had an idea.
Although metal does not have a specific smell, when it rusts, corroding, it releases oxidized metal molecules into the water. Torterra could feel these molecules with his nose. It is incredible, but the nose is a highly precise organism that directly works with atoms and distinguishes them, sending different sensations to the brain. The nose not only feels the presence of atoms in the air, it can also distinguish them!
Even now, it is difficult for people to see atoms, and living organisms work with them every second. Torterra's nose was very large and sensitive, so he decided to try to sense the atoms of rust in the ocean. While he was carrying the ship to his island, he already remembered the smell of rust. Therefore, as soon as he plunged into the water, he immediately began to work.
A few days later he stood in front of a large ship. This ship had many guns and looked quite formidable. It had a badly damaged hull, but overall it looked pretty impressive. The ship lay in the middle of the white desert of the seabed.
It was not difficult to find him. It was enough for Torterry to smell it and swim in the opposite direction of the current that brought that smell, and he immediately found this ship.
It was a large battleship 250 meters (820 ft) long. Torterra carefully dug it out of the mud and took it with both hands.
CREEEE
The hull of the ship creaked as it was lifted. Torterra's hands crushed the metal where he held it. Strong currents of water and mud began to swirl around as the giant warship was lifted from the bottom.
This ship lay here for decades, and no one dared to disturb its peace, until a tall beast appeared in front of it, with enough strength to place it on its shoulders and carry it wherever the beast wanted.
Torterra carried a ship twice his size on his shoulder. Walking slowly along the bottom of the ocean, he made deep holes in the ground with each step. He was heading back to his island.
POV: Yun
When our giant left, the whole room fell into silence. Everyone looked at Yun with judgmental looks. She caused an accident at the base and no one liked it. Dealing with a giant beast here was considered a very dangerous business with a high risk to life.
"Oh well! It was fun... What a late hour! It's time for us all to go to bed. We're all tired here… So I guess I'll go to my room." Clapping her hands lightly, she quickly left here.
"Yes… Go." The base manager said, gritting his teeth in anger. He had to hold back his anger a lot today, and it was already giving him a headache. He felt that this girl would turn the base upside down.
The next day, Yun get to work. She quickly collected all the materials taken during the night and sent them to a special person for verification. A few hours later, she received permission to publish. She was happy about it and jumping on the bed, posted her videos on the Internet. Having finished doing this, she immediately started looking for people who were looking for sunken gold in the ocean.
She asked her fans for help, and they immediately joined the cause. Her videos were gaining popularity by the minute, and she regretted returning Alejandro's bottle of wine. She wanted to celebrate it. By the end of the day, she had even received many requests from TV channels around the world to allow them to show her videos.
It was a wild success that made her head spin. She did not leave her room all day, constantly communicating with different people and fans.
PLUP
She received a letter in the mail from some historian from Oxford. She read the letter and immediately answered it.
She ran to the base manager to arrange another permit to visit the island. And a few days later, a British underwater archaeologist named George Smith arrived on the island.
The case with the search for sunken ships was solved and soon they could get rich. All this noise reached even the Marshal. When he received a report from the base on the island, he was very surprised, but dismissed the case. He had a lot to do.
"People! Torterra returns to the island again. He's bringing a big ship with him, so be on the lookout." The leader made the same speech once more. Yun was delighted and prepared the camera for the video.
"How exciting! I will see Torterra with my own eyes for the first time! Hes existence is a miracle for every archaeologist." Said Mr. Smith, standing next to the young lady who had invited him here. She simply turned the page in his life, opening a new fantastic world with countless possibilities.
"Here he is!" Yun pointed with her hand in the direction from where the splashes of water were heard. The water roared louder every second, and at some point it exploded.
BAHSHSHSHS
A huge ship literally flew out from under the water. Its dimensions were impressive. The nose of the ship rose up to the sky, scattering water in all directions. A giant appeared from the side of the ship holding him. A scream of bent metal filled the island. The ship creaked and groaned in pain as Torterra slowly pulled it onto the island.
BOOM
As Torterra took his first step onto the island, the ground cracked and sent a shockwave through the land. Slowly, he began to lower the ship, from which flowed water that looked like tears of happiness. The ship seemed glad to see sunlight again. A beautiful rainbow appeared as the wind blew the spray of water around.
"It is incredibly! He just pulled that ship out of the ocean!" Mr. Smith was amazed. This scene will remain in his memories for the rest of his life.
"So! So! Another masterpiece!" Yun shouted next to him. Waving and continuing to shoot on camera.
"Perfect! Who do you think will take care of this ship?!" The base manager grumbled in annoyance. He couldn't allow many outsiders to enter the base, which meant he would have to allocate people for the job.
